Staff, cleanliness, facilities, location

The breakfast was a disgrace. All items of the cooked breakfast were cold. I ordered a poached egg but when it came it was uncooked. The white of the egg was soggy and runny and the yolk was definitely uncooked and runny. The plates were cold and the hot water was not functioning properly. There was no one around to complain to at the time. It certainly was not value for money £30 for bread and butter! I emailed to you on Monday and still have not heard back.

The Front desk staff were charming and helpful.

On the first day the breakfast was buffet style so I could take what I needed but on the 2nd-day I was given what the chef plated for me - too much so there was wastage. Also, the orange juice was so watered down as to be unpalatable. This is a nice hotel, ideally located and affordable. However, I had needed to go to Edinburg two days beforehand and requested leaving my single small item of luggage at your hotel. This request was refused and I was advised to take it to the left luggage at Buchanan Street Bus Station. As a 79-year -old disabled person it was a labour to do so. Having paid for two nights with you, this was disappointing. What happened to Customer service and flexibility of your rules? Not a good take Milleneum.

We were thrilled with our accommodations at The Millennium Hotel. The high ceilings and the vintage décore made the hotel feel luxurious. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The view from our room was of George Square - gorgeous. The only drawbacks were…the hot water supply was not great. If you got up the same time of morning as everyone else, your shower wasn’t going to be warm. If you shower earlier in the evening before bed…you’ll have a hot shower. The other drawback was the beautiful windows are older and not very soundproof. I could hear the noise from the street and George Square at night, like the window was open (but it was shut). That was a minimal issue for us since we were so tired at the end of our day, it was no issue for us to fall asleep. Overall we were delighted with our stay. If we make it back to Scotland, we would definitely book rooms here, again.

The room was a great size. We were very happy with the beds as the mattresses were extremely comfortable! The bathroom was also very large which we weren't expecting. The location is excellent, the hotel is right next door to the Queen Street train station which can be easily accessed via the 500 airport bus. The check-in and check-out processes were very quick and easy.

Bathroom could have had better features - the shampoo and body washes given were very small and not really enough for a single shower. There was also no hand soap so we had to use the facial soap left for us instead. There is also no scrubber for the toilet which we thought was unusual since most hotels have them.

I have been in contact only with receptionists which have been very proffesional, friendly, with smile on the face and in good mood. On my question about bus station to airport (which is btw just around the corner), gentleman explained all details very good, explained how to avoid rush hour and so on. Hotel is basically on the main square, building is not new but what I saw it is very well maintained. Telephones in rooms teleported me in early 2000s :) We used it to communicate between rooms, works like a charm. Rooms and bathroom are clean, beds are comfortable. If I go to Glasgow again, this will be my first choice.

The location was amazing, right next door to Queen Street station and Buchanan Street underground station. Everything central was within short walking distances (Merchant City, St Enoch centre, Buchanan Galleries, Central Station, etc). Upon arrival, we received a free upgrade to a better room with a view of George Square. Having been to Glasgow a number of times, I didn't think it was worth paying for, but it was nice to get this complimentary. The fridge in the room came in very handy, as did the robe and slippers. An ironing board and iron were also provided in the room (in some hotels you need to go to request from reception). The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows provided too.

There was a lack of plug sockets in the room. An extension cord had been set up in one corner to plug in the TV, lamp, and fridge. Unfortunately, it wasn't long enough to then plug in hairdryer/straighteners and sit at the mirror comfortably. There were some parts of the room that looked like they could do with a deep clean, for example, the tiles in the bathroom and some parts of the carpet.

Room was great, large size with high ceilings and big windows (couldn’t open them though). Late check out was available at a charge of £10 per hour extra so this enabled us to spend a little more time in the room to get ready before leaving. Staff were very friendly. Lifts available for moving from floor to floor and the building felt very clean and well looked after. Bed was very comfortable and tea and coffee facilities available in room. Very convenient location in the centre of the city.

The shower pressure was a bit poor but water was hot. Rooms were not very sound proof and you could hear a lot of noise from both within and outside of the hotel. Room was a bit hot and stuffy and we were unable to open the windows which was a little bit of a pain but a minor inconvenience as we only stayed one night.

Everything about this hotel was lovely , the staff , the welcome, the old charm of times gone by which I loved . I had a double room 212 overlooking George Square and the funfair with all the sparkly lights..the room was huge, very warm and well equipped, the bed was super comfy , great for watching telly after a hard day's shopping .. The bathroom also was from another time and spotless. I would recommend this hotel for its cosy bar , breakfast lounge with lots of choices both Cooked and Continental and an extremely attentive friendly waiter....I wouldn't hesitate to return when visiting Glasgow...

Nothing, all was good 👍🏻

Great location, big rooms, maintenance team where fab and accommodating.

The only thing we found we could be improved. The bath tub plug was broken on arrival, connected staff and they send the maintenance team who where excellent and temporary fixed the plug as we choose to stay in the room as it had a good view. The front of house staff on arrival could have been more approachable, they never really seemed to be at the front desk when we went out or came back. They where amazing and accommodating just feel like they could make u feel more comfortable and relaxed
