It would be crazy not to start a review about Marine Troon with anything but the staff. From the bar and restaurant staff to Cameron who will help out with baggage and just about anything else to Jaclyn who made our stay extra special, every single member of the team is an absolute credit to the hotel. The team really make this hotel. The decor is absolutely gorgeous. Eclectic, luxurious and full of personality. And the views from the hotel are just something else. Great views of the course if that’s your bag but the view out to Arran and Ailsa Craig are just stunning. We enjoyed food in both The Seal and The Rabbit. The food was fantastic and the service top notch. Breakfast was another 10/10 with a great selection on the continental front and extremely generous portions on the cooked to order. I’m remiss to mention it in this review but I genuinely believe how problems are dealt with speaks volumes. We had an issue at the start of our stay but as soon as Jaclyn found out, she sprang into action and did everything she could to get our break back on track which she succeeded to do and then some! Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Marine Troon and we left feeling refreshed, relaxed and extremely grateful. We can’t wait to come back!

We stay at this hotel a lot and the staff are wonderful - they truly go above and beyond to ensure you have the best time and are so friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately,on this last trip there was an issue with the hotel lift which led to us having to cut our visit short as mum is disabled and has to have access to the lift. However , Blair and Cameron, two amazing staff members, came to our rescue, did everything to help while ensuring mum was safe and most of all not embarrassed at the situation. Blair handled our booking perfectly, so much so, we are looking to go back in the next 4-6 weeks.

We thought that the restaurant where we had breakfast was beautifully presented. The manager there was very friendly and attentive; she could not have been more helpful. Thank you, you added a lot of value to the experience. The smoked salmon and sourdough with lemon was excellent and when I asked if I could have some scrambled eggs with it they provided some, and my breakfast was amazing. We loved the preparation that went into the Champagne display and 'cart' outside...what a lovely idea! We appreciate the Marine Hotels being dog-friendly...thank you!

My partner had the full Scottish breakfast. There was an ample amount, however, it was not flavoursome and she left most of it! Perhaps the produce used could be better or it was an off day! Sadly, it did not meet her expectation as she was really looking forward to it. There were some plants in the breakfast area but these additional ones make it look messy! We'd suggest removing them (less is more).

Seaview Suite # 202 "Tom Watson Suite" was classic. Beautiful sitting room with a perfect view of the iconic Royal Troon Golf Course and the sea. Very comfortable sectional sofa and a well stocked tea coffee biscuit type set up. The bedroom was also very comfortable, the bed was excellent, in room safe and several USB charging ports in addition to electrical outlets. Bathroom was nice buy a bit small, sink, toilet and walk in shower. Great towels and facecloths toiletries were good but a bit small in quantity for two guests. Breakfast was excellent, made to order plus a continental style buffet. Once again an incredible view from the Rabbit Restaurant while you have your morning coffee.

Perhaps a diffent method of dispensing toiletries, shower gel shampoo and conditioner.

Location is very nice & the staff are extremely professional The cocktails were very good and the pool table was a nice addition! Changing rooms at the spa are lovely, the complimentary robe and slippers come in handy! Aaron soaps across the entire are a lovely touch. Breakfast was superb!

The food in the rabbit is extremely over priced for what it was. We were very disappointed that the menu had changed two days before we stayed. It wasn't clear that we could have ordered of the seal menu. Had we know this we would have defiantly ordered from this menu. With the hotel being quite "rural" it would have been nice to have a more lively feel to the bar area. The music was very seldom, almost like hold music. A more upbeat atmosphere would have been good. The pool are & wellbeing facilites are ok but they felt extremely dated.

A warm welcome greeted us and we were swiftly shown to our room and able to make use of the Spa with the complimentary robes. The Spa staff were attentive and the Pre-booked Massages were great. Spa was in good order and the views were great. The bar had a nice atmosphere and food (light snacks) was ok. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of Continental and a range of hot food to order.

The Shower in room 120 was poorly designed to the point that whatever you tried, water would pour out onto the floor. I am sure this is the same design in many rooms Annoying but not deal breaking. We didnt get a chance to try the menu, but did order a light bite nachos with prawns while having a drink, the prawns were just barely cooked, and the other ingredients were fairly 'cheap' and basic for the price charged. These were small niggles in an otherwise lovely stay.

Location & staff were extremely friendly & accommodating. Room was good although furniture a little dated. Good pool & Spa facilities.

The breakfast selection was good & hot items served at table but were overcooked as if they had been precooked & left in the oven. Dinner was better with freshly cooked meals. Service at bar & restaurant was good. £35 per night for pets is a little steep considering we stayed two nights when compared to Holiday Inn which charges £15 per night for exactly same facilities for pets.

I requested a quiet room with a seaview as I was visiting to relax and gather my thoughts after the sudden death of my beloved mother and needed a quiet break after sorting the arrangements for her upcoming funeral this Friday. My room was huge with fantastic views from every window and there were 4 windows!! Everywhere is spotless. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The gym and spa are fully equipped and also kept very clean. I enjoyed a final visit to the spa on checkout day. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and there were plenty of choices 😋 Good long beach walks, fresh sea air, good food, and spa are so much healthier than medication any day. Thank you. 💯 what I needed.

I did not like having to leave after 2 nights stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more pleasant. The room was very comfortable,it had everything you need. The bar and restaurant were both lovely and inviting. We ate in both on our 2 night stay, food and service was impeccable. The staff were definitely a highlight- they are doing a fantastic job. We will definitely be back.

Nothing. Even the wind and rain couldn't stop us from having the best time.
