The Shaker Mill Inn was glorious. I thought that it would be relatively standard, run-of-the-mill stay on our way home and it was anything but that. The extra attention to details was spectacular. It is a pet friendly location...and there were hooks by the door for leashes. The blackout blinds covered not just the windows, but also the stained glass in the room door. Boot/shoe scrapers after a day in the woods. The breakfast provided was a feast of options and tastes. There was even a small sewing kit in the closet...along with an emergency flashlight! And the grounds were lovely. Quiet nooks and corners to sit and enjoy being outside with the bunnies and birds. Everywhere you looked you saw another detail that showed the depth of care and commitment that the owners and staff have. I would love to go back (and probably will) to stay longer. It was an unexpected and truly outstanding treat to stay there.

The owner / host was very gracious, he responded quickly when additional items for the room were requested. The location was perfect for attendening our events and sightseeing the surrounding town and historic sites. Exceptional Place to Stay!

I feel there was not enough Protien offered / afailabe for for the serve yourself in the room Breakfast, the pastries and muffins were delicious, however need some additonal protien to balance out the morning breakfast. A Boiled Egg or meat option each day would have been nice.

we only spent one night at the Inn. Wish we had more time to stay longer. We both enjoyed everything about our stay. The room was meticulous and welcoming. It had absolutely everything we needed ......the breakfast choices were delicious and just enough and it was so enjoyable being able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in our room without having to go out for breakfast. We would 100% recommend this Inn while visiting Stockbridge. The location is perfect and quiet !! Close to any of the wonderful shops, restaurants etc.......

Nothing at all !!

The Shaker Mill Inn was absolutely a beautiful, cozy stay. Wonderfully quiet spot close to everything Stockbridge, Great Barrington and the rest of the southern Berkshires has to offer. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and thoroughly enjoyed the gas fireplace, tasty breakfast treats and the huge hot tub! We booked an in-suite couples massage that was lovely as well. The owners were warm and inviting and even called us when we accidentally left a necklace in the room after checkout. We would love to come visit again!

Honestly the only negative for us was the bed was a very firm spring mattress! A softer mattress is simply our own preference. Everything else about the room was fantastic!

The property is lovely, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast idea of refilling your fridge each morning rather than dining in a dining room fit our needs just fine as it allowed flexibility as to timing of meals and also left some food for later in the day after returning from exploring the area.

Nothing, liked everything

The inn is charming with a beautiful garden and lawn for sitting & relaxing. Being so close to the village of West Stockbridge, allows for easy strolling. The rooms are spacious and offer a homey feeling. The owner is friendly & helpful. We visited Williamstown & Lenox but were happy to return to this quiet inn. We would definitely stay here again.

Our only complaint comes from my husband who found the bed too soft.

Unbelievable clean, beautiful, and outstanding place. I am very particular re cleanliness in hotel rooms so I was amazed by this outstanding suite we got. Absolutely 💯 lovely greenery around. Big windows. Kitchenette equipped with numerous products one wouldn't expect at all in a B/B. In the hallway there is a big dvd library, box games and books. We ride 🏍 it was raining all day and night, the morning we left, there were 4 towels on the bike 🏍 just for drying it before we leave!

The queen bed. We are used for a king bed... at home. But, that's all.

The egg bagel and fruit for breakfast were great. Bathroom and shower were very good. Beds very comfy. Everything nice and clean. Friendly owner. Ample parking and great restaurant nearby.

The lock to the patio/parking area felt a bit unsafe. Maybe the neighborhood is very safe there but we are not used to it. Staying on the second floor would have felt safer probably so maybe we'll request that a next time.

The inn-keepers were friendly and welcoming. They granted our every request with a smile. The breakfast was prepared and individually wrapped so all we had to do was warm up in microwave, and enjoy! Room was well equipped.

Everything was great. I can’t think of anything that we could not get.

The Breakfast was great. Just enough to start your day. The best part was the breakfast was already in the room. There was no need to leave the room & get breakfast. Some places we stayed you had to wait in line. But all in all John & patti do a great job. We will book another stay very soon. Like my wife said NOT SOON ENOUGH. Thats explains our time @ Shaker Mill. Joe Shrewsbury
