Been going to the hotel for a number of years now, and it’s always been great. Definite improvement in the staff now from when Kimpton originally took the place over.

It’s not a dislike as such, but I miss the first floor cocktail bar which was always the highlight of any stay we had. Surely this can be reopened? The bar downstairs is great, but I feel it’s a waste of an opportunity having the facility in the hotel and not being used.

Everything from check in to check out was 10/10 perfect. Check in experience was very personalized. Shout out to Kirsty in reception who made us feel welcome, told us about the times we could use the facilities, all about our room and also supported in signing us up for the IHG loyalty program (wee glass of Prosecco after signing up too which was lovely a lovely touch). I often find check in experiences to be very straight to the point but Kirsty was genuinely interested in what we had planned for our stay etc. The room was absolutely stunning, large room, clean and the minibar/snacks were a great touch (we stayed in the Premium King Room so minibar is included with these ones) Robes and slippers too, clean and very cosy! Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the spa but I have done the twilight experience before and it’s magical. All round - the best overnight stay I have had in Glasgow, and 100% will return to the Blythswood hotel!

My sister and brother in law stayed. They raved about everything! There wasn’t anything they didn’t like. I would book them in there again.

Your call centre was not helpful about the booking, it was through a booking.com, and very unhelpful when I wanted to book the car parking service. They told me to look up the website to book my sister and her husband’s car in. I thought that for a 5 star hotel it would have been handled by the hotel. I was eventually put through to the hotel itself and they fixed everything out. But even then they had problems finding the booking when my sister arrived. Once it was fixed their stay was excellent.

To sum up the Kimpton Blythswood at Christmas experience; the only description that suffices is "divinely elegant and endlessly welcoming". This meticulously well crafted spa hotel is the height of laid back contemporary class and delicious luxury. The absolute bonus is the guests receive free spa hours too and it's an absolute treat. From the point of arrival, we were shown the warmest hospitality and generousity (special mentions to David the awesome Concierge, the lovely Ivo at Front of House, and the charming Anton at the truly superb iasg restaurant!) given that we were there celebrating a very special birthday. We were overjoyed with the entire Kimpton Blythswood experience and would definitely return again. Thanks so much to all the Kimpton staff for making our stay so gloriously unforgettable. 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

Truthfully, one would be very hard pressed to find any fault with the meticulous spec and service levels at Kimpton Blythswood. It's as close to subtle perfection as a UK boutique hotel stay can get, but with the added bonus of friendly Glaswegian charm that comes with being in that part of the isles.

Location was amazing, warm and welcoming staff, comfortable and spacious bedroom with fab bathroom. Quiet halls, easy use of facilities, overall we really loved our stay here. Breakfast was incredible, especially with our waiter Anton who brought such flair to his job and gave the best service we’ve had for a long time. He was friendly and attentive, giving very personalised service at a busy time for him. He was very charismatic and funny and made our morning! The spa was wonderful and the staff were attentive and friendly. Spa facilities were incredible to be included in the price for a night.

Enjoyed breakfast when we had it plenty choice Reception staff and the two gentlemen who were so helpful every tonne we wanted to go anywhere, they looked after us fantastically well!

Our room was really lovely and the upgrade and little goodies to celebrate my husbands 80th were delightful and unexpected. If I have to make one minor criticism it is only that the bathroom was a little impractical, too much marble slippery floor and not enough places to hold onto Bath etc or to put things…

Everything, we love the blythswood and everything it has to offer. Staff are friendly, breakfast is lovely, the air con is so fresh and crisp, the hotel is always clean and immaculate. Attention to detail such as complimentary spa access and snacks. we always enjoy our stays

It was a real shame about the spa facilities as it’s usually our favourite part. The spa was so over crowded and not relaxing atall unfortunately :( we walked in and walked back out 10 minutes later as it was so overwhelmingly busy. It’s a real pity as this is usually the highlight of our stays

Convenient location

Breakfast finishes at 10am. When you're on holiday you want a little lie in as a treat .You also have to book breakfast or you will not get a table which is a very bad set up. There were lots of people waiting to get into the breakfast room. We decided to go to the Ivy in town,as we were on the waiting list the first morning of our stay. I also think the staff could have smiled more and the produce for the cooked buffet could have been much better.

This is a stunning property. Extremely stylish and well appointed public areas and a spacious modern and comfortable bedroom with plenty of storage and a lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Staff were unfailingly helpful and polite and overall service levels were excellent. They have the balance between relaxed feel with being professional absolutely right.

Although there is a good offering of cold dishes and a nice hot selection on the menu, the main hot breakfast buffet wasn’t hot enough. We were surprised that the buffet plates were cold. This didn’t help with the temperature of the food.

It is a stunning building! Lovely rooms we did book a premier king so was expecting it to be a decent size, the spa was lovely and I loved the choice at breakfast also you could order from the kitchen at no extra cost!

I did feel slightly underwhelmed at the “complimentary mini bar” one packet of crisps for two staying and 3 types of soft drinks! I’ve stayed in 4* hotels that have a wee beer or small wine included so for over £500 for less than 24 hours in the hotel it would’ve been nice to have a small choice of wine or beer Also unfortunately where our room was it was right next to the lobby toilets so we heard the hand dryer quite often but it wasn’t the worst as we were out a lot!
