My stay was very pleasant . Although the room was a bit small, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We really enjoyed the morning coffee in the room and appreciated the welcome bottle of water. The staff were very kind and responded promptly to all our questions. Lastly, the hotel’s central location meant that all the main points of interest were just a short walk away.

It would be great to have a second stool so that both of us can sit comfortably. Also, having slightly larger waste baskets in the bathroom and the room—or ensuring they are emptied daily—would make the stay even more convenient.

Charlie and his staff at Z Glasgow were fantastic, friendly and amazingly helpful! I felt like I was treated like family and that everyone at Z was NOT just doing their job --- they were doing their best and being themselves in a professional manner. Great location! Free wifi is a big deal for individual travelers!

I felt one improvement that might be made would be to create a brief "Welcome & how it works here at Z" card to put in rooms that would be helpful to inexperienced travelers like me. This would help staff and not make it necessary for them to explain everything (perks & benefit of staying at Z) for every new guest, especially when they are tired from traveling. At first glance I thought my room was SO small, but then I recognized and learned how much care and planning had gone into each room - I was sold. I had a windowless room and I thought that might be a problem, but the air conditioning was fantastic and in the end I loved my safe little room with everything I needed to be comfortable.

Due to ill health I was more or less housebound for the last ten years. Due to an upturn in my health and large weight loss I’m now re entering society!! So being a music lover, returning to attending concerts is a must for me. We were attending a Sparks concert at RCH. I’m still not quick, mobility wise but building my walking up. To have the train station, hotel and venue all within achievable walking distance for me was wonderful. I googled hotels near RCH after booking concert and liked the look of Hotel Z. From the minute of arriving to leaving it was a pleasure. Your hotel does what it says on the tin, maybe showing my age now, that use to b a very famous tagline on a tv advert. It’s spotless, it’s modern, it’s extremely well priced and helpful staff. Wished I saw the young man’s name who booked me in because he went over and beyond when I asked him a couple of questions about the area. I’ve recently stayed at the Moxy at the Hydro. It is spotless, modern but I feel it takes advantage of its location and the prices are extortionate. I don’t like the feeling that any trader is trying to get as much money as they can from you. I do realise they are running a business and out to make money but for me their tactics leave a bit of a sour taste. And one or two of their staff made u feel a bit hesitant to approach them. Your staff that I had contact with couldn’t have been more helpful and gave the impression that they wanted to make sure my stay was the-best it could be. I will 100% be back and I have already recommended the hotel to lots of my friends. Thank you.

Not blowing smoke up your bottoms !!! but there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Only one thing. When I thought it would be morning time it was still dark in the room. It was then pointed out to me, sarcastically by my partner there were no windows so where the bleeding hell did I expect the light to come from!!!! Doh. The penny dropped . If I had brains I’d b dangerous. But no windows was not an issue in the least

The hotel was in a fantastic location as it was so central! The room was super clean and comfortable and had every little detail in it. The highlight of the stay was 100% the staff who were superbly helpful and friendly from check in to check out and even after. I fell ill while visiting the city and the staff on the morning of the 21/04/25 not only gave me advice on what to do but allowed me to use the hotel phone for around 2 hours to be able to call the NHS as I was unable to call from my own mobile. They checked in with us while we waited to hear back from the NHS and offered additional support if needed and made us feel like we were no burden (it definitely was not an ideal situation for the staff to deal with). I honestly cannot recommend this hotel and the staff enough - Best stay I’ve had anyway

Absolutely nothing had a fantastic stay

This was the second time I stayed at the Z Hotel in Glasgow city centre in just over a year. Just like the first time in April last year, I had absolutely no complaints at all. There was a problem with the TV in my room, but Loretta the receptionist sorted it all out in no time at all. Thank you for doing that, Loretta. I originally booked a windowless inward room as it was slightly cheaper than an outward room with windows. However Loretta, helpful as ever, asked if I would like to upgrade to a room with windows for an extra £10 per night, which I did. Loretta's idea of customer service is exceptional. Well done Loretta!

The only criticism I would make of the Z Hotel in Glasgow city centre is that it does not take cash as it is a card and digital payments only hotel. I believe a hotel should always accept cash for minor purchases such as drinks at the bar for example.

I chose this hotel for the location and it didn't disappoint--very easy walk from Queen Street Station and right around the corner from an Airport Express bus stop, making it quick and easy to get to the airport. My room was small but sufficient, modern, clean, and comfortable. Staff is friendly, and having them as well as food always available downstairs is convenient and lends a welcoming, communal sort of atmosphere.

For an overnight stay on the way from one place to another, this was the perfect choice. If I was staying in town for longer, I might choose somewhere else, but other benefits like the cafe and the value for the price still make this a good option.

Location, price and friendly staff. It’s in the city center, really close to train station and near bus station. Staff from reception was very nice, they helped us a lot. There is someone there 24h, and that makes you feel safe. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Also water. Very modern and super clean. Shampoo, shower gel and hand soap provided. Hair dryer also.

We got a room without windows. Small room also. We knew what we were going to get so no complaints there, but if you have big luggage that will be a problem. I would get a better room next time, probably worth paying a bit more

We were allowed to check in early and were given a better room than what we booked. ( We originally booked a room without window, but we were put in a wheelchair accessible room that was very spacious) Spotless clean spacious bathroom, big comfortable soft bed, an assortment of coffee and tea in the room, good temperature and ventilation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's bar/ restaurant is open until late with many options. 24h reception desk. The location is superb, right at centre at George Square. The bus to/from the airport is less than 5min walk away. Overall very happy with our stay, thank you!

Can't think of anything negative :)

The Z hotel in Glasgow is extremely conveniently located right in the city center! It's just a short and easy walk from Glasgow Queen St. station and George Square and just a slightly longer walk form Glasgow Central. If you're traveling by train, like I tend to do it's the perfect location to stay at in order to have easy walkable access to many attractions, shops, restaurants and coffee shops as well as a bus stop in case you want to venture further out! This was my second stay here in about a year and both times I was very impressed and satisfied with the cleanliness of my room and the premises in general and the fast wifi especially for the very affordable and accessible price! Both times the staff have also been extremely friendly and available to help if I need anything. This is definitely my go to place to stay in Glasgow and I highly recommend!

I have very few complaints from either of my stays, the only thing that I would note is that at any Z Hotel location that I've stayed at, the rooms tend to be on the much smaller side. As I am someone who prefers to spend my time out and about exploring and experiencing things this doesn't bother me at all, however if you tend to spend a lot of time in your room you may want to take that into account. That being said they do have a very nice front lobby with food and coffee etc. that you could also take advantage of if your room gets too cramped!
