Great location and easy to find On our way up to the Scottish Highlands. We were able to take our dog into the hotel .. ! Excellent

Staff were amazing especially the manager on duty. Very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was superb. Room was clean and fresh. Perfect for a stop over on a long haul journey which is what we were doing. We are planning back again for a fishing trip and a longer stay. :) Lovely cleaner on duty at breakfast who did an amazing job. :)

Couldn't have a travel cot and the sofabed down at the same time meaning my son would have had to sleep on the sofabed as a sofa and barely fit. This was for fire safety regulations which is understandable and he still had a great time. Lift was out of order but staff offered to take bags up the stairs for us and help with the pram. Once again staff went above and beyond. :)

Bed comfortable room clean and good size. Clever bathroom made use of space with door that closed room or toilet compartment. Breakfast was standard for this type of hotel - ok , but nothing to rave about. Location was convenient for visiting Hamilton, Motherwell or the Clyde Valley. The location on the edge of Strathclyde Park helped you forget it was off a large motorway roundabout.

The hotel is located off a large multi exit rounabout with rather confusing signs. This was not the hotel's fault. The bar menu was limited although there is a Toby Carvery next door.

Reception staff first class, room was lovely, great bed very clean. Breakfast was disappointing. Asked if any allergies which I have, could not give a separate GF breakfast, they did have gf bread. I am always very wary of any breakfast laid out and people help themselves. As not all educated in using different serving spoons. If I went again I would not bother paying for breakfast as I did not have anything

Breakfast, most hotels provide a gf breakfast. I was advised no- therefore did not have one. No gf cereal - if they can supply gf bread then why not provide a gf breakfast. This is not a fad diet I become quiet I’ll if I have glutton.

It's advertised in the rooms and the toilets that if you require any items like a toothbrush combe, female sanity products etc these are available upon request. This is definitely not the case as we asked for a hair combe and none was available, and then my wife needed some sanitary products, but again, they were not available. The girl she asked was more than helpful and gave her one of her personal products from her bag.. don't advertise a service if you can not fulfill

Been on several occasions , always an enjoyable stay. We use it to take the grandchildren to M&D for a couple of days, it's ideal for this. Staff always genuinely pleasant and make sure everything ok, especially on this visit. Special shout for Alex at reception who was pleasantly down to earth in his treatment of us. He always had a genuinely pleasant approach. Hope he's still there next time we visit.Breakfast staff keep the area spotless.

Nothing we found fault with. Some people criticising forget it's a business hotel, meant for one or two nights quick stay, and not a holiday 5 star hotel, and for this reason it's perfect.

All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Alex he went above and beyond to accommodate us when I had a panic that my daughter’s wheelchair wouldn’t fit in the lift! Nothing was a bother and we were moved within minutes! He also took the time to explain all about the accessible rooms they have available! He even knew who I was when I checked in (by notes I had put in the comments on my booking) it just made it feel that little bit more personal!

The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was while at breakfast one morning I had left my daughter at the table and when I came back there was a young lad sitting in the corner and I can only describe him as “being on a coke down from drugs) he was quite intimidating, so the next morning we went over to Toby’s for breakfast instead

Really clean room and lovely bathroom with everything that you need. Comfy beds. Warm. Hairdryer available and teas and coffees. For the price, I don't think that you can beat this hotel with its location for travellers right on the motorway. Noise at night was minimal and we got a good sleep to travel onwards. The breakfast was also very good value with plenty of mainstream choices. Limited for specialist diet e.g. no oat/soya milk.

The evening meal was a disappointment and we really should have gone across the car park to the other restaurant. The curry was just bland and I had lots of hard chips that I didn't eat. This was a great shame as overall this hotel was good in all other respects and the staff were lovely. The chicken burger was much better. With the pull out bed the room was very small but we were grateful for a place for our daughter to sleep and it was comfy.

I have stayed here regularly over the last few years. It has proven to be a consistently good place to stay. Staff have always been pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. The lake is a great place to walk and it is ideal if you are travelling by car - 2 mins from the motorway with easy access to Glasgow, Edinburgh, the airports and both coasts.

It can get rowdy when there is a big match on in the city, as was the case with our last visit.

The Holiday Inn was very clean and the room was well designed and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is next to Strathclyde Country Park and has lovely walks around the loch from the hotel door. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet. The food was hot and plentiful. Tables were cleaned quickly and the breakfast staff recommended the train (station 5 min) as the easiest way to get to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
