AC Hotel by Marriott in Glasgow exceeded our expectations! On the day of our arrival they gave us an Upgrade and our room ended up being extremely spacious and perfect! All amenities...lounge, gym, bar, breakfast and dinner areas were immaculate! The Hotel is brand new and everything design wise, is well thought. Breakfast was top notch and we also dined in one night at Hazel restaurant, which I would totally recommend to try! The staff were very friendly and always ready to accommodate all our needs. Also in walking distance from the city centre and the train station. If ever back in Glasgow, I wouldn't think of another place to stay!

Location, room was nice , building was nice looking from the outside , the collectors hall was nice and you could walk through into it from the hotel.

Paying £160 for one night and no breakfast included was poor, the lifts were also not working properly, I tried to only get to floor 1 and when I got in it never went anywhere then I got out and went in again find the same thing as before , never went anywhere, that’s me showing my card and pressing the button , and when I did eventually get going it took me to floor 10 and then down to 6 then back up to 7 , then I got to my floor , I just used the stairs from then on after that performance.

We arrived at the AC Marriott Glasgow at 11am to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We knew that we were early and just wanted to drop off our luggage. We were given the warmest welcome by Bethany who obviously loves her job. She was so kind, informative and friendly. She informed us that our room would be ready in just a few minutes, which we didn’t expect, or were looking for. She gave us a voucher for a complimentary drink and as we were enjoying this, she came with our room key and informed us that our room had been upgraded and also included complimentary breakfast. This young lady is surely destined to rise in this industry. We were also chatting with the two young ladies behind the bar (both called Hannah) who were also so kind and friendly. This hotel has obviously managed to employ the cream of the hospitality industry. Thank you!

Very friendly & helpful staff. It was my friend's 50th and they upgraded us to the heritage suite & a complimentary drink. It made our stay more special. The hotel is really lovely, modern decor, very clean and all the reception staff we spoke to were lovely. Credit to the cleaning team, every area was spotless. The bar & lounge are really nice, good service, happy staff. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice and good produce. Sharon was so friendly and helpful, all the restaurant staff looked happy at their job, lots of smiling faces. Wish we had been staying longer. Will definitely return

Nothing, it was all great

The hotel is beautiful, it has a nice big open reception area. Quick and easy check in. You then enter a large stylish lounge with the bar within it. A very appealing area to relax with a drink before bed. Three lifts all working quickly take you to a nice corridor and your room. Beds very comfortable, nice coffee machine and shower. Room Service available also which we didn't use. No noise and blackout curtains allowed us to have an uninterrupted sleep. We went for breakfast 9 am on Saturday morning and it was really well set out. Loads of Continental style pastries, meats and cheese, yoghurts etc. The Breakfast included also a full Scottish Breakfast which was served buffet style, the quality of the food was very good and id recommend tagging breakfast on to your stay. The restaurant itself is very nice and we may look to eat in it if we were staying again in the future. Location excellent about 100 yards from George Square, 300 from Queen Street Station.

Couldn't suggest any faults from our stay. Everything was very good.

Good location. Not too far from the main transport links or city centre but far enough away from the main bustle and noise of the city centre. Friendly staff.

This is a bugbear of mine, but why does everywhere have to have music playing in their lobby, restaurants etc? Not everyone likes it, or can cope with it, and this was noticeably loud. I don’t book breakfast at hotels these days until I check out the “noise levels” - don’t hotels ever consider quiet spaces for those of us who need that, or would even prefer it? I shouldn’t have to pay a surcharge to eat in my room because of my neurology. Think about it.

The location was perfect. Walking distance to where we wanted to go. Very comfortable room. Very quiet at night. Good spacious lounge and very friendly and helpful bar staff. Very welcoming and helpful staff at check in and check out. Would definitely book again when returning to Glasgow. Good WiFi too.

The coffee maker in the room was rather temperamental. Got it to work eventually but it spluttered and coughed it’s way to making coffee

Excellent location on the corner of George Square and within easy walking distance of Queen St Station. I booked the standard double and was impressed with the size, also good to have an in-room 'fridge as standard. I liked the little 'shop' for drinks and snacks - useful if you come back late after a concert after the restaurant/bar is closed. Good choice at breakfast. Friendly staff.

TV guide not working. Never enough milk sachets for teas and coffees (pet peeve). Quite expensive compared to similar nearby hotels like the Maldron. Breakfast sausages were tasteless.

Great location, clean and spacious. Lovely, big bed and loved having a wee Nespresso! Reduced parking rate for NCP George Street. The restaurant (Hazel) has some beautiful desserts! 😍

I found the aircon really loud which disturbed my sleep (couldn't work out how to switch it fully off). There was also an annoying sliver of light coming in because the curtains wouldn't fully shut, so had to jam them behind a chair...and I would have loved a firmer pillow. I'm being really picky though as it's a fab hotel.

Breakfast was good 👍. Needed more gluten free options - most supermarkets sell gluten free sausages as standard now. Gluten free bread wasn’t seen - it was a help yourself buffet not table service order what you want so options should be available. Decaf coffee wasn’t up to the mark. Otherwise the tea selection was great including decaf tea !! 👍 Great location !! 👍. Housekeeping did a good job. Bed was fine.

The toilet in room 601 didn’t flush very well. Needed multiple flushes waste of water. The room backs on to the room housekeeping uses as store etc also it seemed the noise from the next building were working was ongoing carried over? The heating controls were puzzling.
