Seaview Suite # 202 "Tom Watson Suite" was classic. Beautiful sitting room with a perfect view of the iconic Royal Troon Golf Course and the sea. Very comfortable sectional sofa and a well stocked tea coffee biscuit type set up. The bedroom was also very comfortable, the bed was excellent, in room safe and several USB charging ports in addition to electrical outlets. Bathroom was nice buy a bit small, sink, toilet and walk in shower. Great towels and facecloths toiletries were good but a bit small in quantity for two guests. Breakfast was excellent, made to order plus a continental style buffet. Once again an incredible view from the Rabbit Restaurant while you have your morning coffee.
Perhaps a diffent method of dispensing toiletries, shower gel shampoo and conditioner.

Location is very nice & the staff are extremely professional The cocktails were very good and the pool table was a nice addition! Changing rooms at the spa are lovely, the complimentary robe and slippers come in handy! Aaron soaps across the entire are a lovely touch. Breakfast was superb!
The food in the rabbit is extremely over priced for what it was. We were very disappointed that the menu had changed two days before we stayed. It wasn't clear that we could have ordered of the seal menu. Had we know this we would have defiantly ordered from this menu. With the hotel being quite "rural" it would have been nice to have a more lively feel to the bar area. The music was very seldom, almost like hold music. A more upbeat atmosphere would have been good. The pool are & wellbeing facilites are ok but they felt extremely dated.

A warm welcome greeted us and we were swiftly shown to our room and able to make use of the Spa with the complimentary robes. The Spa staff were attentive and the Pre-booked Massages were great. Spa was in good order and the views were great. The bar had a nice atmosphere and food (light snacks) was ok. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of Continental and a range of hot food to order.
The Shower in room 120 was poorly designed to the point that whatever you tried, water would pour out onto the floor. I am sure this is the same design in many rooms Annoying but not deal breaking. We didnt get a chance to try the menu, but did order a light bite nachos with prawns while having a drink, the prawns were just barely cooked, and the other ingredients were fairly 'cheap' and basic for the price charged. These were small niggles in an otherwise lovely stay.

I requested a quiet room with a seaview as I was visiting to relax and gather my thoughts after the sudden death of my beloved mother and needed a quiet break after sorting the arrangements for her upcoming funeral this Friday. My room was huge with fantastic views from every window and there were 4 windows!! Everywhere is spotless. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The gym and spa are fully equipped and also kept very clean. I enjoyed a final visit to the spa on checkout day. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and there were plenty of choices 😋 Good long beach walks, fresh sea air, good food, and spa are so much healthier than medication any day. Thank you. 💯 what I needed.
I did not like having to leave after 2 nights stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more pleasant. The room was very comfortable,it had everything you need. The bar and restaurant were both lovely and inviting. We ate in both on our 2 night stay, food and service was impeccable. The staff were definitely a highlight- they are doing a fantastic job. We will definitely be back.
Nothing. Even the wind and rain couldn't stop us from having the best time.

The decor was beautiful and tasteful. The atmosphere comfortable and relaxed …the bar area had a mixture of seats but I felt if the pool table was not centre focus a few more seats could have been placed by the window to allow more people to enjoy the sea view . The food delicious and good value the wine exceptional and very friendly pleasant professional staff.
If the restaurant offered the same menu as the dining room then we would have reserved a table there. I only like 1 course and the sweets were huge portions .. we felt unable to go for a walk before tea in order to have a table .

The friendliness of the staff. Very relaxing environment, great walks around the area of the hotel. Pool and gym are good. Service was excellent, from reception, porters, bar and restraunt. Great hotel for dogs, they are made to feel welcome. Room 106 a superior double had amazing views over the golf course and sea to snow capped Isle of Arran.
The small bar/ lounge area got busy at peak times, menu could offer more bar type food/ snacks, cakes for coffee. Breakfast was lovely but a buffet would have been better. Would be good to have a lounge area to sit and chill out or read. For such a huge hotel there are only two rooms you can go to, the restraunt or the bar. Maybe utilise other function rooms in the hotel to offer more places to relax.

Location is great. It has a nice old world charm to it. All the staff are friendly and polite. The rooms are decorated nicely, to a high standard. The breakfast was good - but severely lacking in vegan options. Again, no fault of the staff who were very attentive. The hotel's big plus points are the location, the building and most of all the staff.
The spa staff were excellent - like over and above good. Really friendly and professional and brilliant at their jobs, but they are working in quite a tired and over subscribed pool and gym area that doesn't feel in keeping in with standards the hotel aims for. Also, small point, but the kettle and all the teas and coffees and kettle were hidden away in a cupboard. If there is a world that is ashamed of their kettles or hasn't planned where to have them, it's a world I want no part of.

The room was beautiful with a superb view. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly yet professional - a good balance between friendly and fun, and competent. My daughter and I had a small dog with us and it was very well catered for except at breakfast. Good range of amenities available, however, I didn't notice any cards or board games. Maybe one more public room for such activities or just reading - no food or drinks in it?
In the room, we couldn't open a window. The wardrobe area was a bit dark and awkward to use. More actual working drawers would have been helpful. The food was good overall and we ate in the hotel but a it was bit limited. We ate in the Seal room/bar on account of the dog - nobody told us we could order from the Rabbit room menu and eat it in the bar till our last night. That could be made clearer. Breakfast was fine and I expect you've hugely reduced food wastage, but I expected better. The dishes reminded me of Japan where the same presentation of each plate is important. I think Scottish produce could be increased. Overuse of sourdough and peashoots!

very friendly and helpful without being intrusive staff. Even the young lad waiters who seemed relatively new had a lovely open friendly and polite manner. room very comfortable and everything as required. Spa was lovely and didn't know there was a squash - great to see and will definitely use next time. bar area pleasant to relax in and surroundings very beautiful (we hit lucky with the sunshine too).
breakfast could have been improved. It was OK but nothing special and was hoping for eg haddock or kippers in the morning etc we played golf while visiting but had to go to a nearby golf club as a bit too expensive for us at the hotel - we perhaps need to look at golf inclusive deals next time
