The staff on duty were bubbly, attentive and very polite. The food in the evening was very tasty and presentable, it was actually better than some 5* hotels i have stayed in. The food in the evening is this hotels shining star.

Breakfast was poor, although you can buy extras in the cafe later in the morning. My room had an overall funky smell which lasted all week and appeared stronger each day, so not sure if this was a spray or something following cleaning, but it was like a BO smell.

Breakfast was Continental although they did offer cooked at an extra price. The owners only took over the hotel in June so not had much time to settle in but they bent over backwards to help with anything or with any problems, Would stay there again, if were visiting the region.

Located at a major road junction could be noisy at times if you were not used to living in a noisy situation,hotel would benefit from double or secondary glazing or thicker curtains.

I booked this room for my friend who is a musician and was playing for a wedding in a place nearby. He thought the staff were very nice and the location was absolutely perfect as he only had to walk for 10 minutes. It was a great place to spend the night and there are buses that go straight to Glasgow.

Again, it was only a 1 night stay and in specific circumstances. He only mentioned he would've liked to be able to choose the check out later.

Good value for money, comfortable and clean accommodation. Included breakfast was perfectly adequate for our needs with a selection of cereals, yoghurts, breakfast bars, croissants and fresh fruit as well as tea and coffee on a help yourself basis. We arrived on a cold January night during a storm so were very pleased the room was nice and warm.

Could not find any real faults.

A very good sized room, which was immaculately clean. The bathroom in particular was finished to an extremely high standard. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The room smelt so fresh. Decent sized TV. A standard far exceeding Premier Inn, at roughly half the price.

No restaurant or bar, which I was already aware of when I booked. I don't think there was WiFi, I may be wrong....

This was an ideal location off the M74 (and to get back on it). Friendly, easy going manager. Helped out when I was arriving late. The room was surprisingly big, comfortable bed and all you could need of the room. The bathroom was clean and had all you needed in it!

Easy and convenient for work, comfortable and just what I needed for a night’s rest before a busy day. Staff/Owner was friendly and polite and supplied all relevant information I needed.

The property was fit for purpose and had everything that I needed for a night Stay. There was Nothing I didn’t like about the property

Easy to find.Easy check in. My room was immaculate and had tea/coffee facilities. It was very comfortable

No issues with the property except maybe a blind on the skylight windows due to it being so light but it wasn’t really an issue

Receptionist was brilliant, called me when I was running late and a little lost, "brought me home". Good size room, well appointed, comfortable.

Small thing, and only issue, cobweb off of main light fitting.

What was there not to like... the staff were incredibly welcome, friendly, helpful and caring! Our room, well could not be faulted, clean, super comfy, bathroom was luxury. Food, wow the best black pudding my husband has had (and he's a farmer) the best pasta dish I have ever had (I had it 2 nights in a row). The way all staff interacted with my daughter was top notch! We will definitely be returning and this place is highly recommended!
