We arrived home only yesterday and I am missing this place already. The view accross the lake was a joy to wake up to each morning. The hotel and staff were excellent. Kindness is their motto which comes across in all that they do. Breakfast was plentiful and exceptional, I am definitely missing that but my waistline perhaps not! The welcome talk when we arrived was a really good touch as well as the bottle of wine in our room. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable

The main thing for us was that restaurants were not in walkable distance (apart from one which was reachable by walking along a main road). The situation of the hotel by a beautiful lake though more than compensated for that.

Location is convenient to both Lenox and Lee. The venue is wonderful! A patio above the lake to sit, enjoy a bottle of wine, and watch the clouds roll by, the sunset, fishermen, and paddle boarders. There's a private beach and a lawn area for sitting around the firepit. "Kindness" is exactly like its sister inn, The Cornell in Lenox. Welcome greeting with a complimentary glass of sangria, immaculate room, and goat cheese frittata, Kurt's favorite bacon, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee for breakfast. We stayed in Room 14 on the ground floor and were warned it was small it could be noisy. It is fine for a couple staying one or two nights (roomy, comfy bed) and any "people noise" was after we were awake in the morning and well before we fell asleep at night. After a long day outside, the shower with bath products and extra towels was a welcome relief.

Booked a Double Room with Lake View: Room 14 is small, the lake view is when the patio is empty, no access from the room to a porch and, since you're on the ground floor next to the walkway to access the patio, your "lake view" window blind will be closed most of the time. I wouldn't describe this as a "double room".

The lakehouse inn exceeded all expectations for us. They included a complimentary bottle of wine in our room which was such a nice touch! We had a lake view so there was an outdoor wrap around porch you could walk out on every morning. We had a keurig in our room with all the coffee necessities. The room was clean and there was a lot of space in the common area to lounge, play board games etc. Breakfast was so delicious- it was a menu style breakfast (not like a continental breakfast buffet)- they had french toast, egg frittata, lox bagel etc. They had a complimentary drink from 3-5 everyday too. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. This was a wonderful retreat in a beautiful town.

The staff were ALL welcoming, friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and I while I didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy the complimentary bottle of wine in my room, it was a lovely touch. The written communication from the Inn to guests was stellar - from the WiFi password to the instructions on the cooling/heating for the room, etc. The shower and shampoo/conditioner & shower gel products were great; the bed comfy; the air conditioning powerful; the outside deck and lake views very special and good to soothe my NYC soul!

Exceptionally personalized service right from the moment we got there. Hot cider with rum if we preferred it that way, before we even started the check-in process. Cognac tasting that evening. Full custom breakfast in the morning. All at no extra cost. Beautiful bathroom with glass shower. Everything worked well, it was warm, and it had a very nice and quiet sitting room. Small bar and adequately sized dining room. This was the nicest place I've ever stayed.

Nothing really comes to mind that could be improved.

The property is beautiful and located directly on the lake. Our room was spacious with excellent views of the lake from several sides including a large balcony. The bedding was comfortable as were the couches. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our welcome hot ciders and nightly nightcap plus the bottle of wine waiting in our rooms. The breakfasts were wonderful (my favorite was the broccoli and cheese quiche!). Being winter the restaurant was closed, of course, but there were plenty of dining options nearby.

The only thing I would caution is that it is an old building so you will hear people walking overhead. In our case it was the rest of our group so not a problem but something to keep in mind.

Our stay at the Lakehouse Inn was SO lovely. We received complimentary cider upon arrival, along with a free bottle of wine. The complimentary pastries and tea, along with the amazing breakfast selection (ordering from a menu!) really made us feel cozy and welcome. The rooms were very tidy and cute (would recommend the lake view suites!), and the staff was so kind. I came in the winter, but I would definitely come in the summer as well, since they're the only inn with exclusive access to the lake, with kayaks/other water sport items for their residents only :) I'm so glad we chose this over a typical hotel experience. It also had very convenient access to many different towns & places to visit in the Berkshire area!

It would be nice if I could log into my streaming services via the TV, but since we were there to disconnect it wasn't a huge deal!

Fantastic old colonial property! Beautifully adapted to support modern hotel expectations yet retaining the quirky charm. The views across Lake Laurel are amazing and the patios and verandas make the most of them. Did I mention the fall colours?!!!

I’m not a fan of firm pillows and these were a bit old. Seems ridiculous given the luxury every where else! The air con is pre set at winter but it was a late hot October so we were too hot.

Breakfast was good and choices were offered. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the setting on the lake was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the balcony outside our room. Also Lakehouse is well located and it was easy to get to all the sites we wanted to visit.

The only real drawback for us was the fact that the sink was in the bedroom, not the bathroom. It was inconvenient and uncomfortable.

Located on a beautiful lake , spacious room and really terrific breakfast outside looking over the lake. Very close to Tanglewood and beautiful town of Lenox. Also a bottle of red wine and Keurig coffee complementary with the room.

The rooms while spacious were plain and in general the interiors could be a bit more updated. However everything was so comfortable that it made up for the lack of decoration.
