The staff was exceptional, especially the two night receptionists who went out of their way to help us out and feel welcome. Everyone was extremely nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also the interior of the hotel is pretty cool and the bar serves very nice drinks. The breakfast was really good - fine selection of both continental and hot breakfast options. We also loved the location, it was a nice walk to O2, where we had concert tickets and there are two parking lots nearby.

Minor inconvenience: Our room only had a rain shower and low water pressure, and washing your hair in that ain't fun. The lighting in the room was very low / dark in the room.

All I can say is WOW!!! We stayed here for our anniversary and could not have asked for anymore. We received a complimentary upgrade to the suite, which was absolutely stunning! We had rose petals on our bed and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco chilling in an ice bucket for our arrival. The restaurant manager, Martin, was just amazingly accommodating and so lovely. Nothing was any bother and he absolutely went over and above to make our dinner special. Katerina was also incredible and couldn't have been any nicer. She served us with a lovely smile and couldn't have done enough for us. Thank you so much for a wonderful child free evening!

The parking is atrocious it kinda ruins the stay as my husband had to go out so many times and in the morning he had to go out again at 7:30 am to deal with parking issues he was having a good sleep and did not want to rise early to sort out the parking and be disturbed when he was cosy in his bed , that was a spoiler it was not conducive with a relaxing over night stay coupled with additional expense or a very expensive parking fine On a good note the front desk manager was extremely helpful and really nice new his job very well exceptionally knowledgeable and a great asset to the Malmaison hotel All the staff were very friendly and polite and attentive. The

Gorgeous boutique-feel hotel in quieter area near the heart of the city. Staff were perfect. Beds very comfortable. The bar had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and wasn't busy or loud (during a trip Jan/Feb) and served superb cocktails. House toiletries lovely. Everything looked well maintained. We could opt out of daily towel-refresh to be a little more eco-friendly (and receive a benefit - I'll leave that one to be a nice surprise for you). Tea making facilities in room. Prices in Jan/Feb weren't hugely different to other city hotels - so booking Malmaison was an easy choice. Top tip: shop around online for parking about 10min walk South near motorway.

No extractor fan in en suite, leaving the mirrors foggy. Even with cooler Jan/Feb weather, on our second night the room was a bit warmer overnight than I'd have liked. No decaf teabags with tea making facilities.

Friendly and attentive receptionist at check in, held bags while we parked and arranged a later check out after discovering our plans for the next day - wonderfully comfortable and cozy room

Bar man was abrupt, very quite bar but no conversation or offer for an alternative to a requested drink that wasn’t on the menu granted but it is a cocktail making bar! disappointed Room was also showing some wear and tear, bathroom extraction fan not working and paint surrounding it badly chipped and flaking off. Better attention to dusting and a little maintenance is required to the room to warrant the usual price tag but as it was Jan discount happily overlooked

We travelled up to Glasgow to scatter remains from our late mother, the staff were extremely helpful and caring towards us. In Particular Carolina who seemed to manage all of the bar area as well as the restaurant, she was so organised and the minute she left the bar, the staff couldnt keep up with the demand from the on site events, Carolina would have to return to mitigate the risk. Carolina seemed to know all the guests, we were there for three nights and saw her every evening, she greeted us, checked in on how we were doing and continued to run the show...this lady deserves a promotion, at minimum a raise. Thank you Carolina for all the support and care, and thank you to the rest of the wonderful staff at Malmaison.

The wait for Breakfast on our last morning, I received my cooked breakfast at 10.45 and had to check out at 11am.

Absolutely stunning hotel, the junior suites are beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Bar stocks a good range of drinks and the steak night is such good value and oh my goodness it was cooked to perfection. Our room was on two levels and had two tvs, good space for storage, tea making facilities, a nespresso machine, a good sized dressing table which is definitely something a lot of hotels lack, our own little sitting area which was so comfy, even an armchair up in the bedroom. Gorgeous king size bed with beautifully soft sheets and genuinely one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in. I didn’t want to get out of it. Breakfast was served in the beautiful restaurant and had a great continental selection, both the coffee and orange juice were good. Good selection of hot food as well which again, was cooked perfectly. Martin the manager was great!

The only thing I would say about the bathroom was that it was slightly cramped. The bath was hard to get into with a dodgy ankle.

Love the interior of the place so different to the Edinburgh one and staff go above and beyond and are very knowledgeable aswell. The food is amazing and worth having while u stay,lovely continental breakfast and a wide range to choose from

The only few issues I had with the room was shower would go cold from time to time and not enough shelving or cupboard space for clothes and the smell of pee in toilet now n again aswell we did have a small standard room but has potential for more space for clothes

All three of the front desk staff who helped me were exceptional and made my stay there special. Thank you very much to Andrew,Hayden and Abdul. Malmaison is lucky to have you. The housekeeping staff I encountered were lovely and helpful too. My room was clean and comfortable. Situated just off the beaten track by a couple of short blocks, the walk down to trains at Central or Queen Street Stations was about ten minutes. It is a beautiful building. I really enjoyed my stay there.

The three bar staff I encountered could learn a lot about service from the excellent desk staff. The bar staff were neither attentive or pleasant. Quite unusual in Scotland in general. I did not use the restaurant.

The building itself is very interesting, consisting of an old Greek church and an adjoining building. It's well appointed, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was comfortably warm when we were there. There is a bar and a bistro in the basement of the hotel which looked good (didn't try, see below). Location is good, not in the centre of things but only a small walk away; we only walked for the few days we were there. Room was well maintained and had some great tea and coffee options.

Only minor gripes here, opportunities for improvement. The bar only had lagers and an IPA. No darker beers, not even cans of Guinness or similar. Seemed an odd omission. The duvet on the bed was too much for the temperature in the room. I eventually pulled the duvet out to just use the cover as a sheet which was more than enough. There was no separate light for the cupboard including the hot drinks and the safe. This meant you need to put all the ceiling lights on to see, which wasn't great for anyone sleeping at the time. Should be easy to fit something more specific.
