This hotel has everything you need as a home base to explore Glasgow and the Highlands. It’s 0.3 miles to the Buchanan Bus terminal, starting and ending point for many tour companies, and 0.2 miles to the Queen Street train station, where you can catch a train to many Highland destinations. The hotel is well appointed with fabulous staff. The cafe at the reception area has a full service bar and food menu that is available 24/7. This is very handy for those late returns from tours.

The room I had was very small but perfectly adequate for one person. If you are sharing a room someone will need to be either in the bed or the bath for you to move around and get ready. It’s very nicely decorated in a very modern style with a great shower.

The Z Hotel Glasgow was stunning! Gorgeous, sleek, modern clean room! Sky package, free WIFI, delicious breakfast (with plenty of choice!), 24/7 service for food and drinks and the staff were INCREDIBLE!! (the gentleman who worked the reception desk with the glasses — we didn’t get his name, I’m so sorry!!) He was wonderful, so kind, so helpful and went above and beyond for us for the entirety of our stay!

Although it was a little small the room still had plenty of space just with all amenities and facilities within one room! Perhaps more hot breakfast choices other than that it was perfect!! Nothing that would ruin a stay but just little point that could make a great thing even better!!!

Great location, good shower, comfy bed and little extra touches like bottled water and basic toiletries in the shower. Comfy bed and easy to work air con meant you had a comfy sleep. I must admit i was expecting a more basic room than i had for £50 per night in central Glasgow. I’d had a long days travel and had arrived late at night so opted for a pizza in the hotel bar and it was good value and very tasty.

At check in although i had a friendly welcome the man checking me in gave me my key card and said aloud my room number. As a woman travelling alone and the reception sharing the bar area where several people were sitting alone i felt unsafe. Everything else was good.

I fell ill on the Monday morning.they organised an ambulance for me.because I had my 10 yr old son with me and we were due to back home by train I declined a hospital visit.but I certainly didn't feel like spending the rest of the day walking around.the receptionist let us stay in the room till we needed to go at 3pm.check out time was 11am so I was very grateful...

Only thing I didn't like was I made a mistake on my booking.i paid £150 for one night on Saturday but I realised It should have been Sunday night which was £70..when I asked if I could change they said no way.even though it was booked literally an hour before.they then sent me a message saying ok but I would have to still pay the £150 for Sunday..I'm the end I said no way and booked the extra Sunday night for £70.they also said they were putting an extra bed for my son but it clearly wasn't.when I asked they said the room was to small but if I upgraded another £20 I could go into a slightly bigger room...come on guys show some customer respect..it's not all about money...

My stay was very pleasant . Although the room was a bit small, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We really enjoyed the morning coffee in the room and appreciated the welcome bottle of water. The staff were very kind and responded promptly to all our questions. Lastly, the hotel’s central location meant that all the main points of interest were just a short walk away.

It would be great to have a second stool so that both of us can sit comfortably. Also, having slightly larger waste baskets in the bathroom and the room—or ensuring they are emptied daily—would make the stay even more convenient.

I was very happy there and have now booked again for next month .The Z hotel was sited in a good position for my needs . My room was on the 5th floor ,at first I thought it was small .Then noticed how everything had been done to utilise the limited space . A single room with a 3/quarter bed ,a superb large TV at the foot of the bed . A very nice and roomy shower/toilet . Plenty of hooks to hang my clothes up on and a good air/con system . Kettle there together with a generous tea and coffee selection to choose from . One could see the hotel was recently refurbished and in great order . a five out of five from me .

A superb single room for me ,maybe not for someone who likes to spread out . I travel quite often but my room was as clean as the best I have visited .

Great spot for a hot shower (good water pressure) and relaxing sleep (comfy bed) after doing the West Highland Way. Compared to Fot William, decent price for one night. Convenient location near the train station. Dinner with pizza, wedges and salad available in house. Lovely bilingual staff. :) Tip: Glasgow has a lot to offer. Lots of museums, pubs ... If you enjoy strolling through town, check out the Glasgow Mural Trail.

The breakfast is too expensive for what it is (15 pounds). Go to a bakery instead. Tiny room with the "bathroom" in it (like a glass box), thus no privacy. Provided shampoo bottle was broken. Icy AC.

The food was fantastic, facilities in the room were very modern and clean. The options for coffee/tea/hot chocolate and milks etc was great. The bed was super comfortable with warm blankets and comfortable pillows. I loved the option for the heating as I was freezing in Glasgow and not used to the weather! The shampoo and body wash options didn't feel cheap, they were of high quality. And the staff were exceptionally lovely and friendly. Being a solo traveller, it can sometimes be daunting but I was made to feel safe and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great, and if I find myself in Glasgow again, I would absolutely pick this hotel again.

This is our 2nd time staying there in 5 weeks , love the place, affordable, brilliant sittuated, great staff very friendly and helpful,from the manager to the girl who brought us fresh towels and the maintenance man

Very kind team! They are super helpful and super reactive! I arrived in town with a night bus & did my checkin at 1.20am. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Prior to that, i was exchanging by messages with the team to explain my late checkin situation and they were super quick and helpfull in their responses. The room was very confortable, clean and quiet with also a lot of supplies (coffee, tea, ...). Very good bed & shower too. They also keep your bag for some hours if needed and without any charges! The room doesnt have a window but it wasnt a problem for me.
