The room was spotless. There had been a lot of thought in the design and comfort of the room. There were unusual features about the setup including access and trust which we liked, although it could feasibly be abused by other clients. The location was full of character with the cathedral and necropolis next door. The room was cosy (wee bit cramped) but was efficiently laid out. The windows could be opened which was a hit with my other half who likes fresh air. The breakfast was not cooked, however it lived up to the perceived standard of the restaurant in that the fare seemed freshly baked and prepared with the finest of home made ingredients. The icing on the cake was the included taster of vermouth.

Lack of shelf in the bathroom for toiletries.

We stayed in the top rooms during our visit and had a beautiful view over the Necropolis and city. The room had tea, coffee and fruit on arrival and there was toiletries should you prefer to travel light. In room hairdryer and a small mirror were available as well as a TV if you need this, I cannot comment on what channels it provides. The bed was spacious and very comfortable with extra pillows and a throw which was useful due to the heat in the room as the space was very cosy for February. Breakfast was a great little collection of treats to start the day. listings of foods would be appreciated however an otherwise delicious collection. The room though described as small was still a great size with a large bed and dressing table large enough to double as a work space. Great mix of things to make the overnight more comfortable and only a short walk from the city centre and local amenities.

Nothing to not like, few minor fixes needed such as damaged wardrobe door that wouldn't close and a damp smell in the bathroom due to poor ventilation. The only things I would have appreciated are, a note on what was on our breakfast tray, a slightly bigger mirror on the desk or a tall mirror in the natural light for getting ready as bathroom lighting is rarely forgiving. However these are more wants than needs and the space was still great.

Well we have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about our stay. Loved every thing. The room was in attic . Large very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy. On arrival we had fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, cheese and water waiting on us. Iron, ironing board, clean towels. Kettle etc and cafetiere coffee. Beautiful view out of attic window of the Glasgow Necropolis and The provans lordship. (Oldest house in Glasgow) It's very much a self sufficient 'stay' with regards to online check in. Code for key pad to get in etc. Mobile number is given in the event you should require any help or advice from owner. Our room was up a couple of flights of stairs which wasn't an issue at all for us but may be to others. (no lifts ) We walked around the area. The beautiful Glasgow Cathedral is also across the road . A 5 min walk will take you to a large supermarket and fish and chip shop. **(There is an Italian restaurant on ground floor of the building) ** We were greeted this morning with a lovely wee breakfast on a tray table with beautiful granola, sour dough bread and cake outside our door.

Nothing.

Just there for the night for a special occasion, not a big trip as we come from a town around Glasgow! But anyways we got treated to a lovely room upgrade to room 2 and it was delightfully comfy with a fantastically spacious bathroom with a decent view. Not much contact with the staff but the few interactions were positive! Just loved the vibe with the old Victorian building next to the Necropolis

I wasn't feeling too well for the stay otherwise I could've properly enjoyed it! Nothing wrong with our stay though from the hotel's perspective

A clean, cosy room up on the top floor with a fully modern bathroom with rain shower. Very quiet rooms for it being above/adjacent the restaurant. A special entrance next to the restaurant makes for a easy access. The cathedral and surroundings are just across the street and stunning, plenty to do there. Also close enough to the city centre to go there for a walk and a bite.

A small design issue made you could not stand in the rain shower without having a fancy old, but boiling hot faucet pressed against you, should have made the rain shower arm extend some more. The top floor can only be reached by pretty steep stairs, but to be fair that is as advertised.

The room was beautiful, the location was ideal for heading into town (and in general wandering around Glasgow). I stayed in the top room which had unreal views of Glasgow. The shower was amazing. The breakfast selection was really tasty. Great desk set up to work from the hotel room.

You don't get the chance to interact with the staff, which didn't impact my stay at all but did make check-in a little more faff than a standard hotel. Helpful instructions all the same - hard to go wrong! The option for a hot breakfast would have been a nice addition.

Beautiful room (though I think we had one of the larger suites), and great location. It's self-check in which worked ok for us.

No air-conditioning (and it was an uncharacteristically hot couple of days in Glasgow when we visited), so it would've been nice to have been offered a fan! There was also no turndown service. Someone let themselves into the room to wash the cups, but the bed and bathroom weren't touched (which we thought was weird). I'm all for saving the planet and wouldn't have expected the towels or sheets to be changed for a 2 night stay, but either do something rather than bear minimum, as the room was not cheap!

I liked that when i arrived and was making my way to my room one of the kitchen staff was going down the stairs and gave me a very big 'welcome to glasgow!', that was really great thank you. The accommodation has a busy italian restaurant on the ground floor (which also has a patio), and guests and kitchen staff share a bit of the same access/stairs, which surprised me. Interesting. The room was spacious. The location is a bit out of the way from the shops and sights of the city - but if you don't mind a bit of walking, it's in a great place and the walk has it's own highlights along the way. There is also a brewery nearby which had great selection of beer and food. I had messaged the host for help with arranging a taxi, and I immediately got a response and the taxi ordered. Access to the accommodation building and room was simple. I had also done a walking tour of the city, and a lot of them end at the cathedral which was perfect if you stay here. I think this a great place to stay for a quick visit.

I was really looking forward to having a view of the necropolis, but i was on the other side of the building. Also, and i am sensitive to smell, but the smell of cooking food was a bit strong for me at times.

We love celentanos. Stayed twice before. We upgraded and loved our room. Attic room we had been given initially was too small for a 3 day stay. Short bed and felt claustrophobic.

Breakfast. Much preferred when in the dining room. Fiddly unwrapping things in the room.Fridge very tiny. Not enough milk for drinks. Cheese hard to unwrap. Delicious bread but overall breakfast felt bit basic for the price. We bought mackerel pate raspberries and juice which much improved it!

The room we stayed in was beautiful with stunning views of Glasgow and the Necropolis. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and although I didn't use it, I loved the free standing bath tub. The room was furnished to a high specification and was immaculately clean.

There was a bit of confusion on arrival as there was no one there and the pin code I'd been given didn't work to open the door. The phone number given went to voicemail and the box was full so I was unable to leave a message. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful though and the hotel contacted me later via text to make sure everything was okay.
