Very friendly staff and always accommodating. Very well organised and helped to create a positive atmosphere. Food excellent and well presented.

With regard to the bathroom in our room (339) the plugs in both bath and sink didn't house properly in their respective plug holes, so having a bath instead of a shower wasn't an option. While this wasn't really an issue for either of us, it might prove so for other guests. Having a shave, however, was a bit more annoying as turning the tap on and off in order to save water, just to rinse my blade got a bit repetitive. Just little things, I know, but it's often the little things that make a difference to a good day and a great one.

The location of the Voco Grand Central is perfect. We travelled by car and parked in the NCP car park as recommended. Just a short walk through Grand Central railway station and we arrived at the hotel. The architecture was amazing and the hotel has been finished to a high standard. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and breakfast was buffet style but with plenty of choice. Parking in the recommended car park was heavily discounted through the hotel. Just a short walk away was Glasgow centre with shops, restaurants and bars. Despite it's location and size, the hotel was quiet. I would definitely recommend.

Location could not be better - right in the train station concourse and an ideal base to explore the city. The hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean, and very well maintained. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed. The bath and shower were fabulous (used both), and I loved the supplied toiletries that smelled amazing. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Great choice of food, and they never ran out - refreshing the buffet right up until they stopped serving. Champagne Central is a must for a cocktail with a view of the concourse - a great place to people watch! After checking out, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge until we did a bit of shopping. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back. We had an issue at breakfast on our first morning, relating to a breakfast item (that the hotel buys in from an outside supplier). This was dealt with VERY quickly. Both the Chef and Manager apologised to us personally, even though the issue was outwith the control of the hotel and no fault of theirs. They were only concerned with our welfare and that was very much appreciated - thank you!

Went with my wife to watch James blunt so travelled to Glasgow by train location of hotel was excellent wonderful staff very welcoming and informative hotel room was spacious comfy bed large bathroom with a great shower breakfast was great with a good selection that will cater for everyone's dietary needs staff were very polite and welcoming with a warm good morning and on leaving wishing you a pleasant day

Only one chair,sink took a while to drain television on one night caused a problem with the people in the adjacent room even though it was on low volume they proceeded to bang on the wall to which we turned it down even more so it was barely audible and they proceeded to knock on the wall again and then two minutes later they were at the door banging furiously to which I opened the door but they had run off which I thought was very brave of them lol and then five minutes later a young man from reception arrived to say he had a report of loud noise from our room he was very apologetic and could see and hear there was no problem and wished us a good night and left.So just be aware of the television on the wall and it's volume and just to say this was half past ten at night so not late

Check in was non stressful and Victoria require a mention for her hospitality skills in welcoming us to the hotel. Room excellent, location overall for the hotel excellent but view from my room was Central Train Station concourse. Breakfast was excellent, staff wonderful.

Only downside was the Champagne Bar which was far too small to celebrate any occasion and the afternoon staff, one lady in particular serving at the bar never smiled once at anyone she was serving, she just looked a bit annoyed and unapproachable, therefore we left to celebrate our Golden Wedding somewhere else which was a shame. My husband had bought me a glass of Moet Champagne which was only half a glass (this was poured by the lady who did not smile) I looked at her hoping she was going to give me a full glass but alas no, she put the bottle back so I must say for £18 for a half glass was very overpriced.

Champagne bar is not adequately staffed to enjoy. Service is poor and I left.

The hotel was beautiful and staff were amazing. We were upgraded to a suite as it was my husbands birthday and wine, biscuits and chocolate covered strawberries were left for us. Breakfast is a buffet with everything you could possibly want, the scrambled eggs were amazing.

Unfortunately there was only one lift that was working which meant very long waits for it to arrive as we were on the 5th floor. Also impossible to get a table in the champagne bar. There is a little room called the champagne corner and it would be nice if this could be left for the use of hotel residents even if just for a couple of hours in the evening. Plumbing was also noisy.

The breakfast was the same each day. But there was a decent variety Tables are very close to each other so not a lot of privacy when eating or talking to your family Kitchen chef seemed grumpy all 3 days - didn’t see him smile once Ladies serving as hostess and cleaning tables were lovely Coffee bar was excellent as was juice and variety of jams

Listed above re: breakfast Also our room looked out to another room. Was hoping for a view however relapsed it may have been more quiet and conducive to sleeping when we were not right on the street

A lovely old hotel full of character right next to the Central Railway Station in the heart of the City. The rooms were excellent with lovely en-suite facilities and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of choices - hot or cold and the coffee was very nice too. The hotel is well maintained unlike some older properties we have stayed in and upgraded to modern standards for example double glazing to shut out the city noise outside and air conditioning in the rooms to maintain a comfortable temperature at any time of year.
