What an absolute hidden gem! Spent the night with my partner for a little getaway. The night started with a lovely welcome and a trip straight to the private garden hot tub and sauna with the delicious house cocktails (you need to pre book it but, it's a definite must for couples). Watching the fog roll over the hills as the rain pattered around us while we were nice and toasty getting a jet massage was wonderfully tranquil. We then had a wonderful dinner and a drink in the bar before we retired for the evening. The food was absolutely exquisite as was the service. The rooms we traditional with a massive comfy bed, large shower, TV and beautiful views over the garden from the first floor. Best nights sleep I've had in a while. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast then had a massage that left me feeling indescribably good. A wonderful experience from the second we got there til the second we left. Felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be back.

We have just returned from a three night stay at Trigony House, and hope to be able to return soon. Wendy, Peter and their team work really hard to ensure their guests stay is as relaxing as it can be. The food is delicious, the rooms are spotless and the house is amazing. The bed in room 1 was so comfortable, and, even though it overlooks the car parking & front entrance area, the room was so quiet we slept very soundly. We will definitely stay again if we return to the area.

The breakfast was the best I have ever eaten. I have eaten many breakfasts, some of them in hotels much swankier and more expensive than this. This blew them all out of the park. From the home made granola with stiff organic yoghurt to the freshly baked bread with home made jam and the best marmalade I've tasted to the delicious full Scottish with unbelievably creamy scrambled eggs, I cannot praise this breakfast enough. I'm very sad that I was not able to finish it, just due to the generous quantities, as that meant I needed to stop eating it. There were lots of other good things too. There were yummy home baked biscuits in the room, and also a map of a walk you could do right from the hotel (which we did, and it was a good walk). The staff were friendly and attentive without being annoyingly persistent, which is a hard balance to strike. The hotel itself is beautiful, and there's a lovely lounge with squishy sofas to sit on. Our room was comfy and cosy. Dinner was also delicious. It was just great. Go stay.

The beautiful original windows are not very warm, so if you're there in the winter, bring a jumper for sitting and eating your dinner in as the dining room can be a tad chilly

This is a beautifully managed hotel with a lovely cared for garden, excellent food, very comfortable bedroom, attractive bar, and very dog friendly (including an ambitious dog menu for breakfast if you dare!). There is a lovely country walk direct from the hotel and easy to follow on the directions given and, if you have time, many near by local walks described in the area. This was a lovely hotel, quite close to the M74 and ideal for our stop over driving from the western highlands to southern England and worth staying here more than one night..

A beautiful country hotel. The service from Richard was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. If you are going on the basis of there being spa services I suggest to ring ahead before booking as very limited space for services and use of hot tub and sauna. We were unfortunately not able to make use as it was fully booked but we will definitely go back and plan ahead for spa services

A beautiful building with wonderful gardens. Dog friendly too. Amazing staff who will go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Dinner is highly recommended, and breakfast too! This is our second visit, we stayed in the Shepherds Hut this time. It was really well equipped, very comfortable bed, en suite, with a private garden area. We will be back.

Lovely setting. The gardens were fabulous. The hotel was beautifully decorated.Staff were great especially Dora who served us breakfast which was exceptional. Quiet & very peaceful. Lovely biscuits & plenty of coffee & tea options in the room. There is a hairdryer & toiletries provided.

Nothing apart from a fridge would have been useful in the room.

The hotel was excellent. All the staff were very friendly. The hostess was particularly welcoming and made us feel like family rather than paying guests. The food was excellent. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have had. You could taste the quality and freshness. We paid extra to use the hot tub and sauna. It was a very good and can recommend. Overall a great few days away.

The pretty old fashioned house with beautiful windows and lovely gardens. The superior twin room was very nice with a great outlook into the gardens. This was my treat for my daughters 30th celebrations and she had a great time.

There was only one problem, the shower in the lovely bathroom stopped half way through washing my hair.
