The staff were excellent. We were staying for 1 night as we had a wedding reception at Lochside lodges. When I mentioned about getting a taxi the girl mentioned a courtesy bus as the Royal hotel was part of the RAD group. The girl then said she would make a phone call to see if the bus was available which it was. She booked this for us to be picked up from The Royal hotel and take us to the wedding reception. The staff at breakfast were also fab too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent customer service from start to finish.😀

We had black mold in our bathroom at the bath. A little more attention to detail by the cleaning team is all that is needed to stop this happening.

Booked an overnight to allow us to visit family at Xmas. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely. A great breakfast too. Will stay here again.

Limited parking and parking in the school grounds didn't seem safe/secure

Stayed at The Royal Hotel in Cumnock last night and had a fantastic experience. The room was absolutely spotless and surprisingly spacious – one of the largest we've stayed in! Everything was beautifully clean and comfortable, making for a really relaxing night. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, with great options and friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend The Royal to anyone visiting the area. --- Would you like a version tailored for Google or TripAdvisor?

Hotel was lovely , we stayed there as we had a wedding @ lochside hotel great so convenient .

When arrived & tried to book in the receptionist said , wait until I deal with these people , we were shoved aside until she attended to other guest , we sat down on a bench waiting to be attended ,then said you can’t check into 3.00pm, I replied no we can get our room from 2.00pm, got to our room looked lovely I went to check bathroom & there was still bits off poo remains in toilet not satisfied but didn’t complain just flushed the toilet,tried to get through to reception the to ask for another bath towel for my husband for showering no respond always engaged , the women when we booked in really wasn’t helpful ,but was for one overnight , so we just went with it but wouldn’t recommend lt for that .reason .

On arrival we were allocated a room on the top floor with many stairs. On informing the staff my wife isn't too good especially coming down stairs they without asking changed to a room on the 1st floor accessible by lift. The room we got was fantastic in every way very comfortable and spotless. Our breakfast was excellent with a good range of.choice. The staff were also very nice with nothing too much trouble for them. Overall terrific Value for Money.

Nothing not to like

The staff were lovely, the room was very comfortable and having the breakfast included made for great value. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice -the food was delicious.

We were in the back room, above the kitchen area. At 4am there was a lot of noise below which was slightly annoying. Next time we’d upgrade the room (we stayed before and didn’t have an issue with noise).

A very good hotel with friendly, helpful staff from check in to departure. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and a very good breakfast on the morning of departure. I didn't venture into Cumnock at all, so can't really comment on the town, but Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful area and well worth a visit. You could do a lot worse than staying at The Royal.

Nothing. Ticked all my boxes!

This was our first time in Scotland and we did not expect the beautiful treatment we received at Royal Hotel. The staff were so lovely, understanding, helpful, kind and friendly. They honestly made our stay so amazing, did everything to accommodate for a disabled guest and made it easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant interior was modern, beautiful and had a peaceful energy to it. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much to all staff, especially Rori and Lynsey. We’ll definitely be back.

A lovely hotel, everything was really good and comfortable, good facilities, good staff. Breakfast was awesome!

Having a smart TV that doesn't connect to Internet to login to streaming, very minor inconvenience in an otherwise great stay

Good location for to access to our function. Great room, clean and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast

Lift only to first floor, our room on second. No hand rails on bannisters or bannisters on short flights of stairs. Fire doors at top of stairs too close to first step, door almost catapulted me downstairs, which was funny but dangerous. Bathroom floor dangerous when exiting bath, put my foot out onto mat which slipped away causing me to almost do the splits across edge of Bath.
