The best advantage of the hotel is its location. It is very close to the train station. The staff were also friendly and helped me when I asked for an early check-in. It was clean and in general, I liked it.

The old building and its poor sound insulation. I had a long journey and wanted to sleep soon. But, unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from other rooms and it disturbed me at night. They kept talking till midnight and I could not sleep well. I think there should be some regulations regarding silence during night time. Or, they could do some renovations in order to improve the sound insulation of the walls in such old buildings.

I liked location of the hotel - extremely easy to reach it from the central station of Bamberg, I did it by foot without any difficulty even with my trolley. At the same time it is reasonably close to the city center, old town, and several important spots. Markets are around and easy to access as well. Room itself was cozy enough to enjoy one's staying for 4 days. My room shared 2nd-3rd floor (with the bedroom and bathroom on the 3rd floor) and it was an interesting experience. But this did not change anything in terms of views from the room which in general is not an essential problem in Bamberg.

I wish gowns and slippers to be added to the room facilities, because they are usually part of the basic needs of any tourist.

The location is perfect, 15 minutes walk to the old city. Room was clean and comfortable.

The check-in process. We came at 4pm and found a note on the front door that the reception was closed on that day and that we should call. And nobody was picking up initially. I’m the meantime the hotel sent a message with clear instructions for the check-in (except parking and wifi access) but I was driving for a couple of hours so wasn’t aware of that. The staff could have simply added on the front door: ‘please check your email for instructions’ to avoid unnecessary stress. Also the breakfast could be improved, not worth the price we paid.

I think I had the largest room on the floor which had a lounge and was very spacious. The rooms were lovingly modernised and welll appointed. My room even had an old writing desk. The hotel is located on the main street in to the city centre and very convenient for train travellers as only about 5 minutes from the train station on foot. The hotel is local and had a lovely local touch.

The only not picky thing is that the wifi was a bit spotty in this older building. Otherwise everything was great.

-the glass in the shower was pretty small/narrow which made taking shower quite difficult (especially with a leaky head)

It was a great location in the city. The family suite had tons of room and a beautiful view!!

-Located in a heavily middle eastern populated area. -breakfast price was a bit high for what was available.-we went to the bakery down the street for a much better value and similar food!

Breakfast was delicious. The bed was comfortable. The location was great. The room was functional but way too small. I was grateful to find staff that were helpful.

The room was very small especially for two people. There was noise outside on the street at 1:00. Under the bed was dusty. The shower should have better drainage and a place to put your shower gel.

We did not have breakfast so cannot comment. The room had a lovely view over the roofs of the town. The hotel is well-placed for train travellers, as i is a straight walk from the station of less than 5 minutes. The old town (main attraction) is a 15-20 minute walk but, without luggage, this is not a problem. The hotel has a lift, which may older hotels do not.

In a Great Location and super helpful and friendly staff I had an incident with my card being blocked and was unable to pay for the room until I could contact my bank and with a time difference of 8 hrs it was a tricky situation. Thankfully the front desk agent Sven was very patient and helpful with the situation as I was in a panic. He managed to problem solve and work out a solution in a professional manner. Extremely happy with the service :) Would stay again.

Great location. Close to the station and to the pedestrian shopping district and historical city center. All in walking distance. The hotel staff is very friendly. Very good breakfast. Room is very clean, and a nice modern bathroom.

Rooms are small. So enough reason to get out and explore the beautiful city of Bamberg.
