Kowie River Chalets exceeded all expectations with its luxurious rooms and top-notch service. During our stay the experience was exceptional. The rooms were not only beautifully appointed and spotless but also offered unparalleled comfort. The staff's attentive and personalized service truly set this accommodation apart as one of the best we've ever enjoyed.

The stairs to the beach and the one to the poolside need some revamp as they are not level. Otherwise everything was perfect, we're definitely coming back next year.

My kids loved the pool. It's a shame the 1st 2 days it was green so I didn't allow them to.swim. after it was clean we all enjoyed it. The Jacuzzi was a bonus. Our apartment was beautiful and well equipped.

Apartment door front door key wouldn't work but because it's an enclosed complex with security I never felt unsafe plus the burglar door worked. It should be fixed though.

I loved everything about the place, location ✔️, cleanliness ✔️, personnel ✔️ they were amazing, the setup ✔️… definitely coming back

I wish management can come up with a plan to install some warning up equipment in the living area to make it more comfortable and enjoyable as it was quite chilly…. Otherwise everything was on point, we had a lovely weekend stay and would love to go back .

Beautiful location. It rained during our stay but we still had plenty to do at the resort. Swimming, jacuzzi, played lots of pool. I would definitely go back when it's not raining to experience it more. Chalets even have netflix so when the weather got really bad, we all got together to watch movies.

It rained into the bedrooms through small openings by the doors. Staff tried their best to assist but there wasn't much they could do in the rain.

For what we could see because we came late and left early it looked just fine 🙂

What I didn't appreciate was that we tried to move our booking to the next day reason we didn't take in account the distance between Durban and Port alfred. We received a message that it wouldn't be possible after explaining our situation. We had to navigate dangerous road conditions and do dangerous speeds we where almost robbed in Transkei...just not to loose our booking...I suppose rules is rules right...

The lady Pumla , helped me very kindly and was exceptional at briefing us on the area and the Chalets. The view from our balcony was beautiful The facilities were clean and well maintained. Our chalet was spotless and everything is provided , including house help

The rooms were fully equipped,friendly staff and the place is child friendly.

No aircon or fans and it was super hot,couldn't sleep with windows open because of mosquitoes. The pool was not clean for our entire stay

We loved the lay out, 3 bedrooms for the famiy. Comfy beds, lovely sofa watching tv. Quite impressed with the sturdy,wooden furniture. Overall a beautiful place.

The only let down was the whole lot of stairs leading up to our "house" . Especially when we left the next morning, as it was raining heavily. Had to tread carefully.

The self catering chalets are in a beautiful location. Each room of ours had a view of the sea. They are well kept. The resort is kind enough to give you a supply of drinking water. We needed laundry done and they even organized someone to do it for us at a small fee. The security guard at night is thorough. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Pumla at reception was friendly. The facilities are clean and well kept. We felt safe in the area.

The windy weather and bluebottle fish ruined our day at the beach.
