The location was good for my away stay, my room was clean and comfortable for the solo traveller, my bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep, it was a good sized bedroom and en suite, good shower with soap and towels provided, The room had the standerd tea and coffee tray. I collected my room key from the restaurant directly across the road and it was the perfect place for a meal also.

My bed was comfortable but it could do with a new mattress and bed base and the tv signal was poor.

The room was spacious and comfortable, similarly the bathroom. The accommodation was above a pub called The Bay Horse but we needed to call at a restaurant called Spice opposite to register and pick up the keys. Once we had worked that out it was straightforward. We were able to leave the keys in the door in the morning which was convenient. Parking was available behind the Spice restaurant.

The pub is located along a dual carriageway in Hamilton and therefore there was quite a lot of noise from the traffic. However, we closed the windows for the night and were able to sleep in reasonable comfort.

The room was clean , and had everything I needed for a 1 night's stay. We had an Indian meal at the restaurant across the road(all one owner, but different businesses : the Bay Horse, Spice Restaurant, and the rooms ) and were given a 10% discount. The food was really good, the best I've had for years. The Bay Horse was a nice pub, and the bar man was very helpful

The Bay Horse had karaoke night that finished at 1am , although we heard the singing, etc. we already knew what we were in for due to the information on the site. After all, you get what you pay for.!!! We were quite happy really.

Everything about the room was great. They are above the pub which looks a bit shabby from the outside but inside is tidy, well run and the locals are really friendly. For anyone going to the horseracing this place is perfect!! Recommend!! Good value!! Also, bus stops to the town centre and stations outside, brilliant!!

Having read some of the reviews, I was a little worried after I booked it! I shouldn't have been! It was ideal for work, as it was only 1/2 mile to travel. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water. There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk for my 3 night stay. Yes it is on a dual carraigeway but it is is a 30mph road . I never had a problem crossing the road. If you are unsure or have children, the crossing is about 100metres away, not 1/2 mile as someone said in their review! The noise from the road is very minimal! I slept with the window open and never had a problem. The noise from the pub, well I can't comment on that as I heard nothing! (But my stay was mid week) Overall, very pleased with my stay and would not hesitate to stay there again if working nearby.

My only gripe is the room was a bit small and a chair and desk would have been good. Also, if I'm being really picky, a lick of paint would be nice.

I was so glad to find a clean, comfortable room at a cheap price within easy reach of public transport and restaurants. When I am travelling alone I do not care about fancy furnishings, piles of cushions and so on. I wish Scotland had more hotels like The Bay Horse.

Hamilton's fiendish One-Way Traffic system and lack of parking spaces made it difficult for my visitor to drive me from The Bay Horse to a restaurant. Next time I stay at this hotel I will tell my visitors we will just walk to the amenities in the town centre.. It only takes ten minutes along a safe, well-lighted route. The Bay Horse itself has a good car park just across Bothwell Road, behind Spice Restaurant where visitors can leave their motors.

Nice location for my visit,, large room with comfortable bed and a really nice shower, towels and soap provided and the normal tea and coffee tray was in the room, good value for the money in my opinion, The room is above a very popular pub and next to a busy road, looking forward to my next stay.

The room was huge ..very clean ..beds were comfy ..would stay again ... just down the road from the college . So great place to walk the dog b4 bed ... it was closed but the grounds were huge so we let her off the lead to stretch her legs ... people were lovely very welcoming ...thankyou also theres parking ...for the money it was excellent
