Incredible staff, very accommodating, lovely bar area and they really were helpful. Our 1 year old daughter got a horrible case of sickness and diarrhea whilst staying. We left a do not disturb sign on the door, told the cleaners to not go in as she'd made a mess of her bed, floor, bathroom etc and we didn't expect them to deal with that. Whilst we went out to get cleaning stuff, and prepare for a family wedding, they went in and completely deep cleaned the room. They were Absolutely phenomenal. Gave us full usage of a private lounge room for us all to get ready and the beer garden area is lovely.

The building doesn't have any ramps or a lift, so if you have any mobility issues or a double pram for twins, or two infants etc, maneuvering around the hotel can be troublesome. If you're fit enough to lift the pram however, you're golden.

This is how hotels for for motorcycle travels should be. The owner/manager Dave is a real character and I am guessing that the tour that he gave upon our arrival is given to everyone. He takes real pride in showing you the facilities available for you and your bike. I was able to book 2 motorcycle sheds for overnight parking although I'm sure that the gated parking area is very secure on it's own with full CCTV. Dave also has a vast knowledge of the area and routes for travel in order to get the best out of your visit to the area. The room was a good size and the staff are very friendly and helpful. tea making facilities in the room, so you can have a nice cuppa whenever you fancy it, although there is a well stocked and cosy bar area on the ground floor. The breakfast was fantastic with more than ample portions. A selection of fried food or cereals is available. Dave, if you're reading this, you deserve an award for the best hotel for motorcycle touring. This little gem really made our trip special. I can't wait to get back again soo. Lovely little town with shops and a great fish and chip shop.

If you're a biker looking for a great place to stay, this hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I could tell I was going to have a great stay. The hotel has a large secure parking area with motorbike storage (if needed) so it was reassuring to know my bike would be safe and sound overnight. The staff were friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in hearing about my journey down from Skye. Although I didn't explore the area as I was on my way home, the hotel is an ideal base for exploring winding roads and the stunning landscapes and views. Infact they even had a map room to plan your routes. As for food, there was plenty of choice and the cozy bar area was ideal area to unwind and chat to fellow bikers; the breakfast was also excellent. Last but not least I'd like to thank the owner and his son for spending so much time helping me sort my bike out after it wouldn't start. I'll certainly be staying here again. Cheers.

I have stayed in Moffat many times when motorcycling in Scotland and have normally wandered down to this place for a drink in the beer garden. This was the first time I have actually stayed here and now know that I ought really to have stayed here before. I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere so ideally set up for bikers. Great parking, all sorts of cleaning provisions are provided on a 'help yourself' basis, engine oils, snow foam, pressure washers, helemt cleaning etc etc. Add to that a drying room and map room and you get the idea of how well it's set up. Good food (dinner and breakfast) and decent beer adds to the overall satisfaction of a very very good place to stay. Dave the owner sets the tone - super helpful, sound route advice, even loaded a couple of routes on my Garmin XT - and then made sure I knew how to use some of the features on the XT unit I had never looked at. (Thanks for the route advice up to Buckie Dave). All of the staff I had contact with were first class and I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again and reccomend to others.

Nothing at all, a longer stay would have been good but this was short trip at short notice to make the most of the decent weather and so I was moving on for a few days.

Traditional market town hostelry in interesting area of SW Scotland. Rooms on 3 floors. My description of decor would be eclectic’! Unusual but interesting with murals of historic photographs. What makes the hotel exceptional is the family running the place. I have never stayed anywhere with folks so committed to helping you to enjoy the visit. From the patron through sons and family, they were all charming and attentive, full of information etc. Food was excellent, the bar has an enviable stock of malts and the room and bed very comfortable. Modern refurbished bathrooms. I also found Moffat town very interesting

We only had a one night stop over but it was perfect for what we wanted. Staff were very welcoming, the food was lovely and very generous portion sizes, nice beer garden. Rooms are no frills but perfectly clean and the beds and pillows super comfy. And there’s a nice communal room and drying room. It is set up for bikers, which I didn’t realise when booking, but would definitely return regardless if we’re ever in the area again. And when the staff say they love working there, you can’t beat that.

Very good breakfast in a lovely dining room. Although only b and b during the winter, excellent facilities for having take-away food. Very welcoming staff who were extremely helpful. Very dog friendly. The hotel is packed full of character and charm. My room was comfortable and I slept well. The wet room was great as it enabled me to give my dog a good clean after going for a walk along the river. Excellent location as Moffat is a lovely little historical town, very picturesque and near to the motorway.

I felt a little claustrophobic in the room as there was no view through the window. The room size was adequate for one but would have felt a little cramped if two people had been staying in it.

We arrived on bicycles in the pouring rain. We’d been cycling around the UK and Ireland for 6 days for charity. We were tired, hungry and soaked through. The welcome we received was quite frankly astonishingly warm, welcoming, professional. Best in class. Every single aspect of our stay was catered for. - You’re soaking wet? Yes - Well we having a superb drying room. You have wet bike? Yes - We have dry, secure storage. You’re hungry? Yes - Well we have superb food, which we can prepare right now, despite that it’s late. Do you need to charge up all your bike lights and navigation? Yes - Well we have multiple integrated USB charging points at your beside for just such a requirement. Do you need a proper hot shower? Yes - Well have outstanding rooms with superbly equipped bathrooms and power showers. We also have amazing sandalwood shower gel which is amazing after a long day in the saddle. Do you need a proper breakfast? Yes - Well we have an amazing range of breakfast choices to suit every palate and highly trained staff to serve you exactly what you order. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL HIGHLY ENOUGH. A straight 10/10

the owners and staff have gone the extra mile to provide everything a biker could possibly want or need,from individual garages,secure parking covered by cctv to,air compressor,pressure washer,cleaning kit,paddock stands,oil,map room,kit drying room, the rooms are spacious and have helmet hangers and deep shelving spaces. The bar is fully stocked and they have their own beer(which is particularly tasty) and the food from the restaurant was pretty special too

Nothing I was kinda of blown away by my experience here

This is a great hotel to stay in. The owner and his family are extremely warm and friendly and nothing is too much for them to do to make sure that your stay is great. There are brilliant facilities there for those of us with motorbikes which go above and beyond. The food is excellent and they cater very well for all allergies e.g. gluten free. We had a great stay here and even received individual 'goodbyes' from their dog. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning later this year.
