My partner and I had a lovely stay at the Lochside hotel. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous with swans on the loch and cherry blossoms by a pond and a fountain. All the staff were lovely, breakfast and dinner were great and I had the most delicious chocolate fudge cake I’ve had in my life 🤤 The spa facilities were also nice, only thing is that it would’ve been good to have a different locker system cause we both forgot the codes for our lockers and had to ask for help to unlock (which they were absolutely fine with and says happens all the time) 😂 But honestly that doesn’t take away anything from the experience at all. We loved our stay here and would love to come back sometime.

Lovely big room with opening French windows. Food and restaurant was excellent. Staff were very pleasant and friendly especially those in the restaurant area.

Shower screen could have been cleaner along the bottom where the plastic was. Bedside lights didn’t seem to work separately, both had to be on or both off. Hole in wall under the wash basin. Fire alarm went off, then stopped. We responded and when we saw a member of staff she was rather curt and said oh, it was just a test! But there had been no warning of a test.

Not what I imagined as a Family Executive Room that I booked. I booked this as travelling with a friend from work and required a twin room. On arrival I was given a small room with a double bed. This was changed for an equally small room with another double room and a sofa bed. Staff did separate double bed into twin later but not much room really for the sofa and not what I imagined my Executive Family room would look like.

The staff in the bar and restaurant were really friendly, professional and accommodating. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The spa was lovely and the rooms were clean and decorated to a high standard.

Tetley tea bags in the room!!!! Terrible teabags for such a luxury hotel! The room and hotel was way too hot and there was no way to put some cool air on through air con or anything! We struggled to have hot showers because we were so clammy with the heat of the room and hotel in general!

It was handy for Dumfries House which we had been visiting. The room was spacious and quiet and the gardens were beautiful and well tended. The views of the loch were stunning. The staff were welcoming and the food lovely.

Great location, golf course next door. Ladies enjoyed pamper day. Food excellent. Alcohol free beer and cider available.

Standard room does not get a view. Instead you are looking out at ventilation units on lower roof. Floors in the bedrooms creak when walked upon very loudly. I was woken several times as I thought someone had come into the room during the night when neighbouring bedroom occupants went to bathroom. Not good at all.

Stunning location, lovely modern hotel with lots of character, comfortable room, great thermaspa - fab restaurant & cocktails

Would have liked a mini fridge & proper glasses & more milk in the room.

Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. They were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. All of the staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Breakfast and dinner excellent staff were very helpful and friendly very good service all round and the scenery was beautiful

Not having to pay an extra 10pds per person because you wanted to use it at later times at the spa
