The location was perfect for us, as we needed to be close to Glasgow Central train station & Yotel is basically across the street. We wouldn't normally choose a modern hotel, as we love the old, traditional style, but this was a pleasant surprise. The staff at check-in were great & it was really quick & easy to grab our key cards & get to our room. The room had cool features, like a bed that slides up into a "couch", LED lighting with color-change options behind the TV & all the room & hotel info on the TV menu. The bathroom had a separate shower & toilet within the bath area & the bathroom mirror had adjustable lighting. The windows had 2 sets of blinds that either allowed filtered light for privacy, darkening, or open-to-the-public ;) Breakfast was on an upper floor, so there were pretty good views of the city. It was buffet-style & had all the usual Scottish breakfast staples. This was adjacent to their bowling alley, which we didn't get to enjoy, but was pretty cool. All in all, a great stay.

The room was pretty dark, despite the cool lighting. I think one of the overhead bulbs was burned out, but I don't know that it would've added much more light as it was right by the door. The shower stall has no way to hang a towel, so when you get out, you have to cross the floor to the closet where the hooks are, so that was weird. Also- no kettle or coffee maker in the room, which is a bummer if you want a cuppa outside of breakfast hours.

Loved the entire feel of this hotel! The rooms are small but perfectly laid out thought about the positioning of everything, it felt really comfortable, i loved where the power sockets were, that you can cast to the TV from your phone to watch your own Netflix etc. Wifi was great, and the bar on the top floor was great. Make sure you go up to 7th floor in the disco lift from ground level, it was really fun. Breakfast was really good and the staff were brilliant

The shower was a rainfall one but had no real "power" when trying to wash long hair (just a personal thing) - the handheld shower wasn't high enough to use so you had to hold it, the bed also was a bit hard for my liking, but i slept fine. Minor gripes. 100% would stay again.

Stayed here for Hyrox. It was about 1.2 mile from the arena with a lovely simple walk to the venue along the Clyde. Staff at the hotel were very friendly. Hotel room was clean and tidy. The hotel has a small gym which was clean and very handy and although we could not check in until 15:00 there was a baggage drop to save carrying our luggage around. Good central location with plenty of restaurants and shops and only a couple of minute stroll to the River Clyde.

The toilets in the room were not exactly to private with just a frosted pane of glass to separate 😂 but as long as you know who you are staying with well it was clean, tidy and served a purpose. The lifts took a bit of getting used to, sometimes they worked, sometimes you had to scan your room key and they would work and occasionally you would have to change lifts as it kept coming up with “call locked” or something similar and the lifts took would not work. This was no big issue though.

My go to hotel for every stay no matter what city. So clean and modern with lovely helpful staff

Only thing that disappointed me again, (exact same thing as last time i stayed here) was that after paying £15 to extend my check out time from 11am to 1pm, housekeeping were not informed and woke me up around 11:30am by banging on the door (by the time i got up and to the door they had already opened it)

The hotel is located near the Central station and the Merchant City neighborhood. While there are a lot of bars are around the hotel the windows are quite soundproof and at least on the 5th floor no late noise. The concept of Yotel is more or less automated but there is staff on site if needed. The rooms are stylish but quite warm and the AC needs to be on low most of the time. A premium plus room gives you more room to move around but a regular room does the trick as well. Breakfast was British style but lacked some fresh salads or vegetables. You won’t go hungry. We would stay there again.

Location: The location is fantastic—right in the heart of Glasgow. It’s less than 100 metres from Glasgow Central Station and within walking distance to the St Enoch Subway Station (about 5 minutes). The hotel is surrounded by a great selection of cafés and restaurants and sits in the main shopping district, making it extremely convenient for both transport and leisure. We were allowed a FOC early check in, which was pleasantly surprising. Rooms: The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, with a great mattress and soft pillows. Towels were provided, and I liked the layout of the bathroom with the shower and toilet in separate compartments. It’s also a nice touch to have a tall mirror behind the door and another by the sink, which is conveniently placed outside the bathroom. The blackout blinds were very effective, and overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The complimentary luggage storage is also a bonus since the checkout time is 11 am!

The mini fridge in the room didn’t chill properly. There was no kettle available in the room. Triple Room Minor Note: The triple room is essentially the same size as the double, with an additional single bunk bed over the double. This makes the space very compact for three adults with large suitcases. There’s no side table, and the room feels quite dark. It may be better suited to a family with a child rather than adult travellers.

There was an issue with the TV on the first night coming on four times and waking us up. We were informed that this was an ongoing issue in the hotel. The breakfast was ok, but the range could have been healthier. For example natural yoghurt, berries, oats and a wider range of breads. There seemed to be an emphasis on sugar based items. It would have been nice to have been offered mushrooms with the cooked breakfast. It all seemed to be fried foods with the exception of scrambled egg.

The location was great, next to the main train station,and plenty of buses.Easy to get around Glasgow. The hotel room was ok, a nice big shelf in the bathroom for laying out clothes or towels etc.The bed moves up and down to give more space when not in use. Big Tv, you can cast Netflix or other subscribed channels to your tv if you are a subscriber, air conditioning, heating, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, lots of mirrors, a safe, both sides of the bed below had room for 1 or 2 suitcases. Shelves and hanging space, hangers. Comfy pillows, clean and soft bedding.

Some of the facilities in the room were not so good. The full-length mirror next to the door was very dark, and it was the only place you could dry your hair.There was just not enough light. The shower and toilet doors needed new seals as the shower was slightly open, so it would not shut. So there was water outside the shower on the floor. I took a travel kettle, cups, tea and uht milk as there were no facilities for any kind of drink. The fridge doesn't work in any of the rooms. I did ask about this, and I'm not really sure why they have fridges. I also think a folding chair (for space) would be a good idea.

The hotel is literally at the door of Glasgow central station so getting there was really fast and convenient for us. We loved all the facilities in the room, fridge, safe, even an ironing board. Compact but well laid out room with a really good shower. Our son loved the bunk and the electric bed. The tv was super HD and everything was clean and in good order. The disco lift was a big hit and the bar on top floor looked good.

A room without a kettle and tea facilities! That was a big disappointment and not sure why they haven't included it. Also it was hard to control the room temperature.

The YOTEL Glasgow is situated in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw away from Central Station. This was my first stay here and I was extremely impressed by this hotel. Reception staff were so courteous and helpful on arrival. Check-in was hassle free and for the first time in years, I was given a free room upgrade - usually this comes at a price! The room itself was very well appointed with an incredible view of Glasgow's iconic Hielanman's Umbrella. The large double bed was so comfortable too. Great shower in the rather quirky shower room as well. Excellent experience overall - highly recommended!
