The staff were really nice and friendly and the room was comfortable. Although the furniture etc has seen better days, it is clean

It is more a hostel than a hotel, so I would have liked that made clearer when it was advertised. I paid to upgrade the room when I got there so we could have a private bathroom, otherwise we'd have had to share a bathroom. I should have checked about the bathroom before I booked to be fair, but as Ive never had to check that before for a regular hotel. I wouldn't not recommend the place, I'd just have liked to know it's more a hostel

Fantastic value - I had a room with en-suite shower room - very central location and easy to get around. I recommend Green Rooms - super close to the tube, very friendly, helpful staff and nice, clean rooms. Very much enjoyed my stay.

my windows would not close - not big deal in August but I have told the management so I am assuming these will be fixed by now

I have stayed here before when attending the snooker masters at ally pally. The location is perfect just a 1 min walk from Wood Green station. Surrounded by everything you need from pubs and restaurants to take aways and supermarkets. Ally pally is only a few bus stops away only £1.75 or a long walk up hill.

A Tv in the room would have been nice. Lucky I did have my laptop with me and was using the Wi-fi so I could still watch movies etc. Also if the room was a little bigger to have own toilet, shower and sink.

It's a 20-25 minute walk to the Alexandra palace and only a 5 minute walk from the Wood Green Tube station. There's plenty of food, coffee and supermarket shops close to the hotel. There's a bus stop right outside and if you are going to the Ally Pally you just need to get on the W3 and it will drop you right outside. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Shower wasn't draining properly in our room. And the room was a little cold at first as there was only one radiator downstairs by the door. However, our bed was up the stairs and the window had been left open which didn't help. It soon got warm though.

comfortable beds, clean and spaceous room. located very close to the tube station, thus handy to travel from and to london. staff very friendly, other guests are also discreet. despite being shared, the bathrooms look clean and seem to be cleaned regularly. around the hotel there are several services such as bakeries and supermarkets so you can grab your breakfast or lunch on the way out.

you cant hear anything from the restaurant below but the windows dont completely block the light from outside, and the hotel is located on a busy street and the windows are not much sound proofed, so in the morning you wake up very early due to that. actually could be seen as a positive thing so you can get out early to visit london.

I have stayed here once before and booked it again as it was a pleasant stay and great value for money! The staff are lovely and very helpful, and the room (the same as last year) was cosy and clean. The bed was comfy too! It is on the more basic side, but cannot complain for the price, and we were only there to sleep and shower. There is a lovely Japanese restaurant below, which we ate at and that was fabulous. Perfect walking distance to Ally Pally and the bus to there also stops just outside the hotel. Will stay here again.

Nothing, it was just as expected!

we were worried about noice from the street after reading other comments but it was fine. The toilet was clean and the shower was good enough to enjoy. It is located at Zone 3, so our weekly transport was more expensive than we thought, but it is right in front of the tube station, so super convenient. Great value for money if you will be out enjoying London during the most of the day!

We asked for a room not facing street and they wrote they could meet our request on Booking. But then we got a room facing the street. The floor is noisy while walking so you can hear people walking around.

Location was amazing, restaurant amazing. Was a large room, beds really comfy, loved the set up old furniture was very cool. We assumed it being a hostel/hotel it would be really loud and it wasn't. We were right next to a bus stop too and busy road but still good nights sleep! We will be back!

Honestly the room was such good value for money, so we were really happy. If I had to push then a kettle in the room would have been fab and some mugs even if you had to provide your own tea and coffee. The shared bathroom/showers were ok, what you would expect.

Really good location, literally a 20 min walk from Alexandra palace where we were headed for a concert. The restaurant downstairs was amazing and the staff were all really lovely! I had an accident at the concert and needed advice on where to head for an A&E department and the lady who checked us out spent a good half an hour helping us find the best transport route to the hospital we needed to get to. Can’t fault the place!

Didn’t like the shared bathroom situation, much prefer a private bathroom. But it wasn’t a deal breaker given everything else about the property!

Our stay at The Green Rooms was fab! All the staff we encountered were very friendly & welcoming. Its location was really good, as it was literally across the road from Wood Green tube station. Wood Green is also on the Piccadilly line, so we were able to get the tube straight from Kings Cross Station to Wood Green - very convenient! Our room was a good size, and was clean & fresh. The furniture was rustic and provided lots of storage space, as well as a hanging towel rack. The bed & bedding was really comfy! Towels & hand towels were provided. Because it’s just off of the tube station, it’s in quite a busy central location, but closing the windows blocked most of it out & there was an extra sliding window layer which also helped. The shared bathroom was good too, and was clean. When a guest did… mess the toilet up… it was cleaned up very quickly. The showers were a good size and the water was lovely and warm. Overall the building is beautiful! We didn’t eat at the restaurant downstairs, but it always smelt very good & was very cute. We will 100% be returning to The Green Rooms!

Just as something to note - because the building is old, the floors are very creaky. We could hear other people moving about next to/above us. If you’re a light sleeper I would maybe recommend bringing earplugs just in case! Also, while the rooms are lovely, it’s also worth noting that there isn’t a hairdryer or tea-making supplies. We weren’t expecting these in the room anyways, but just something to keep in mind.
