Breakfast is great. Wee bit more choice for continental would make it spot on. Brilliant views and again- really welcoming and professional staff.
The bubble pool has been broken for forever. Should let that be known at booking. Pool is super - along with a wee steam room and sauna. Staff were so helpful and friendly.

great to have a freshly cooked breakfast and was perfect. Location was perfect a short walk to the centre of Ayr and a short walk to the beach. As per the room will make a comment in following section
my wife and myself booked an executive room with sea view, When we checked in we were given a key for the Churchill suite. On entering the room we realized this was not what we booked. The windows were frosted with no view and outside the window was all the machinery for the leisure pool and its fixtures. We went back to reception with our booking confirmation form. We told that booking.com had booked the suite and not what we booked. With noise coming from the machinery we never have been able to sleep. We were moved to another room with only partial sea view but the room was perfect apart from that. I have no idea how the mistake as made. As for the people at reception they could not have been more helpful.

Location is very good, with no through traffic. Our room was on the top floor, with a small attic window overlooking the sea - maybe a more restricted view than might be expected from an "executive" room, but not really an issue. Everything in the room was fine, except for the lack of anywhere in the bathroom to put anything down - a common problem in hotel bathrooms. Fortunately there was a lift, and presumably another one in the other wing. Breakfast was good, with a wide range of cooked and continental options and speedy service.
Service in the restaurant on the night we had dinner was very slow, apparently because of another group elsewhere in the hotel that was being prioritised. Drinks and one course took two hours, a warning for anyone needing to get away for e.g. a show. The meal itself was very good.

Had a lovely stay. Nice relaxed hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Hotel nice and central as well for the town.
Plastic cups in rooms including suite. But that's my only negative comment. Everything else perfect.

Friendliness and kindness of the staff. Dining room staff are exceptional. Domestic staff were very kind, exceptional attention to detail of room cleanliness nothing was too much trouble. There was a good choice of meals, breakfast was amazing especially the continental. We felt very comfortable and relaxed and felt at home. Loved the swimming pool and steam room. Perfect location, close to the beach, 5 minute walk over the grassy promenade.. Quiet location. Plenty of car parking spaces.
Having to leave. There were no issues at all. I will definitely return.

We found the staff really helpful and friendly.
We had booked the Executive room when we arrived we were sent to the annex which was not good, the guy then sent us to room 43 which is a disaster if you want a peaceful stay. After two nights stay of our four nights we were moved to the room we expected. Have to say the staff worked hard on getting us moved eventually on the other hand we lost two nights on the room we should have had which put a bit of a damper on our stay.

Room, breakfast staff all very good, comfortable, and I got a good B&B rate so very good value for money for the quality of the hotel. I liked that there was a leisure club with pool, gym, sauna, steam room.
The leisure club is a little down at heel and could do with some renovation, the jacuzzi was out of operation. I spoke to another regular user and he said they do have plans for renovation. There is a policy of not allowing water on the hot rocks of the sauna for safety reasons and this is not how a proper Finish sauna should work. I spoke to the leisure club staff and they said they had had a problem with people putting essential oils on it and so had put up signs not to put anything on it at all. I think this is extreme - 'small scoops of water only' could be better - and provide a bucket and ladle for that would have improved the sauna experience.

We had a great stay at Fairfield House Hotel. Our room was huge, immaculately clean and included a lovely roll top bath. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good night's sleep. To top things off we had a beautiful sea view to sit and admire. The restaurant had a varied menu some offers a lovely atmosphere and great service. Or evening meal and breakfast were both 10/10. Having leisure facilities was a nice little bonus to start our day. Staff were available helpful and friendly. We would definitely return and recommend others to visit. Note that the property doesn't have a lift so request a room on the ground floor if required if possible.

Excellent location along the sea front and within walking distance of the beach and town centre. Clean and smart public areas. Spacious and well-equipped sea view bedroom. Good selection at breakfast, with a clearly signposted and separate gf buffet table. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Just one example - we hadn’t had time to tidy up before going to a wedding at another venue, so we left up the Do not Disturb notice. Came back to find a bag with fresh towels and loo roll hanging on the door. Excellent service.

Hotel in some parts was in need of some TLC, paint touch up or carpet replacement but I assume there is an ongoing plan to refurbish as the bathroom was very new/ modern. Beds were comfy and room temperature was perfect. Food in the restaurant was delicious, good choice and reasonable price. The best biggest selling point in my opinion were the staff, all of them were well organised, helpful and very welcoming and pleasant. There is a leisure centre, with a small pool, small sauna (2 people) and steam room (5) towels provided.
