The rooms and shared facilities were well-appointed and the decor was very much to our liking, especially the bathrooms. The facilities are modern but retain a cosy and comfortable feel. Our hosts made our large family group (7 adults, 1 x 2yo and 1 x infant) feel very welcome and we immediately felt very comfortable. We arrived later than we originally advised and without dinner, so our hosts arranged a late-notice dinner booking at a nearby restaurant.

The only minor items that we would fault - as we do with almost all accommodation houses these days - is a shortage of towel hooks/rails in the bathroom and down-filled pillows that were too soft for our liking (but we didn’t ask for alternatives).

A lovely conversion of the old station and new expanse of new buildings. Everything was as new, clean and tidy. The layout was good and the little extras such as tea, coffee etc and shampoo and conditioner. We rang earlier as we had an electric car and found that there was a 7.3Kw charger there too Alan is a great host and was keen to help with everything, even supplying a small welcoming tipple for us. Apart from our room there was a lovely lounge with a large TV too. A very comfy bed and a good night was followed by an excellent breakfast of our choice, the poached eggs were perfect. a great stay and we would go back again.

the Station House is a little isolated, no pub or restaurant within walking distance, but if you know, you can plan ahead like we did.

Very warm welcome from Alan, rooms were lovely, good sized bathroom with large shower, very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients and served with a smile! Not to mention the beautiful peaceful surroundings! Would have no hestitation to book here for future stays. Thank you Alan!

I honestly do not believe there was anything to dislike, Alan informed me that further accommodation has been added to the property as well as hot tub facilities due to open in the near future, this can only add to an already great stay.

Was made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and appreciated the time Alan took with us as we checked in being very informative about the property and the surrounding area. B&B has many different types of rooms/lodges and all have been done to a very high spec and the room we stayed in was immaculately clean and had everything we needed with many nice homely touches. Was greeted by both Alan and Avril for breakfast where i thoroughly enjoyed my full Scottish breakfast and again was very well looked after by both.

Nothing, Could not find any thoughts. In fact the only thing i did not like was that we were unable to spend more time at the Station House B&B.

We were greeted by Alan the owner who was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and the bedroom was very nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. The shower cubicle is the largest I have seen in a hotel and the bath towels were fluffy and huge. We were told to use the sitting room and Alan kept the log burner well stocked. Breakast was good and Alan chatted to us whilst he was cooking it. Highly recommend.

There is nothing to dislike.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by Avril and Alan who were very friendly and showed us to our room and took our breakfast order for the next day. Beds were comfortable with a good amount of pillows and beautiful clean bedding. Shower room was clean and well stocked with towels, shower gel and shampoo there was also shower caps and some bathroom disposal items (cotton pads etc) available if needed. The room we stayed in was lovely and big could fit 4-6 people depending on ages of children.Would definitely recommend and would return and stay again if I was visiting the area for an overnight again. Breakfast was delicious and pre ordered. Good selection of non cooked items also with fresh fruit available. Ample parking for the size of the accommodation in a very lovely rural spot.

Breakfast was really good and the owner was really friendly and helpful. We brought our one-year-old with us and they were very accomodating and had cutlery, a high chair and breakfast things for the baby. The bedroom was big enough to fit a travel cot (we brought our own though one was also provided if we needed it).

Fabulous hosts, food, cleanliness, quality of environment, location, decoration and parking. A and A just cannot do enough for you, this is how every hotel, guest house or bed and breakfast should be run! Loved the proximity to M74! Homely environment, peaceful and quiet, great night’s sleep, a very, very comfortable bed. A gold star environment in every way!

We loved everything and will return! Hosting was tremendous, very friendly and helpful. A quality establishment, in a quality environment. Plenty activities, sight seeing, shops and history in the area!

Our host did individual orders for each of our party of seven, with all the elements of a full Scots breakfast plus yogurts, cereal, etc. He also gave super recommendations for restaurants, trips and hikes. Our party included we older people plus 4 in their twenties and he related well to each of us. He went above and beyond in letting us use his kitchen...not in the normal options. As others came, Alan gave each the same level of attention and service. The renovation they have dine is tasteful and amazing.

Breakfast cooked according to my tastes, and with generous portions. Mine hosts delivered all that I asked for and with repeat servings of hot coffee and toast. And all served with good humour and courtesy.

All was to my expectations.
