A bit pricey for a 3-star hotel with outdated rooms

I got an incredible deal on this hotel for a Friday and Saturday night. At 50 Usd a night and close to central Munich, It was a fantastic value. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the cable TV had scores of channels, and there was a full-size closet and desk in the room. I walked to the Central Train Station in 25 mins and the Central Square was 45 mind on foot. I arrived at the airport and bought a train ticket that took me to the hotel in one hour for about 14 Euro. The S8 went to East Munich station and then the U5 arrives within 5 mins walking to the hotel. When you exit the U5, walk west in the direction the train was moving until you hit the deadend. Exit left up the ramp and continue straight until you reach the Colombo Cafe. At the Cafe turn right and the hotel is on the next block on the right corner.

I had a single room so the room is much smaller than a two person room. I never use all the extra space of a full size room when traveling alone so I didn't mind. The bathroom was normal size. Despite having a wonderful mattress, my pillow was too flat and there was only one. The room was clean but the carpet was showing some wear and tear. I thought everything else was pretty great.

Location 10 mins to metro, secure parking (extra) One thing I have to say - Before booking I read reviews (I always read one star and 3 star never bother with 5 star) Some reviewers complained about a grey haired man on reception being unhelpful. I HAVE TO SAY I FOUND THE OPPOSITE. The grey haired man I dealt with was very helpful as was the young man (Vincent) who checked us in.

Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Location is good, supermarkets, restaurants, döner places and metro just around the hotel.

They should put fan to the rooms for summer months. We had our own small one with us but without that would have been almost impossible to sleep.

Good location, 2 u bahn station away from main train station. Located in a quiet neighbourhood.

Facility were basic and a bit old. The toilet was not clean when I arrive, but then the next day they cleaned it themselves. There is no kettle inside the room, i had to go down to ask for hot drinking water in the reception.

The location is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood, with bakeries and cafes within minutes walking. the metro is just around the corner and very close to the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I would suggest, is an upgrade to the mattress.

It took me few tries to close the door of my room, something's wrong with the lock.

Very friendly staff (Rico was so helpful). Perfect location for us to explore. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

A bit expensive but it was during Oktoberfest so that’s to be expected

- Location in a quiet residential area, but near metro ("U-Bahn"), 5 minute walk from Schwanthaler Hoehe or Heimeramplatz station. (or 15-20 min. walk to Main Station) You have the advantage of central location and quiet area. - Breakfast above what you expect (e.g with scrambled eggs, fruit salad in addition to the 'usual' wide range German Buffet.)
