loved the breakfast at this small hotel. super to my taste:) lots of bread and cheese choices and more health options. the room was a bit small and looked at the parking spot but had a bath tub which was lovely to relax after a long day's walk in the snow:) the location was convenient-just a 5' walk from the train station, although you needed 20' walk to marietplatz. very friendly staff-helped us with every single query we had!!! a bonus was the free coffee machine in the lobby for free refill any time you wished.

didn't like the area outside the hotel that had many homeless people. the fact that they don't clean the room every day was weird but you could get fresh towels if you wanted from a station in the upper floors. the pillows were too soft for my taste and i could barely sleep.

- Very close to the main train station, easy to get to. - Check-experience was lovely: the employee at the desk was warm, welcoming and very informative. He enabled us to check in to our room early and highlighted the free tea and coffee station in the reception area for us to enjoy while we waited. - The room was a very good size, with soundproof windows, a nice and comfortable, large bed, and also a great bath. - The facilities in the room were sufficient and well appreciated, even for one night - a TV, a mini fridge, plenty of hangers. - We really enjoyed the breakfast, which really surpassed our expectations; there was a juicer and fruits/vegetables for guests to make their own juice, plenty of hot and cold options, delicious bread rolls, plenty of alternative milk options (oat, soya) as well as yoghurt options.

There was nothing negative about this place. If I had to find two small things, it would be that the tea and coffee station was located on the ground floor in reception, and not individual tea/coffee stations in the rooms and that there were no alternative milk options there (although I didn't ask in reception, but I'm sure they could've provided).

Fantastic experience. A super easy walk from the train station. Easy check in and lovely staff. The room was spacious and clean. When we checked in, we noticed our tv not working correctly (chrome cast and YouTube app) I message the hotel on booking.com asking for advice and within 5 minutes, Elizabeth from the front desk was at our room fixing the television. The tv was fixed quickly without issues. Some of the negative feedback of the hotel was the “unsafe” neighborhood and our experience was that’s simply not true. The neighbour is culturally diverse with a lot of family restaurants and shops. Not once did we feel unsafe. There is homeless present in the area but the same is present in other parts of Munich. We were never bothered or really noticed. Hotel is walking distance from all the attractions and restaurants. Only slight negative was that there is no daily housekeeping but that is assisted by having housekeeping supplies you can grab on the first floor.

We stayed at this gem of a hotel property in Munich. The location is excellent, and Elisa, who checked us in, was very warm, friendly, and helpful. The room was very comfortable & cozy & had all the amenities one needs for a relaxing stay. The beverage counter in the lobby was very well stocked with a variety of teas & coffee and a great place to mingle with the other guests in the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. There was a huge spread, and each item was delicious. Rita, the server, was attentive, friendly, and helpful and made sure we totally enjoyed our breakfast! We highly recommend this hotel to travelers from around the world.

The room furnishings were very modern and practical. It was great that we were able to adjust the heating temperatures so we were comfortable. We enjoyed having free teas and coffees from the coffee machine in the lobby. The location was convenient walking distance to the train station and there were a number of interesting ethnic restaurants in the area.

The room was a little small but it was very well laid out and equipped. It was a little difficult to get in and out of the tub since there was no grab bar over the tub and I had to use the towel bar to the side of the bath.

Very friendly reception staff during our stay (22 to 23 Feb). Super breakfast with very good staff. A great selection of good quality breakfast items, including wonderful rolls and even sparkling wine. Free hot drinks in the lobby. Modern room and bathroom seemed newly refurbished. Practical location - 5 mins brisk walk from the station, about 20 mins walk to Marienplatz. Were made to feel very welcome.

The room was very small. The hotel is in a part of town where most of the shops, cafés and people on the street are not German. It doesn't feel comfortable to linger, and there are a lot of foreign beggars to dodge on your walk towards the old town.

The staff was friendly and responded quickly on all question and request. You can find the coffee machine in the hotel lobby where you can take free tea and coffee any time. Also in lobby can be bought some snacks and wine which will be charged later by hotel staff. The instruction which hotel provides by mail for later after 23:00 check-in is simple and clear.

The rooms have a bit bad solutions in bathroom like short shower hose, doors and shelves in shower area that interfere.

The room was very comfortable and clean, with friendly staff. Breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The location was very convenient to the train station and also Oktoberfest, which was our primary reason for coming to Munich at this time.

The room was mostly quiet, though the streets seemed to be a heavily traveled route for emergency vehicles, as sirens were very frequent throughout our stay. The shower/bathroom had a few minor issues: The shower stall step-up was very high over the floor, which made ingress/egress a bit difficult. I am not a fan of translucent doors/walls for bathrooms, which seems to be a trend in hotels I've stayed in recently. Adding that this was a sliding "barn door" style, it really compromised bathroom privacy. Not a problem if you're traveling solo, but more than a little awkward for couples.

When some of the reviews said the area was sketchy I was expecting a knife in the ribs. Turns out I felt way safer there than I do in my hometown of NYC. Yes, the hotel is in a working-class Turkish neighborhood, but we're talking young families with kids, bakeries, grocery stores, etc. - with some dodgier stuff thrown in - but no drunk teens, no bums in alleys, no cloud of pot smoke. The hotel itself is immaculate, and the staff are very accommodating and welcoming. For a "no frills" hotel, this was a very pleasant place to stay a night, and it's walking distance to the main train station and all the attractions of downtown Munich.

If I had to nitpick, the elevator may be an issue for those with limited mobility because of oddly placed stairs, but for anyone else it's fine.

Hotel Mirabell was a great hotel for exploring Munich and Oktoberfest. Their staff are amazing and extremely helpful - they were there for a majority of the day and were great at helping navigate where to go and any other small bits we had to do. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was clean and the toilet facilities were great. They had a lockbox as well which functioned well. The location was ideal as it was only an 8-10 min walk from the Munich Hbf station which was a great hub to catch any trains outside of Munich. Breakfast was located in the basement of the building and there was a good spread of food. It was well stocked with plenty of options.

The cost was high but we understood that because of Oktoberfest. There was a lot of construction work happening around the area at the time but this was out of their control.
