The accommodation was in perfect convenience location and the staff and owner was accommodating and kind. The breakfast at the bakery Cafe de Beau was delicious. We’ll definitely return.

Nothing as everything was perfect :)

The room is very spacious and very comfortable, and we really liked the yukata set provided to walk around the town. The public onsen is located just a few minutes from the hotel. Unfortunately, the check in procedure was very confusing, because you have to check into a cafe and then walk to the actual place. The guidance for how to reach the room was difficult to understand, and it was really frustrating to walk around with luggage while trying to understand the directions. I wish they had provided a Google maps coordinate instead.

Room is bigger than city hotels in Osaka and Kyoto.... walking distant to the onsen places...

We got lost trying to find out HOW to Check In!! Note that you will need to go to a shop/restaurant to get the check-in passcode, etc... it was not easy if you arrive late and cant Japanese. Check-out will be done at the restaurant nearby too... Hope can improve by providing these details in the bookings so that its easlier for international travelers.

It was very spacious and had all the facilities I needed. The bed was very comfortable and it was in a quiet location. It is very close to one of the Onsens.

The location was really difficult to find. I didn't read the instructions about checking in at the cafe so was looking for the hotel for a long time. It gets very bright in the morning because the blinds are not light blocking

Value for money. Compare to the other ones in the area. Room is big compared to other Japanese hotels. Sparkling clean. I like it does not need access card for entry. Just electronic keypad password. Close by to the Gold onsen public bath with 3 mins walk.

A bit difficult to find the right place. Esepcially night time. We cicrled around 2 times at first. Check in location changes depending on your arrival time.. it could be at the cafe or it could be another hotel nearby. 30 steps up to the location. So make sure you pack light for the stay. For parking, they do valet parking for you when you check in. When we check out they got a shuttle to drive you to a parking lot 10 mins away from the hotel.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable stay. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast and afternoon tea, both of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The location is also fantastic—it's just a three-minute walk to the public hot springs, making it incredibly convenient. Overall, a great experience, and I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Parked our car at the car park indicated by hotel and there's a shuttle bus waiting there to pick us up after we parked the car. Location of hotel is good, close to the attractions and just beside a geiko cafe where you get to watch geiko dances at 12pm. When we checked out at Goshobo, the hotel arranged a shuttle bus to drop us off at the car park to collect our car

Need to climb a few flights of stairs after checking in at Cafe de Beau to get to the hotel room. This is unavoidable as the whole town is not on even terrain

Location right in the start of the shopping street. Though its after a fleets of stairs but there's another path that's of flat land to walk from. Room very clean and comfortable. As we had 2 rooms for 4 of us, we were provided 2 different rooms of different buildings, which wasnt far off. So we get to experience both rooms. Though not the average ryokan style stay as with most lodgings in Arima where most are halfboard, this lodge serves the purpose for me and my aged folks as it's near the shopping street and can be accessed by wheelchair though with a slope. Its a nice walk distance to the gold onsen.

One of the room we have likely not been able to insulate from the cold well or the heater had been overworked. Come one of the night, it was very cold even though we set the heater to 30deg.

Location was right smack in the middle of the town. Food options just 2 mins stroll away and to one of the onsen bath house too. Staff were very helpful and even helped lugged my luggages up the steps from the reception (bakery shop) to my hotel room about 3 mins away.

It may be hard to find as the hotel doesn't really standout. But follow the instructions on arrival given by the hotel. If you are driving over, you will need to locate the Alimaya carpark which is not easy to locate. From the car park, you will have transport waiting to send you to the hotel reception. But once you get sorted out, all is great!

April 2023 2 day, 1 night. Exceeded expectations! Hotel was modern tatami style, our room was very clean (I'm very picky on that), and Onsen hot spring facilities next day were amazing (heart of Japan's oldest hot spring town). So convenient they allow us to drop off luggage first at cafe while we explored before check in. The free morning drinks at the cafe were a plus and we enjoyed the street food next door(Osake manju, beef/onion croquettes, and chicken spice karage are a must try). Also enjoyed the hot spring guide, pajamas, and towels/amenities. Not only did I feel comfortable (difficult for me being OCD), felt very taken care of here! Thank you to kind ryokan hotel manager and staff, hope to come back soon!!!!!

Nothing, I really prioritize newer / clean spaces and this place had what I needed. It made the stay very comfortable for me as someone who has a hard time feeling at home in new locations/beds due to OCD. Slept very safe and sound.
