I loved how great the staff is, the cleanliness of the property interiors, the smell of fresh coffee when I arrived to check in, the location the covered parking areas, the extra height of the shower head, quick hot water, the proper amount of towels in the room, functionality of the room heating system (it heated quickly), the room amenities and provided items were sufficient, the beds were comfortable and the television provided many channels (several for kids) and the laminate flooring.

We didn't experience anything noteworthy of leaving a negative review. Just keep in mind that the motel is older and is getting TLC. Perhaps a suggestion would be to replace the tight fitting armchair with a small end table near the bed. We were pleased with our short stay. While the motel does offer grab n go breakfast items, Burgerville, next door is open for breakfast, as is, Cousins Saloon and Mama Jane's Pancake House.

They didn’t have quarters for the laundry facilities and the ice machine didn’t work. Also I had hoped to stay in the main hotel I asked for an upper floor which I had stayed in before the elevator was out of service but I didn’t mind the stairs. Plus had access to a dining hall for breakfast. This time I was charged 30$ more and stayed in the second building not even attached to main hotel parking was tight breakfast was in the main building and gone by 620 when I left for work I understand doing renovations but I would have liked to fells more welcomed

Pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. Hotel is under major renovation and the clerk offered us a ground floor room vs taking the stairs up 2-3 floors. Nice "grab-n-go" breakfast selection (fruit, yogurt, granola bars, milk, bagels or cereal)

Parking was a little tight for our extended cab pickup but was still manageable.

Very clean, great check-in. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, personable gentleman at check-in. Extremely clean facility, comfortable beds. Loved the roll up blinds on the window. Great light blocking.

Continental breakfast was ok, but some sort of protein would be nice, even peanut butter. Check-out person was blah, no eye contact, only minimal conversation and only what she had to say to do her job.

We loved the location and the hotel being pet friendly was a huge plus! Our dog wasn't allowed in the main building (big dog) but the other building was incredibly quiet and easy to get to/from. The Dalles was definitely warm but the Air Conditioning in the unit made us forget all about the heat.

I was bummed the pool was not even close to being open but just north towards the river was the local swimming hole/dock. It being Saturday it was a bit of a hotspot and great place to cool down. Dog loved it too!

PI have always enjoyed staying at the affordable accommodation provided. However The new, planned, expensive "upgrades" will have me looking elsewhere. And that is unfortunate. And unnecessary. Dang.

Any and all the modernization and remodeling resulting in Hiked rates for a blue collar town. Sucks.

Great deal. We had a nice clean room with a super comfortable bed. The staff was outstanding and super helpful. They also have breakfast buffet that was really nice.

The hot and cold water is super sensitive, making it difficult to adjust temperature and didn't have a lot of water pressure.

Excellent location, very clean and quiet room, with a comfortable bed. I appreciated the daily maid service, which is not a given these days with a moderately-priced room elsewhere.

I would have liked better choices for the included breakfast. But it was adequate.

Spacious, lots of parking, nice staff, tasty snacks in the mornings. Water pressure was ok and the shower head was tall enough for a 6 foot person to fit under easily. Good location close to a bakery and several coffee drivethroughs.

Didn't like waiting outside in 20 degree weather for someone to come let me in when coming in late - front and back doors were locked after 9pm. If you are not going to provide a card scanner on the door, then at least put a sign by the broken doorbell to let people know it's necessary to bang on the glass windows to get someone's attention. It would have been nice to have a light over the desk/working area.

We appreciate that we were on the east side of the building on a very, very hot evening. The room was comfortable and quiet at night. It was a great value and nice hot shower with secure safety grab bars, if needed.

The room was a little tired and needed to watch jewelry/toiletries near bathroom sink as no stopper/catch.
