Scott was a fantastic host and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and always checking if we needed anything. Rooms were a little dated but very clean and warm. Clean bedding and towels with plenty of in-room tea/coffee etc. Very quiet and restful and waking up to a delicious cooked breakfast served piping hot and no waiting. Plenty of fresh juices, cereals and even Scott made up a proper Scottish porridge for us. Quality of the breakfast was spot on. No issues at all A++++

A little remote from the town and the neighbouring farm has a couple of dogs that can be heard now and then but only if you have the window open.

We liked the breakfast choices. We put our order in the night before and it was cooked to perfection.

This is us being picky but the bedsheet was a little bit small and kept having to be remade each morning. When you enter the main front door there was a little bit of an oil/breakfast smell. If you put a couple of plug in air fresheners in this would get rid of it. But the host was extremely welcoming, helpful and we would definitely stay again.

I didn't really eat breakfast because my family live close to the guest house but menu had everything you could want...from full Scottish till cereal yougart juice toast jam ect....there was everything you could want and very homely...Scott is a lovely Scottish guy .

There is nothing I didn't like it's exceptional value for money if your looking for a clean and comfortable bed a good TV and a great breakfast (although I didn't eat it cause my family are so close) it's very good value.

I only stayed one night but the host was friendly and their place was lovely with such a nice view from my bedroom window. The room itself was nice and bathroom clean with great shower. Always love to have fresh milk offered and hot chocolate and nice biscuits are a bonus. The young ladies helping with breakfast were nice and there was a good choice of food available. My dogs were welcome here which is why I picked it and just opposite the house is a nice area to walk them. I would recommend this place to others.

The breakfast had many options to choose from, there was plenty of food, some mornings too much. Scott was a wonderful host. The location was half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh . We mainly used local buses and trains to get to the cities.

Maybe having brewed coffee available throughout the late afternoon. Renting a car might have been a good idea, but driving on the left side may have been a challenge.

I loved that the property was like a home away from home. It was warm and welcoming. Scott was so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much bother. I was visiting my mum who is in hospital and added on an extra 2 nights. I loved that in the room you get a proper mug for coffee and you can just help yourself to fresh milk. I hate the wee plastic milks so this was great. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was delicious. Thanks so much for a great stay and will defo recommend. Kirsty Room 5

This was one of the best places we stayed in Scotland, mostly due to the welcoming host and the many toys we found for our son in the shared lounge. Scott the host gave us a lot of tips for dinner, however we ended up ordering in due to the aforementioned toys. We were able to eat in the lounge which was great. We also got tips on where and what to order for takeout. Comfortable beds, quiet location, nice breakfast. Highly recommended!

Great Guest House. Couldnt fault it in any way. Host was great, nothing was any trouble for him to sort if you had any requests. Very large room with great facilities. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. Great location with several shops and eating places within 5/10 mins drive. Cant wait to be back on our next visit to the area.

I dont think anything could have been better.

Great sized twin room, warm and comfortable. Good selection of hot drinks to make. Lovely bathroom with good shower. There is a large lounge area for visitors to use. Very accommodating with breakfast as had to leave early, made me and others bacon butties to go. 😊

Only downside was parking so close to the main road which I had to cross to exercise the dogs. Once over the road there was an excellent walk along a disused railway. Pillow on bed was a little too firm for my liking.

The breakfast was greatly assorted and delicious. The area was really peaceful, even being near a road. Bed was comfortable and room cozy. Bathroom was spot clean. Don't miss the fabric trophy on the corridor -- so adorable!

Bathroom space for my own stuff: more hanger hooks in the bathroom could be practical. And a shelf too.
