The staff are just amazing. Special mention to Marlon at 5 Cien. Just the fact that so many staff memorised my name made it special. Hotel and all facilities spotless. Breakfast and shower are highlights. Lots to do without leaving hotel. Food and hostess at DIP Restaurant. Cocktails at the pool. Faultless service despite there being MANY guests.

Small gripes: rooms generally quiet except for corridor noise: children, noisy cleaning staff, banging doors, personal wake-up/ room service calls to neighbours at 3 in the morning. Also a very noisy aircon - thankfully the weather was such that I was able to switch it off.

Sheraton Mactan was our last stop before flying back home after a month long holiday in the Philippines. We stayed for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. Check in was a breeze, we were allowed to check-in and get into our room early. Greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a cute little shell bracelet. Our room was set-up for honeymooners and we also received a lovely cake with Happy Honeymoon written on it. Great facilities, beach, swimming pools and restaurants to choose from! Also not to forget the very relaxing massage treatment we had in Sheraton Spa! We enjoyed the amazing breakfast and dinner buffet that we had in 5 Cien Restaurant. A lot of food choices and the great atmosphere of the place. Buhi Cave Bar is also a must try! We had the Friday Grill Night and enjoyed it most especially the seafoods. Went inside the bar of course to experience the unique cave setting with some lovely night cap drinks. And most importantly, the great gastronomic experience in Dip Nikkei Restaurant. Thank you Chef Daniel who even spoke to us whilst we dined and to Loeh who served us for being so lovely and an absolute 5 star service! We’ve stayed in several luxury hotels during our honeymoon but what really sets Sheraton Mactan apart is the staff. All the staff in the hotel have been really a delight! Very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Even the hotel manager(s) are interacting with the guests ensuring the stay has been pleasant. Fantastic staff who were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were really nice, but the “ocean view” was limited as we could mostly see the building next to us and not the ocean. Rooms were super comfy too and spacious. Breakfast and restaurants had good food. The pool is nice and the cabanas and lounges set up on the beach are comfortable and relaxing.

Downside is the location is really remote and we had to call and wait for a taxi each time which made each trip out of the hotel really long (abt an hour or more each time). This is due to the distance and also the roads are only one lane and there is traffic. There are no shops outside the resort (such as 711) so this is inconvenient. If you are happy to stay in the resort and only do limited shopping and sight seeing then this hotel is ideal.

Best staycation experience as a solo traveler. The facilities are so clean and well-maintained. Loved all the staff, especially their mabuhay gesture every time they see you. If you need quiet time and relaxing atmosphere, this is the place. They accommodated all my requests including my late check out till 4pm and my spa appointment after check out as I have several hours to kill till my flight back to Manila. I love the vibe in their Buhi Bar as well as the spa experience. Thank you Sheraton for such an amazing stay. Thank you to Ms. Sweet of front desk, Ms. Rosemarie and Ms. Rosario of the spa. Will definitely check in here again when I return to Cebu.

Booking Grab proved to be difficult considering the hotel is in the farthest part of the island. At any rate, the hotel can get you a cab, just note that there is an additional P100 on top of your final taxi rate

Very clean and the staff was very hospitable.

You could get a triple room (two queens), as opposed to the Shangri-La down the road. Wifi was good. View was good. Beach was average. Bathroom was well-designed.

Decor lacked personality. Rooms were way overpriced for what the resort offered, but all the resorts nearby were similarly overpriced. I’m not sure why you’d stay at Maclan Island, when places with more natural beaches are available at a fraction of the price.

Kind personal. You feel like a royal everyone greeting you (to me, was bit too much, but that's personal preference). The rooms are spacious with bathtub, nice view, big shower etc. Perfectly comfortable.

Small and steep beach. Only for relaxing, not made for a walk. Missed some place for evening get together, like an area to dance and talk. But perfect when you only want to have romantic couples evening. Pricy food. They try to sell everything extra. Tried to get a single apple once. Was some hassle. As far as I get it, it's also not allowed to bring food from outside (like grab or groceries you buy). You need to find out everything on your own, e.g. there is fish food for free to lure fish and watch them.

My staycation at Sheraton Cebu was the highlight of my Cebu trip, thanks to the exceptional staff who were warm, accommodating, and always greeted me with a smile. Their hospitality made my stay truly memorable. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, reflecting the hotel's newer status with well-maintained and modern amenities. The resort offers genuine relaxation by the beach. One of my favorite spots was the cave-like bar (Buhi Bar) next to the pool which was the perfect place to sip a cocktail while enjoying the beach view. They even went the extra mile to provide a complimentary bottle of wine and cake for my anniversary, which made me feel incredibly special. Overall, the Sheraton Cebu provided an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind, relax and create beautiful memories in Cebu!

However, I wish I had received a direct ocean view room as seen in the pictures, rather than an ocean view from the side. Despite this minor disappointment, the overall experience was outstanding.

Everything is spot on. I like the design of the hotel. The whole place is super clean. World class standard. Facilities are complete. The staff were very courteous and helpful. You didnt have to ask them they just compensate for whats lacking in service which was brilliant. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a magnificient view of the beach. Seperate shower and toilet with a tub was a bonus. Breakfast buffet has got loads to choose from.

Nothing to complain about.

I’m a bit of a “foodie” so was impressed with the quality (and quantity….not too much…not too little)of the food…..smoked Atlantic salmon and juicy, tasty scallops in Cebu? WOW! You certainly beat any of the restaurants in the resort just south of you.

Why oh why did you play loud, aggressive flamenco style, Gypsy Kings music in such an elegant and refined restaurant??!!! It's a Peruvian/Japanese styled restaurant so let’s keep the music in the same format? I did mention this point to the duty manager and I’m pleased that the volume was turned down for the next evening but there was still the Gypsy Kings and some other style vying for my attention at the same time! Also, the beach bar was playing loud rap “music” whilst most in the bar were Asian couples just wanting to chat quietly. I shall return!
