The room was very beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The staff was lovely, helpful with anything we needed, and very courteous. The hotel’s location is excellent—within walking distance from the Taj Mahal and relatively quiet.

The things that were less successful for us: in the shower, the water spills out and is difficult to drain. The rooftop pool is very beautiful, but the chemicals used left a very sour taste in the water, almost burning, and they stained our swimsuits. This was a less pleasant experience for us, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that we really enjoyed the hotel overall.

This was my first Taj experience, and many things were truly commendable like their eco-conscious approach. I had specifically mentioned while booking that I did not want plastic water bottles in my room, and requested a steel or glass jar or a reusable glass bottle instead. They paid close attention to the request and thoughtfully placed glass bottles in the room. I was also informed that within the next 4–5 months, they are planning to remove the use of single-use plastic completely. I hope so, as in their dining area they are still serving small plastic water bottles. The breakfast was great.. lots of variety Very attentive and friendly staff… after checking out, I had to wait for about an hour in the lobby, and the staff member on duty at the time remained courteous and attentive, even though I had already checked out. The location is absolutely amazing. To summarise it was indeed a lovely experience. :) Wah Taj

Our recent stay at Hotel Taj Agra was nothing short of spectacular! It was meant to be a quick weekend retreat, but the wonderful experience we had made it feel like a true vacation. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with elegant interiors and lush surroundings. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with all modern amenities. What stood out to us was the play area and family-friendly vibe — our kids had a fantastic time, which meant we could truly relax. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Special thanks to Ms Sharmistha Chakraborty The icing on the cake was undoubtedly the evening event “Noor-e-Taaj”. We had heard a bit about it beforehand, but it far exceeded our expectations. Mr. Subrata Bhattacharya, the host and performer, was absolutely phenomenal. His charismatic stage presence, combined with his spot-on mimicry, humor, and amazing singing talent, especially his renditions of Kishore Kumar classics, left everyone in awe. His ability to connect with the audience and keep the energy high was truly impressive. It was clear that we were witnessing a seasoned performer with a deep passion for music and entertainment. It was a cultural evening filled with laughter, music, and a strong nostalgic touch, which made our trip even more memorable. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers luxury, fun for the whole family, and a unique cultural experience, look no further than Hotel Taj Agra. We’re already planning our next visit — and yes, attending “Noor-e-Taaj” again is a must on our list!

Memorable Family Stay at Taj Hotel, Agra We stayed at the Taj Hotel in Agra to celebrate our parents' wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. The staff went above and beyond to make the occasion special — from a warm welcome to a beautifully arranged anniversary surprise in the room. The hotel is stunning and luxurious, yet very family-friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food — every meal was delicious, with a great variety to suit everyone's preferences. The view of the Taj Mahal, the excellent hospitality, and the thoughtful touches made our trip truly unforgettable. The best hotel we have ever stayed in with a warm and wonderful welcoming embracing us to their culture leaving us feel very special. All of the staff are so polite, kind, and friendly - always greeting you and ensuring your needs are met. The rooms are stunning, and received a complimentary upgrade on arrival which we are extremely grateful for! The pools are great, with two to choose from and we particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool with a great bar menu and more importantly amazing views, including the Taj! There was one man in particular who excitedly greeted us every time entering and exiting the hotel, which unfortunately I did not get his name but he wore a red turban and had a beautiful moustache - thank you! And most importantly Asim made out last day seamless, ensuring our luggage was well kept after checkout whilst we enjoyed our final hours in Agra. He insisted on carrying all of our luggage, and gave us a wonderful send off. Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel, there were many more interactions to share with the amazing staff but will keep those fond in our memories. If we return to Agra we will rebook this hotel in a heartbeat! Very highly recommend 😊

Nice lobby, personnel, good Indian restaurant on lobby floor and nice lounge on top. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Breakfast is very good. The only dissatisfaction was the gym. The gym at this hotel does not meet the expected standards. The mirrors are smudged, the equipment is greasy and dirty, and the elliptical machine is out of order. The air conditioning only has a high setting, which makes it uncomfortable—either too cold or too hot when turned off. Additionally, the two very basic mats were stained, as if the staff overlooks the cleanliness. Management should take responsibility for maintaining these facilities, as it reflects directly on their oversight. In hotels, the demand for quality is often linked to the effectiveness of the managers and their attention to detail.

This is a lovely well-located hotel that is about 20 mins walk from the Taj Mahal. While it does not have the same impressive public areas and leisure facilities as the Taj Mahal hotel in Delhi, the staff have the same high level of training and this was evident in the lady who checked us in, Catherine, who provided us drinks and a relaxing place to sit during checking then showed us to our rooms and refused a tip - which was a first in India. Overall, a well-located and good value hotel for visiting the Taj Mahal.

There was some water-staining in both of our rooms which we felt should have been fixed.

Excellent choice for breakfast. Infinity pool on rooftop was lovely and food in the restaurant there was excellent. Overall, a beautiful hotel and I'd certainly recommend it. Staff were superb and very attentive.

Some of the carpets along the corridors needed a vacuum. Shower in our suite was huge, but we couldn't get it to work properly. Two temperature settings, cold and boiling. There was no in between. We got maintenance to look at it and it looked like they fixed it, but following morning back to same again. This wouldn't put me off staying here again though as any hotel can have small issues like this.

Location is about a 10-minute drive to the Taj Mahal and fort. Hotel room was very spacious and clean all over. There was no shortage of any facilities. Very comfortable The gym was very good with a variety of machines and free weight areas and areas for yoga. Food was excellent. I would consider including dinner when booking as there are only small road side cafes walking distance. Buffet service with a huge variety of veg and non veg food. What struct me most was the attentive of the staff they definitely wanted you have a good experience from the door service to reception and the restaurants. But even where they saw you they stopped to say hello and ask if you needed help. Very impressive.

The staff members were very good. Tanmoy and Santanu at the Indian restaurant (Forgot the name) were simply excellent. They deserve Special mention amongst your other staffmemebers.

The room size was not worth the money. I had suggested some simple improvements to make the small rooms to become a little more comfortable: Add some hooks at the bath door or specific locations for hanging towels and/or clothing in the bathroom. There is only one towel rack. Room size was depressing. I do not know how can you make it better except by making two rooms as one by breaking the room separating wall or something like that.
