We loved how convenient the location was and easy to get to the train station for our day trips. The staff was SO HELPFUL. Their English was excellent which was great for us because our German is subpar. They helped accommodate our daughter's allergies at breakfast and even packed us a breakfast to go when our train to Paris had to leave early the day we checked out. The room was larger than expected for a city. The air conditioning in room unit was good for Europe (definitely still a little toasty for us Americans on the 4th floor). Overall I was grateful to have the unit and it was much cooler than other places we stayed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to other families.

A/C was definitely different than American AC but I thought it was overall better than most European A/C units.

I cannot express my love of this hotel! The decor was simple yet elegant, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredible. Staying here felt like staying with friends or family. The location was great as it is right beside a huge park and a 20 minute walk to the core of old town. I would come back here in a heart beat. Thank you for the incredible experience!

There was nothing that I didn’t like. If I could make a recommendation, having some sort of evening drinks/snacks to offer in the sitting room would be lovey.

The hotel is simply wonderful; I have never encountered such friendly staff—it felt as if we were staying with family. We were accommodated right upon arrival and stayed in a Suite, as we are a family of four. The room was very spacious, consisting of two bedrooms, with roomy and comfortable beds covered in crisp white linens. The room included slippers and robes, with water and coffee always available. The decor was very stylish, and I absolutely loved the design. Everything was quite simple yet done with impeccable taste. The location is excellent—in a quiet area yet close to the train station (a 12-minute walk).

I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like; everything was perfect for us. Perhaps for a longer stay and with more belongings, it would be nice to have a dresser with shelves, as there are no wardrobes. And maybe a mini-fridge as well. You could say these are nice to have.

Good breakfast, with helpful service. Lovely room - we were the first to be in it after renovation so it was very clean and sparkling. Comfortable, clean and quiet. The weather was unseasonably cold (sleet and snow in September!) but we were able to adjust the heating and ac so we were lovely and warm.

The window could have had some sort of blind or net as it was possible for people working opposite to see in. So it meant that we had to keep curtains closed when in the morning when it would have been nice to have natural light. Another very little point: the great new safe for valuables is left open. It is built into the wooden bench/sofa. As the drawer sticks out at shin level it is easy to walk into the open drawer, and the only way to keep it closed is to put in a code. If you don't use it for your valuables, it would be easy to leave the room without entering the code to unlock it.

Hotel Uhland is a beautifully decorated period property in a fabulous leafy location, close to the train station. We stayed in a large room with a lovely view overlooking the street. The double bed and sofa bed were exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast room is a very charming and comfortable airy space. Breakfast was the usual continental selection and the coffee was good. Lovely staff helped to contribute to the pleasant, relaxed ambience of the hotel. We'd be happy to stay here again.

Beautifully redone little hotel, 5 minutes walking from the Octoberfest, yet still quiet - perfect for a visit. The breakfast was lovingly done, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Only caveat: if you are very tall ask for a room with a big bed. We had to change rooms because my 196cm husband and I (179cm) could barely fit into the bed. The lobby toilet needed a key that was at the reception. I think that needs to be easily accessible.

Bedroom furniture and decor is beautiful and stylish. Breakfast was varied and very good, with lots of fruit. Building is pretty and in a nice neighborhood, a 20 or so minute walk to main sights. Has parking, which is very convenient.

The hotel is a good fit for those who prefer sleek and polished accommodations to charm and character. We’re more in the latter category, but that’s entirely personal preference.

Large, attractive, clean and comfortable room in a beautifully renovated building in a quiet and leafy neighborhood. The hotel serves a nice breakfast. Pleasant staff. No room service or other amenities, but that was fine for our 2 night sightseeing visit. Easy walk from the train station.

Not a negative for us, but it is approximately one mile from the old town center. That was fine with us because we like to walk.

Lovely room, well appointed with high ceilings and room for all our luggage. Toiletries smelled beautiful! Bathrobe was very welcome too. Breakfast was German/Euro and very good. The staff were lovely as well. Not too far from Central Station (you can walk) and the Old Town in a quiet leafy street. Reception staff bi-lingual and very helpful. Would stay again.

Towels were a little small and the travel size hairdryer not great but both adequate.

Beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff. Our room was wonderful with every amenity we could need. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very attentive, the owners daughter was working that morning making drinks and we spoke with her for a bit. She was extremely friendly and helpful! We were there for Oktoberfest and you would be hard pressed to find a better location for the festivities! Overall highly recommended and my wife and I look forward to our next stay.
