Lovely big room with excellent facilities including a microwave. I didn’t want a cooked breakfast on this occasion but there were plenty of cold options supplied in the room. Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely big garden to walk my dog round.

The bed was too firm for me and due to its location on the main road there was lots of traffic noise throughout the night.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, easy to find and had lots of useful extras like the fridge and microwave - you could easily stay there for a few days and self-cater. I was with my dog so it was lovely of Maureen to say we could use the garden. There were lots of thoughtful extras to make you feel really welcome. I stayed a night on my way further north in Scotland and then a night on my way home. On the way up Maureen helpfully found some space in her freezer for my ice-blocks and frozen dog food!

There's nothing that can be done about it but as the accommodation is so convenient and easy to find off the main road into Moffat, I found the traffic noise throughout the night quite noisy - but then admittedly I'm a light sleeper and used to a very quiet house.

Absolutely loved our stay at grooms cottage the place was spotless & very very cosy 😀 Maureen the owner was the most friendliest lady we've come across nothing was too much trouble for her she brought us a very tasty cooked breakfast every morning & a sausage for our dog bini very thoughtful lady indeed the grounds are stunning everything about our stay was made to feel special so thank you so much Maureen your truly a Gem 💎

Absolutely nothing I would recommend grooms cottage 💯

Owner was very easy to communicate with as we had a late arrival time and as it was my partners birthday weekend away I asked if they could provide fizz and a banner, which they did and it was set up on arrival with 2 flutes. The place was spotless and cleaned with new towels each day and there was a beautiful big lawn for our dog to run around, all enclosed and safe. Maureen delivered a beautiful, freshly cooked breakfast each morning at a time of our choosing (and a sausage for his majesty!) and the room was equipped with bread, fresh orange, cereals, yoghurt, milk and filtered water. All restocked each day. (Oh, and dog treats!) The B&B is in walking distance of Moffat high street where there are shops, restaurants, pubs etc. and within driving distance of beautiful hill and lochside walks. Grooms Cottage is a unique B&B in that you are staying separate from the owners house. A really nice touch to have your own space and not feel like you’re intruding on anyone’s day/evening. Will definitely return!

The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring Moffat and surrounding area. It was only about a 5 minute walk from the main street where the shops, cafes and restaurants are. It sits in a lovely garden which our dog was allowed to explore. We had a good nights sleep due to the quiet location and the very comfy bed. Maureen met us on arrival and showed us into the cottage. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and more, no expense spared. There was also a little bag of treats for the dog. Breakfast was delivered to our door at the arranged time both mornings, it was hot and delicious, Halle also loved her cooked sausage which came with our own breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is clean, tastefully decorated, cozy, warm and spacious. Very quiet location just a 10 mins walk from the town centre, with a lovely garden view. Great cooked breakfast brought to us in the morning, plus continental breakfast items available. There are kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. Maureen is a fantastic host, very friendly and great with communication prior and during our stay. Thank you!

Very pretty little cottage, mostly contained in one room but with seperate bathroom, complete with electric shower. Very nicely set out, well furnished and has everything one might need, especially the fridge. Host Maureen met us on arrival and explained how everything works. She provides cereal, milk, butter, bread, juice etc and delivers an excellent cooked breakfast each morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Self contained and peaceful, plus really handy for the town. Everything you could need and more. So much better equipped than a regular B&B. Almost like self catering. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend a stay when visiting Moffat. Bed was super comfortable and bed linen was gorgeous too. Having a lovely sofa was a bonus. Really handy for Station Park for walking the dog.

It was a delightful spacious studio cottage, in a quiet location with views over the hills. The sounds of birds and sheep were prevalent. The wonderful host lives next door. Plenty of free safe parking. Nothing was too much trouble. She brings over a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Moffat is a charming little market town. I broke my journey to and from the Outer Hebrides here, and it complimented my whole holiday.
