An older Hotel with large comfortable family suite comprising (2 doubles +1 single) with large bathroom double sink bath/shower combination and separate WC. Plenty of room to move about. Kettle/tea making facility provided iron & ironing board on request. Located in the centre of Pau. Large open car park nearby less than 2 Euro for overnight parking charge.

I would suggest availability of a non slip mat for the bath/shower combination to reduce risk of slipping in shower.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it for seven days. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and courteous. Hotel Gramont offers a very nice breakfast and there are three restaurants steps from the front door of the hotel. There is a very large park less than ten minutes walk from the hotel. In the opposite direction ten minutes walk from the hotel one will find the city center. Clean, centrally located, and courteous, I highly recommend this hotel.

I thought there would be a bar open at the hotel. The pictures suggest such.

We had a family room which was perfect. Whilst we were only three, it could easily accommodate five. The hotel's located in an attractive square near to many of the main attractions of Pau. If arriving by train, take the funicular up and use Google maps from there. It's not far at all. The staff were helpful. We had a bicycle which we needed to leave in the luggage room. The continental breakfast was fine. There were some good eateries nearby.

Hotel Gramont is perfectly located in the heart of Pau and for the price it’s very acceptable, clean and comfortable. Since Pau is an ‘outdoor’ destination, the hotel was just for sleeping and it fills that role beautifully.

Not really a critique but I like sleeping with the window open and since my room faced a street it was a bit noisy. With the window closed it was nearly noiseless.

Charming hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Clean and well-appointed bathroom. Comfortable bed. Aircon worked well. Would definitely stay there again.

Room and bath a bit small but seemed appropriate in a very old, charming building.

Good value room, breakfast very good, parking outside if you are lucky or 3 euros a night in the large Place de Verdun a couple of minutes walk away if not. Some new carpets stacked by the lifts and ready to be laid suggests the hotel is getting a refurb.

We had an unispired 'courtyard' view.

The hotel is an old establishment with a certain charm in a very central location. The staff were very friendly and the comfortable room with en suite bathroom and AC was very much appreciated.

The hotel could do with updating, it's a bit shabby around the edges. I don't think there was an elevator which might be a problem for some guests.

Old school hotel in central location. Our room was good size with comfy bed and pillows. Very close to the palace. Highly recommend the large covered food market!

I contacted the property in advance to confirm parking arrangements but they didn’t reply until after we left! we parked in Place Verdun South for 3 Euros on the advice of a reviewer, about 400 m walk from the hotel. Upon arrival realised that we could have parked directly in front of the hotel.

Great location and room was quiet even though in the centre of town. Not 5 star but good value for money.

Place is a little rustic but seem to be making a good effort to keep things clean and the staff are good.

Location good, a short walk up a hill to the town. Big family room. Air conditioning. Good old features in the room. Spacious shower room. More than comfortable for 4. Receptionist was lovely and very welcoming.

The air conditioning was a bit noisy and hard to control.
