The rooms were roomy and the bathrooms had separate baths and showers. The staff were lovely and the breakfast and meal offerings were next level. The fruit in the rooms was much appreciated. The grounds and surroundings allowed for lovely relaxing walks. It was nice to be able to take a train from Blantyre into Glasgow but return back to a calming and peaceful environment.

Laundry facilities would have been useful though I appreciate that might not go with the style of the accommodation. Also the GBP5 per head charge for the restaurant entertainment should be made clear in some way.

A newly refurbished hotel which had only been opened a few weeks. The furnishings and the hotel were exceptional and the staff were so lovely

to be honest I thought that we had booked to stay in the castle, but in fact we stayed in another building, it looks like no one stays in the castle anymore, it is just for functions/ weddings. Although the building we stayed in was lovely, - it is very misleading to show pics of a castle on booking.com when you are only sharing the car park with the castle. If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked to be honest. We really booked to stay in the castle.

Great style and design . Service generally good . On arrival Lauren was exceptionally good . Bedroom great . Food quality in Trocadero’s exceptional. We have been coming to Glasgow for 7 years and eaten everywhere and we. Would say the food is the best in Glasgow .

Wouldn’t say anything was bad . Room for improvement with cooked breakfast , a bit rushed and bacon quality and flavour of eggs needs work . Also coffee quality ( filter) not great and not hot enough . Also , I think the show needs work I just feel it is a bit flat , needs a few characters to liven things up . The musicality of the band is great , but it’s all about reading the room and getting the right playlist . Also , the dancers need to only appear once the room is full , no point dancing if the restaurant is empty as a bit cringey . The dancers were great and engaged really well , but perhaps the routines are a bit dated .

The Crossbasket castle/hotel was absolutely beautiful! The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was stunning. We were delighted to find a lovely fresh fruit platter and delicious chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quite large. I can't say enough about the breakfast which was included with our stay. We were greeted with an extensive menu which was cooked to order as well as a nice selection of fruit, pastries and delicious coffee. The staff arranged for taxi service which I felt was reasonable. However, be warned that the return taxi fee will be double. Therefore, I would recommend uber which is significantly less expensive. We had an absolutely delightful stay! Our only regret was not staying longer!!!

absolutely nothing! Our stay was perfect:-) We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and as previously mentioned, wish we could have stayed longer!

Location of the property is a bit remote from the city, but I actually I enjoyed that. It was in the country and very relaxing, but the room and staff were amazing. The restaurant was great but what really made the place was the staff so very kind and helpful and great multitasking . When we ate in the restaurants, they remembered our room number and our name as well as our preferences for meals, they were in the process of building a spa so there’s not a lot to do there at the moment, but it’s just nice to disconnect and enjoy the serenity of the property. There is a museum of real life nearby within 10-15 minutes, which is great for Family very peaceful and the room touches were amazing. They left you a bowl of fruit chocolates and a nice selection in the mini bar and coffee and tea selections. Was on the road for some time traveling so it was very restorative too stay at the facility for a few days if in the area would definitely visit again and actually a great value for what you’re getting. Also, they had formal tea in the castle, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Lack of activities no spa services yet, no gym

The Crossbasket has several rooms in the castle as well as the adjacent hotel (like almost a 30 second walk to the castle if you wish to see it). We were hoping to get a room in the castle but ended up getting a room in the hotel, which was actually also totally worth it. The rooms are decorated in art deco style and feel classy and well furnished. You will feel like you are in a five star hotel. Highly recommend the breakfast if possible, such a wonderful experience.

If you wish to stay in the castle, be sure to book a room explicitly saying so. Still, the hotel was no downgrade by any means.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Crossbasket Castle and were truly impressed, especially following the recent renovations. As frequent visitors seasonal events like Easter and Christmas with our children, we were excited to finally experience an overnight stay and it was lovely!! The newly refurbished rooms are elegantly decorated with luxurious modern touches. We dined at Trocadero’s, and it was a highlight of our visit. The mix of live jazz music and fab food created the best evening. Even if you’re not planning an overnight stay, this is a dining experience well worth trying. As locals living just ten minutes away, we’ll definitely be returning. Throughout our stay, the staff were welcoming and professional, contributing to a relaxing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Crossbasket and look forward to our next visit.

Nothing to say here.

Absolutely loved our stay!! We treated ourselves to a suite in the castle and it was absolutely stunning!!! My daughter said she felt like a princess! It was just gorgeous! Extremely spacious, well-appointed, and the bed was so comfortable! The staff, especially the night Porter, were all so friendly and accommodating. Dinner at Trocadero's restaurant on site was wonderful...food and service were amazing, and the live music was great! We had an amazing stay and just wish we had more time to spend there. Will definitely make it a longer visit the next time!

We loved everything about our stay. We have absolutely no complaints!!

OMG it was superb! What a slice of paradise! We stayed in the new part only open for the last 12 weeks and it still smelled new. What a beautiful property with pretty, extremely well manicured gardens. Immaculately clean. So comfortable and super accommodating (we asked to stay another night the day we arrived and that was no issue)! Amazing facilities including complimentary sparkling water and fruit. Restaurant had top notch food and there was a show to top it all off. Staff couldn’t do enough for us! We will be back!!

There’s absolutely nothing to dislike about this amazing place!! It wasn’t cheap but a slice of luxury well worth the price! Thank you!

Staff were very helpful, courteous and professional throughout the venue. Hotel was fabulous in terms of layout, room decor, facilities and cleanliness. Breakfast was very good with local produce and creativity shown on the menu.

The evening meal had high expectations with being under the name of legendary Chef, Michel Roux, but in comparison to other high end dining establishments, it was of no comparison in terms of value for money. The food was of quality standard but lacked the finesse in terms of presentation and customer satisfaction.
