Nice country hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. Comfy room with nice view. Lovely area for fishing or walking. Close to quiet village

Room could have been cleaner. Strange 2 different dinner price options unnecessary.

There was nothing we disliked, Facilities, comfort, welcome. All not a problem. The communal area was very good and welcoming.

The hot water took what seemed like an age. The wi-fi was not reaching our room. Not an issue as I could use my phone to access the internet via my data allowance.

We booked the river suite which was a fantastic big space , including a good sized bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen. It had a lovely view over the river. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were clean and practical. Comfortable bed. Evening meal in the restaurant was fine.

TV reception poor. I didn't realize it had full self catering facilities and didn't need to book breakfast at £20 per head. Skirting boards, windows and some walls could do with a spring clean.

The location was exceptional and the three days we spent there were very affordable. Along the Ninth River, it was quiet and the sound of water flowing wa soothing (there was also an electrical hookup for EVs). We loved watching the sheep and lambs across the river. The surprise was the owner is an Italian chef! We arranged to eat dinner at the hotel on our first evening after a long trip, and then we ate every meal there for three days! Each time was delightful. He grows vegetables in his garden and greenhouse, and everything was perfectly prepared. We highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing... it was perfect for our needs.

We absolutely loved our night away. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was beautiful. We have stayed in many places but the cleanliness of this place was amazing! The cottage was spotless and was fitted with everything you would need. The staff are lovely, and everything is made so easy from check-in to check out. The location is gorgeous, with lovely walks surrounding the house that ourselves, the kids, and our dog enjoyed. We will be back.

What a beautiful location! We stayed in the Minister's Pool Lodge with a gorgeous view of the river. The kitchen was fully equipped, so we cooked ourselves. The leather couches and electric fireplace made for a cozy evening. We especially enjoyed the small library of books in the room. The shower was great and the bed very comfortable. Paolo, our host, was lovely.

Breakfast was good, but I would have liked something other than filter coffee.

We booked a cottage with two bedrooms, which was confirmed by hotel in an email. In arrival we were informed that party of four happened to booked it at exactly the same time! What a coincidence! It turned out the hotel had to give us each a double room in the main building. I believe we were bumped due to our numbers!

The food in this house hotel was on a different level. I ordered steak pieces. The consistency with the cooking was perfect. My pieces of steak were perfectly medium in every piece. A perfect portion size to enjoy the magnificent flavours. The Greek yougart dish for breakfast was in a league of its own and pieces of battered haggis with a petit drink that worked magnificently together. The food was 100% The fantastic, relaxed house hotel's pace was refreshing with metal sculptures in the well looked after gardens. Great location for visiting castles and other local attractions like the local museum. Perfect for a weekend escape. Highly recommend this establishment.

Had no WiFi to my knowledge available, yet it was great not relying on your phone to fill time. We enjoyed he relaxation even more and I read a few times.

The place is beautiful, old world charm but inside bang up to date in the cottage a lot has been spent on insulation as it was -6c outside and 21c inside with the boiler on economy. Nicely furnished and right next to a river a real gem we will be back

A really lovely river side lodge. We stayed just one night but wish it could have been longer! Tastefully decorated, large rooms, great shower and a very warm welcome. Didn't sample the restaurant but the menu looked amazing. Close to the Crawick Multiverse which looked incredible.
