Room was spacious and comfy, lots of choice at breakfast with a small selection of pastries and a choice of hot food. Staff were very friendly at breakfast. Everything was very easy check in and out, didn't have any issues. Got there a bit early for check in but that wasn't a problem didn't have to pay extra to check in then. Great location in Ambleside, handy for buses, walks, pubs, everything.

My room was on the ground floor, looking over the car park. A view would have been nice and it's a pain having to choose between natural light and people walking past your window seeing in. Felt more like a hotel then a B&B somehow, perhaps because it wasn't a family run thing with different people at breakfast every day. Not sure if that's a criticism more just a note. A fridge would be nice so you can store snacks for hikes easier but then again you can also pop into Tesco on the way out each morning. Not sure about value for money but then it was the lakes in mid august so maybe can't be helped.

Location was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and lots of useful information given on arrival. The chap on reception even carried my suitcase to my room which was lovely as it was on the top floor and I may have struggled. Despite checking out at 10 am we were told we could leave the car in the car park but to be out by 3 pm checking in time for other guests. This was really helpful.

Nothing to dislike and our only grumble was the parking was a little tight and not too many parks available.

Everything about our stay here was fantastic. The team were super friendly and efficient and it really was incredibly comfortable and felt very special. Location is perfect for everywhere and hotel parking was easy even through a busy Easter. We stayed in two rooms, one with two singles and a family room with a double and two singles. All the beds are proper [NOT roll-away or camp beds] so everyone slept very well and there was plenty of space in each room for us to relax and get ready for the day/night. Breakfast was super yummy and they created a special table for the 6 of us so we could be sure to sit together. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Sometimes a little tricky to be understood (language) Hard parking sideways on a slope (but super grateful for parking to be avail) Bedroom lights not the best light intensity for reading by - especially when working at the desk.

Our stay at the townhouse was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The charming room was impeccably clean and comfortable, with cozy furnishings and thoughtful touches, with an outstanding view of Ambleside and the mountains. The breakfast was simply outstanding, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a variety of delicious options. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. We can't wait to return

In the room we had the sink was in the room not the bathroom which was a tad awkward especially if you're using the bathroom in the early hours but this was minor when the room offered so much with a the view to make up for it

Very good breakfast. Plenty of choice and good service. The room was clean and spacious. Location wise, although it was a 10 min walk to lake, it was good that there was a bus stop right outside, which was well made use of

The car park was a little tight to navigate and it was disappointing to have fire escape outside the bedroom window (room 2), partly blocking view of the fells, although it was appreciated that this could not be changed.

It was a stunning room... spacious and super clean. Quiet and easy to come and go. The breakfast was lovely and asking for alternative milk was no issue at all which is refreshing!!!

Our bedroom window was wide open on arrival which we didn't realise and went out to explore leaving our bags behind. Personal preference but the beds were quiet soft and definitely felt abit saggy!!!

The location is very good - walking distance to everything in Ambleside, plus close to the bus stops to get to other parts of the Lake District. Breakfast included gluten free bread and cornflakes, always good to have!

There was a router (or something similar) in the room that had a constantly blinking light. During the daytime this wasn't very noticeable, but at night I did have to cover it with an item of clothing.

The Townhouse is so lovely. The room we stayed in (3) was very clean and had two super comfortable double beds. We slept like babies. The gentleman in reception was so helpful and carried my bag up to the room ( I was on crutches) Although on a main road there was little to no traffic noise. Restaurants & bars are with walking distance and there are plenty of attractions nearby. Breakfast was to die for. Highly recommend a stay here.

The location is fabulous. A two minute walk from the centre of Ambleside making access to shops, pubs and restaurants very easy. Private, free car parking on site so if you're on a walking break you never need to touch the car. The surrounding fells are all within walking distance. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and professional, the rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable and breakfast is beautiful with plenty to choose from.

There's nothing to dislike.
