Marcelo was an excellent host, providing suggestions and recommendations for us whilst at breakfast. He continually checked on us each morning to see how we were and we felt very welcome. The property is in a quiet corner of Naples, and only has 4 rooms, so is very quiet inside too.

I think people only come for one or two nights; you can hear people coming in late/arriving in the early hours of the morning. Despite this, it was a great stay. Please be cautious that the property is two flights of stairs up with no elevator! Normally not an issue for us but my partner is recovering from knee surgery!

Lovely calm place to stay in the middle of a very hectic area! The B&B is a little gem hidden away at the end of a small alleyway, really close to the National Archaeological Museum. Great location to visit the historic area of Naples, with really easy access to the metro and bus lines. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself is in an old building and the outside looks a little rundown (which most of the historic area looks tbh), but inside it's modern, clean and spacious. We had a room for 4 people and we had loads of space (as a family of 4 we usually find hotels squeeze us in with hardly any place to put our bags). Small, clean ensuite bathroom. Marcello is a very gracious host and made us feel very welcome. He also communicated really efficiently with us from the moment we made the booking. We arrived on a very late flight, and he provided us with clear instructions to find the apartment (you have to look for the B&B signs to find it tucked away) and easy key access. No kettle in the room, but every day Marcello left out fruit, cake and access to the coffee machine and kettle in the breakfast room (we didn't realise until the last day unfortunately!). Highly recommended for a city stay in Naples.

They needed us to leave the room soon after breakfast so it could be cleaned. We're not a very fast family in the morning and ended up going to a cafe whilst they cleaned so we could then go back and take our time to prepare for the day ahead. They were very polite about it, and it wasn't ridiculously early though (around 10/10.30am).

Ideal location, just a 4-minute walk from the metro station and near the Museum. The apartment is situated in a classic Napoli building. While the exterior and entrance may not be the most attractive, once inside Marcello’s apartment, everything is modern and spotless. It offers a perfect setup with one double bed and two single beds, as well as a small balcony overlooking the lively and entertaining parking scene (in true Italian style) in front of the building. Despite being close to the action, the room was fairly quiet with the windows closed, as the apartment is set back a bit from the main road. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance towards Dante metro station. Marcello was a great host, offering restaurant recommendations and arranging an airport taxi. The breakfast was simple but good. Tip: A taxi to the airport costs 24 euros and takes under 20 minutes. A 7-day public transportation pass covering the whole city is just 13 euros.

Marcello is a very kind and welcoming host: he made us feel welcomed and looked after, and was very responsive to our questions, in person or by whatsapp. (I am highlighting his kindness, because we mainly encountered pretty rude staff in restaurants and shops throughout our stay in Napoli) The room was large and confortable: sleepers, bottles of water were provided and appreciated :-) We loved the lighting of the room and its high ceiling. It was super convenient to have usb sockets by the bed. The location was practical, 5 minutes walk from the metro line 1, stop Museo and just behind the archeological museum. A very lively street full of shops and restaurants was closeby and it was great to be able to just walk out for dinner.

A small detail: no elevator.

We have stayed at MAMO al Museo for 2 nights. It is right in the historic center of Napoli a few steps from 2 metro lines, but still in a quite building. The room is modern, clean and comfortable. Marcello has welcomed us with tasty Italian coffee upon arrival and arranged our parking in the parking lot right next to the building. For breakfast, there was a wide variety of food - Marcello even considered my milk intolerance and bought dairy-free products as well to choose from. There were fruits, tea, coffee and cake available to eat all day - as well as several umbrellas prepared at the door in case there would be rain. After a little plumbing issue in our room, we got an even bigger room with city view. We got a flat tire due to a puncture - our host even helped us with that by asking one of the parking lot guards to accompany us to the tire repair shop. We have never stayed in such a spotless place with such a thoughtful owner. We honestly wish we could take Marcello everywhere we travel so that he could be our host forever. :) If we return to Napoli, that is of no question we would stay here again!

We loved everything.

Marcello was invaluable. He helped me: to find a great restaurant, Osteria di Carmela; he provided a map and pointed out some popular tourist destinations and markets; and upon informing him of my very early morning departure, he ensured that a morning snack was left in my room and most importantly he arranged for my early morning taxi to the airport.

Having the entrance to my room off of the breakfast room was unusual but it was fine for me because I am an early riser. Those who want to sleep-in late may want to request one of the rooms away from the breakfast room.

Wonderful breakfast spread of pastries, breads, boiled eggs, cafe to your liking! Great location, was nice and quiet. Around the corner from wonderful MANN museum AND Museo Metro station making commuting around the city efficient. The mattress and pillows were so comfy and AC worked just fine in extremely hot temperatures. Nice restaurants within minutes walk. Just an FYI there is no elevator so you have to haul your luggage up 3 flights. I was fully aware of this when booking so no issue, just mentioning so there are no surprises and negative reviews for that. Would love to come back with entire family to spend more time in beautiful Napoli.

The host is very friendly, the apartment is very spacious and the rooms are the same. Breakfast was unexpectedly good, with a variety of local pastry, but also with eggs, ham, butter, cheese, yogurt and fruits.

The building where Mamo is situated looks very old and may scare you, but after visiting Naples you will find it to fit in the normal for the city. Same for the parking, in the interior yard, but don't hesitate, they are trustful.

We arrived at the central train station, then walked through the madness of the crowds, pulling our suitcases. we eventually made our way through a couple of narrow streets, the outside of the buildings were worn but our room was a little oasis from the chaos of Napoli. Very nicely done ! The breakfast was fabulous ! not all breakfasts are equal in Italy. Our host was warm and welcoming. Our host was awesome. Helpful, forthcoming with cappuccinos and lots of information. The room was extremely comfortable, looked over a piazza with a small balcony. 3-5 minute walk to the archaeological museum. On the day we went on a day long tour our host packed a light breakfast. He went out of his way to welcome us.

The stairs were a lot, even though we knew they were coming. We got caught in a train strike, so after 2 trains were canceled, we had to take a bus, we were exhausted! Some locals warned us about the "taxis" that were not regulated and what to look for.
