Worth mentioned is Eric at the Reception. He is the one that is sincere and eager to assist. Efficient, calm, he has a heart for the hotel guests! He is The one that makes hotel guests feel at home. What an asset to the Hotel.

Hotel doesn’t include daily breakfast but provides us with a one-off USD25 for its F&B outlets on site ! In my room, hot water takes time to come. Thin walls that inevitably make “sharing” conversations of neighboring room possible.

Excellent location to attend a concert at the Greek Theater. Cool architecture and decor. Clean room; pretty modern.

Parking lot was essentially unusable due to extremely small size and advertisement should have stated as such. Hotel service people are understaffed which caused lots of wait time. We could clearly hear the people the adjacent room, which was adjoining. Not sure why we were given that room.

Nice and welcoming check in with Eric, great service and atmosphere at Henry’s. Graduate theme, do not disturb flag, nice touches. Right in the middle of the Cal atmosphere, great hotdog around the corner at Topdog, one block to the campus… wonderfull!

Shower water pressure, noises from room above, but I alteady knew that coming in, staying in a historic building.

The location was excellent….a few steps away from UC Berkeley. Also, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, including hot dog at Top Dog, pizza places and others. Henry’s, the restaurant/bar on the first floor, is a very good addition to the Hotel itself. The parking right behind the building was very convenient also.

Although the overall atmosphere was fine, everything appears a bit old. There are not much amenities in the room.

Location so close to campus was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

Parking is a problem. You never know if there will be an available space for you or not When we find a space, we never move our car because we don’t know whether we will get one again. Unfortunately this keeps you from leaving the area by car.

The staff were wonderful, especially Tia, who made sure we had a marvelous room with views on both sides on the 6th floor.

Bit difficult to schedule our brief daily outings, as well as the visits of relatives to our room, without knowing the exact hours cleaning staff would need access to our rooms... Disapointed with the lack of a coffee machine and the availabilty of Real coffee in our room, instead of just having instant coffee powder to mix with hot water.

Great location near restaurants and eateries and within short walking distance to UC Berkeley. Front Desk Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food at Henry's and Poindexter was delicious.

Perhaps there could be water available in the lobby area for guests.

The location, decor, the bar attached, the room was comfortable

There was an issue with the water not working in our first room so we had to switch rooms, but the staff was so nice and accommodating so it wasn’t that big of a deal because they were so great!

Housekeeping

Great location, very close to the Berkeley University, very helpful staff, the room is very spacious with two king size beds - good for families or friends travelling together.

The shower water pressure in the bath room was very weak, also noice isolation is not good, you can hear your neighbours talking.
