Location is quiet...considering your in the center of glasgow The welcome from reception staff on arrival and departure Makes you feel..they are attentive to your needs during your stay Had a wonderful Christmas dinner ...traditional with a classic timeless edge..creating a sensual overload ..with ever mouth full ...from starter to dessert.. It did not disappoint Bar has a wonderful selection of cocktails..champagne..whisky Yet again more attentive staff on hand to explain the selections of drinks available The rooms have a classical old school charm ..with a sharp modern edge...in its own right a wonderful indulgence The hotel is quiet...certainly a place where you can recharge away from the outside world Have returned to this hotel on many visits ...does not disappoint

Yet to find something wrong...

The Executive King Room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The staff were very warm and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very professional. Very chilled, spa-like atmosphere with dimmed lighting. I relaxed the moment I entered the lobby. I wasn't expecting my room to be ready so early but it was available for me to check right in before 11am. That was perfect.

An alternative to the synthetic duvet and pillows would have been a good option if possible as I really overheated both nights with those. The bed was incredibly comfortable though. I just don't like sleeping under a synthetic duvet. I did have the a/c down to 19, too, but still too hot. I felt the prices for food in the Grill were a little steep. £23 for broccoli gnocchi, however delicious, was too expensive. Especially as the (delicious) crab linguine the second night was only £18 in Jack's Bar upstairs. Didn't deter me though and I had delicious meals both nights.

Really enjoyed the style and ambience of the hotel. Lovely appointed room and it was nice and quiet too!. Friendly staff who checked us in. Thanks!!

Only one thing. We popped to the hotel bar after dining out elsewhere. I headed to the bar to confirm whether it was table service and this was confirmed by the person behind the bar. After waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to pop over to take our order we gave up. The bar area was very quiet and we do not know if there was anything going on that evening which might have taken the team members attention away from us.

I stayed with my partner for his birthday. We arrived a little early to drop our bags, our room was already made up and we got straight in. The room was absolutely gorgeous. We had planned to go to the terrace for a few drinks then head out but the terrace kept us! The staff are absolutely amazing. Adam from the bar knew his stuff! He was very attentive and made sure we were ok. The housekeeper from Saturday morning on our floor was lovely I asked for some extra tea bags which was no problem for her. Very polite!

I can genuinely say that there's absolutely nothing I didn't like. I would highly recommend this place.

The most notable thing were the staff. They could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I especially want to mention Jen and Jordan, who went above and beyond the call of duty, but every one else was just as good. The breakfast was lovely.

The room could have been serviced a bit more often; meaning, we ordered room service the first night, and the tray and dishes were not cleared until we asked for it, well into the second day. We asked for the rubbish to be emptied but this was not done. We felt that the room service menu lacked in offering lighter meals such as sandwiches, etc, and not just heavier meals. With that said, again, the staff was exceptional.

Having stayed at the Dakota Edinburgh, we decided to stay at the Dakota Glasgow. It is a lovely hotel, staff are lovely, the hotel is spotless.

Breakfast - so we arrived for breakfast at 915. There was no toast, no croissants, no fresh fruit - all this is advertised on their menu. At our table, my cup had a huge crack down the side of out which I had to ask to be replaced. My husband and I booked ordered the cooked breakfast which consisted of - one rasher of bacon, one sausage, one potato scone, very small portion of eggs, a tomato, black pudding & a very small portion of beans. My breakfast wasn’t very warm either. After staying in Edinburgh we knew the breakfast was good, however in Glasgow it was not the same, it was actually very poor for £44. Maybe they just had an off day but in my personal opinion it was so expensive for what it was. Shame really as it’s a stunning hotel!

What an amazing experience. As soon as you walk through the entrance, Atmospheric decor throughout and tasty done. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. The room we stayed in (room 111), was clean, comfortable, well laid out and nice and warm, which was nice coming in from a cold windy & wet Glasgow afternoon. The decor in the room was atmospheric. Darkened with soft lighting, giving it a sensual and plush feel to it. Putting you at ease as soon as you entered the room. The room had a wet room and it was amazing. A beautiful bonus feature. Not a criticism, but if there had been a bath in the wet room. I don't think l would have left the room. We Love sharing a bath with a bottle of wine's and some music to chillax. What can l say. For us it was a 9.9 out of 10 experience. Will definitely be returning to the Dakota when we staying over when visiting the beautiful city that is Glasgow.

The hotel staff were really attentive without being intrusive, an excellent balance. The room was quiet and on one of the upper floors that we had requested so, again, we were happy with this. We had breakfast on two of the mornings of our stay and had an evening meal in the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We also took the opportunity to have a night cap in the bar each night, which was a nice, relaxing end to the day. I would definitely stay in a Dakota hotel again. Superb.

We weren’t dissatisfied with anything during our stay.

This is a modern, clean and centrally located hotel in the business district. It is a walking distance to the hop on hop off bus.

This hotel is in a business district. We were on the 1st floor on the side where outside the street was being torn up. Loud noise was going on from 8am until around 4 pm. When we requested to be moved to the other side and we were told it was not possible unless we would move each day we were there. There was no thoughtfulness with the desk people. No compensation for the daily disruption. Don't stay here if you want to sleep. We booked this months in advance and were stuck with it.

The room was very nice and comfortable, however it was very warm during the night and we couldn't get the air conditioning to work. Windows are locked shut so no chance of cooling the room down a bit. We were room only which was quite costly. Breakfasts were expensive so we went elsewhere. Reception staff were lovely.

My husband bought a pint at the bar and although it was already expensive he was charged 91pence service charge which is a lot on the cost of a pint of lager. The location wasn't ideal as it was a bit of a walk uphill from the city centre.
