The location was excellent, a short walking distance to the town centre. A nice quiet location, parking was great and a provided parking permit was a very nice touch. Linda was really lovely, friendly and welcoming and provided a great source of information on the town of Ayr. She was very thorough on the services provided at the guest house and was always available for her service as a host. We loved to be able to meet her dogs, after asking to see them, who were very well behaved and we felt more like friends than guests. We also liked the feeling of freedom to come and go as we pleased, which made it feel relaxing and comfortable. We were there to sleep in and relax after many days of travel, driving and business in Edinburgh and Glasgow and needed a reprieve, which we achieved.

Linda was very welcoming and the room we had very comfortable. I had asked I believe for twin beds and on the first stay we were given a very large double. This was not a problem and for our second stay we had a room with twin beds The location is ideal for a coastal walk and access to the town centre and many restaurants. Lots of useful information . about the area was provided. The breakfast was excellent. Would certainly stay there again

Linda was so friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, spotless, and well equipped for our stay. There was everything in the room. WiFi, iron and iron board, hairdryer, fridge, kettle, and an excellent tea and coffee tray. The on suit was huge with shower cubicle and also a bath, plenty towels and shampoo, shower gel. It was a last-minute decision, or we would have stayed longer.

Can't fault a thing, it was perfect in every way.

Linda a perfect hostess. A lovely house with a great room with ensuite. Coffee facilities. Beds very comfy in this very airy large room. Family room with TV and WiFi too. Great full breakfast or lots of different choices served to order.Very central for variety of eateries Marcos brilliant Fish and chipshop 5mins walk. Bars and restaurants 5 to 10mins walk when shortcuts found. Free parking and best of all 2 minutes from beach walk.

Not anything really to complain about everything was there

The location close to the beach was great for a walk before breakfast. It was also close to the town centre, and in a nice area of older houses. My room was large and bright, and the en-suite had a bath, which I love. Breakfast was enough to keep me going most of the day. Price was very reasonable. There are excellent restaurants for evening meals nearby. Linda was friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at the Daviot Guest House in Ayr. The location was excellant... 5 mins from the prominade in a gorgeous Victorian street. The place was extremely clean... great en suite toilet and shower... really comfortable and relaxing room... and home made tablet waiting for us to sample when we arrived... yummy. Thank you Linda. Next time we are in Ayr we hope to stay again. Highly recommended. Nige x

Handy for beach , restaurants, and shops Linda was an excellent host, freindly and very helpful . and felt very welcome ,,and safe Here .As was on my own with my wee dog,, had a great sleep , bed was comfy . Room was very clean . Lovely hand wash and shower gel clean towels , And had tea and coffe , even had lovely biscuits , Had a great stay ,Will definitely be back

It was a really comfortable and friendly guest house not far from the beach. The room was clean and comfortable and we had our own large bathroom. Breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. Dogs are also welcome, and there are two lovely resident dogs We highly recommend Daviot House for a great holiday in Ayr.

It was so easy to get access to book in got a message to confirm rough time of arrival and key safe number to get keys and a parking permit on our arrival. So easy and hassle free.

Thete wasn't anything I didn't like anout the daviot guest house. Spotlessly clean spacious and great value for money. The location is very central to bars and restaurants.

great stay and value. owner was lovely and very organised. Amazing breakfast. Teas and coffees already available in room. Owner provided information leaflets including restaurants and maps! clean. Homely vibe.
