Breakfast was included buffet style English breakfast and continental. Tea coffee applejuice cranberry Freshfruit, yogurts. Bread that you can toast and jams . Yes plenty for all .

Nothing we didn't like ..

Very nice room, bed was super comfortable. Nice bathroom. Restaurant was decorated really nicely and staff were friendly.

Only issue with the bathroom, wanted a bath after a long hike and the plug wouldn’t work so it kept on draining, only worked if you kept your foot on it. Breakfast was quite cold the first day, wasn’t very enjoyable. Much better the second day, nice and hot and overall several good options. Food was generally very overpriced for what it was in the restaurant. I know it’s a tourist place but both myself and my partner felt it was very overpriced. (£19.50 for a standard portion of scampi and chips).

The balcony was nice to sit on and have my room coffee as had got the balcony with the room. Room was very clean and nice, also the main building was nice inside and out and the staff were very attentive and hard working. The brekfast was good well cooked and nice and hot a good selection of items to choose from. The bar had a good selection and the secound night noticed a few more ales I could have trided but did not.

One problem I would say is the heat in the room there was blinds to lower in the loft space and open for the heat to escape but while a small fan provided in the couboard might have been better to have had some kind of air con, as would get hotter as we get warmer summers. At 18 deg one night was hard to sleep even with the fan and window open. Possibly also bigger sinage in side the bar as to where the tiolets are as quite small espeicaly for people with bad eyesight. Also odered a meal later on in the evening but it was cooked but not that hot, maybe a quick check with a probe might be better before serving Must admit the staff were very busy at this time when I ordered it.

The property has recently been re furbished to a very good standard. The food is to a good standard with plenty of choice at breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

The rooms although new and adequate are quite tight with little room for manoeuvre. But just enough. The room tariff is not cheap but does include breakfast. My biggest disappointment was the expensive evening meals and drink. A pint and a large wine was over £16 a time making it an expensive evening out.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Windermere, right in the heart of the Lake District, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making check-in quick and stress-free. Freshly prepared with plenty of choice, including locally sourced ingredients, it set me up perfectly for days of walking and exploring. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better – just a short walk from Windermere town and Bowness, with easy access to boat trips, hiking routes, and cosy pubs. What stood out most was the warm, personal service. The staff were always happy to recommend places to visit, from scenic trails to hidden gems for dining, which made the trip feel even more special. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and Lake District charm. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Windermere – whether for a romantic escape, a walking holiday, or just a peaceful break in one of the UK’s most stunning landscapes.

The location was great as the Inn is right by the lake, with direct access to the water. The pub garden was great with lots of seating outside. The room was basic but clean with small bathroom, but good shower.

The breakfast buffet was basic and not very appetising, it could be set up in a better way. Lots of waiting around and when busy it was difficult to get through. The staff did not clean tables so there was a lot of dirty crockery around which was not very pleasant. For the price of the room with breakfast this was not good value for money. There was no oat milk and no vegetarian sausages. The other thing was checking in, when we arrived all staff very busy at the bar and it took a while for the to check us in.

The room was good as was the location

I was disappointed as I stopped at this place a few years ago . Then it had an excellent restaurant within the hotel which was far superior to the offerings at present. The place is now owned by a huge chain that owns at least 5 establishments in the town,with a very similar menu at each one . Not that the food is bad but in my opinion it should be better at a hotel in this price range. More like a Travel lodge, on my next visit I will definitely pre book a restaurant for at least one night of our stay as all the best ones are fully booked well in advance.

Extremely dog-friendly. Room was extremely well decorated, furnished and very clean, with excellent bathroom facilities also. Room also had its own rear-door access direct to car park which was extremely useful. Meals were high quality, with plenty of varied choice, and choice of meal table very flexible, both indoors and outdoors. Vast majority of staff were extremely pleasant, interested and helpful

Just one member of breakfast service staff let all of the other truly superb Inn staff down. This one individual was extremely sharp and rude regarding which breakfast service utensils to use, and this was very obviously a repetition of past behaviour as other staff colleagues commented openly, in an attempted humorous way, regarding such past similar comments to customers. Unacceptable and needs management action.

Location was fab plenty to do.breakfast was lovely

Didn't like the layout of the room as the television is in the wrong place to chill out on the bed and watch it so got a stiff neck. Mattress and pillows need updating were lumpy and uncomfortable

Breakfast was really excellent as was evening meal. Location is really stunning right on edge of the lake so able to sit and relax while having a drink and watching the cruise boats come in. Staff were very friendly. Nice idea to have free drink if no room service needed. Only stayed two nights so no need for clean towels etc. The room was just across the road from the hotel and was very comfortable, clean and lots of lovely toiletries. Not provided in many places any more The hair dryer was good. Always a bonus. View of the lake from bedroom window. I would fuller recommend this place and hope to return.

A bottle of fizz was in the room but we weren’t told who had provided it our daughters had arranged it as a birthday surprise. Just little thing but it would have been nice to know that.
