This hotel was brilliant for a family of 5 (all adults). The room for 6 was spacious, had really comfortable beds, lockers for everyone, 2 showers and a toilet and a lovely window/door with electric blinds and a sofa. Absolutely fantastic for our 2 night stay in Munich. There was also a locked cage area for our 5 bikes in the underground parking. Unfortunately our car with roof box was more than 2m high so didn't fit, but we parked on the street across the road, 11 euros for a day and then free on Sunday. Marienplatz was 10mins by bike, the Olympiapark was 30min by bike. Hotel Augustin was clean, tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel to any travellers visiting Munich. And we would definitely stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the U bahn metro, and only two stops from the city center, which made getting around very convenient. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and feels modern and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated.

Breakfast was tasty and the hotel bar was great. However, I would have liked a bit more variety in the hot breakfast options. There were only scrambled eggs, delicious Bavarian sausages, and hard-boiled eggs. Some bacon or baked beans would have been a nice addition. A few minor things that could be improved: I missed having slippers in the room, and the soundproofing wasn’t ideal—especially around the door, where noise from the hallway was quite noticeable. Overall, I’m giving it 9 out of 10. Despite the small issues, I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I visit Munich.

This is a nice clean hotel that is also affordable. I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. As a vegan, I liked that there was a lot of fruit as part of the free breakfast buffet. A huge perk during the summer is the air conditioning that this hotel offers. We tried both walking and taking public transportation to the center of Munich. It really doesn't take much longer to walk than to take a subway to town and the walk is nice.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. The staff did give us a bucket of ice so that we could keep our drinks cold.

Very modern, new hostel/hotel very close to a Oktoberfest location and a mall. We were in a 6 bunk room as a family of 5 and had the room to ourselves. Two private showers were a nice addition and most likely very beneficial for those who book the room with strangers. As a hostel room, it is very convenient - plug ins and lights for each bunk with privacy curtains. Large individual lockers and numbered hooks in the bathroom. Breakfast was an expanded traditional European fare but is not included in the price for the 6 bunk room. We did not pay extra for the breakfast. Location is close to the main train station for easy public transport.

Parking was quite difficult. It was Frühlingsfest weekend as well as one of the largest flea markets in Germany across the street during our stay. This was unknown to us and greatly impacted the parking situation. The beds were not super comfortable - and were variable in firmness. When we asked for help with the parking situation from the front desk staff the young lady at the desk (who we had just checked in with) gave no recommendations and did not seem to care that we needed to find a parking spot. (The hotel has a parking garage but it is not able to be reserved - this is mentioned when you book the room.) Thankfully there was a young man working who was very helpful in answering questions and giving recommendations.

The six-bed family bunk room was perfect for our family of five. Our room overlooked Bavariapark, and having two showers was a bonus. Excellent location right next to Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum, Bavariapark, and Schwanthalerhöhe U-Bahn station, with restaurants in easy walking distance, and straightforward to get public transport into Munich's Aldstadt. Buffet breakfast was excellent (13€ adults, 6,50€ kids), including hot and cold options. The hotel had a modern fit out, was nice and clean, and great value too!

Only issue we had was their EFTPOS machine was working to pay our security deposit, so we had to pay cash.

We booked the Jugend-und Familienhotel Augustin based on previous excellent reviews and it did not disappoint. The hotel is located in a quiet area but close enough to walk into the centre of Munich. The hotel staff were both friendly and helpful, the quality of the bedroom accommodation was excellent as was the inclusive breakfast. If we revisit Munich in the future we would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.

We were on a family trip so ourselves with 2 kids (9yrs & 11yrs). We stayed in a suite which slept 4 very comfortably. The room was absolutely lovely, so big and spacious. The staff were so nice, couldn't have been nicer, very friendly and gave us great advice about places to eat and places to visit. The breakfast was delicious, mainly continental but some hot food too. The location of the hotel was ideal. Just a short walk to the U station, we loved the location, its a perfect base for getting around and seeing Munich It's located right across from where Octoberfest is, which now has big tents which have food, music and markets, we went twice to this area (reccomended by a lovely staff member in the hotel). My parents and brother and sister in law also stayed the same time as us and they loved it too. Its not just a family type hotel there were business people and couples there too. We will 100% be going back to this hotel, can't reccomend it enough.

Nothing. The restaurant was booked out for an event one of the nights but that wasn't a big deal really, we got a reccomendation for an Italian restaurant close by so it was no issue

The rooms were very modern and quite spacious. We had a 6 bed dorm for 5 of us and there felt like there was adequate space. The two showers was nice. The reception area was a good space to play games and have a drink at the end of the day (some games provided). Kids loved playing in the kombi van in reception which was really cool.

Daily housekeeping seemed a bit unnecessary. Budget breakfast could have had a bit more hot food - limited to only scrambled eggs and Bavarian sausages. Would have liked bacon at a minimum.

The hotel has a basement carpark which is convenient for us as we traveled by car. The location is about 20min drive from town. We like the modern design, cleanliness and the breakfast. We have 5 in our family and booked for 6 person private room which comes with 2 shower rooms though only one toilet but is separated from the shower area. There is restaurant behind the hotel which is about 5min walk so we need not drive out for dinner. There is also a museum within walking distance. A good choice for family and friends who traveled in a group and value for money.

It is a very nice family hotel located in a park. The metro station is just a 2-minute walk away, and you can reach the center of Munich in 5–7 minutes. The room was very comfortable for a family — it had two rooms and two toilets, like a small apartment. The breakfast area was also very nice. There were supermarkets and restaurants in the neighborhood. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit Munich.
