Excellent location. Lots of useful services like a laundry room, pool, parking and a gym.

Parking is 50 a day which is expensive .

I liked the location and the rooms we got had incredible views of the city. Close by to several convenient stores and a couple of restaurants. Victors Pizza around the corner was really good. Also this hotel is right next to a cable car stop and bus stops which is very convenient to get around. For being a last minute booking I loved the views and how they accommodate us to sleep comfortably with our family.

The only thing I didn’t like was that we didn’t get connecting rooms but they did accommodate us across from each other on the same floor for being a last minute booking it was pretty good. :) The views on both sides were perfect.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the celebration of our anniversary. The reception was unexpected. Check in time was 3 pm, we were checked in at 1 pm. Every day, the Bell men and security guards gave us maps and instructions on what bus to take to explore the city and how to get back, specifically Joseph. On a rainy day, they lent us an umbrella.The facility is a walking distance from Whole foods, cable car service, bus services, and union square. Staying at this hotel literally added the spice we needed to enjoy our visit to a city we’ve never been to . As a result, we see San Francisco as one of the most enjoyable place to visit.

I think this hotel is an unbeatable choice if you are looking for a good location, close enough to the city center but in a more calm and secure area. You can even walk down to several tourist places if you arent scared of SF crazy hills. Room was very confortable and with a fantastic view of the city, specially at night. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I was concerned about getting a room near the elevators after reading some reviews, and unfortunately, that’s what happened. However, the noise turned out to be minimal, and I didn’t feel the need to request a room change.

Incredible views. Felt like a much nicer hotel than the brand name suggests. Normally I wouldn’t ever stay at a Holiday Inn, but this property feels like a four star hotel. Rooms were clean and luxurious. Did not look like a motel. Staff was excellent.

There were way too many kids and families on the property. Windows did not open so no fresh air was available. AC provided adequate ventilation, but fresh air would have been classier. Did not feel safe for LGBT travelers or straight guests looking for adult fun. Hotel is overpriced relative to competitors in San Francisco. They charged me a $300 deposit that was very inconvenient. My bank told me it would take 31 days to refund.

We were very happy at this hotel. Super helpful front desk and bell staff -- very welcoming. The room was a generous size, and everything seemed updated. The room finishings and amenities were nice; it's not a high-end sort of place, but it felt high-end-adjacent -- they're trying hard. The bed and bedding were COMFORTABLE. The buffet breakfast was REALLY GOOD. No, they haven't found a way to make chafing-dish-eggs into something delectable, but the eggs were still good, plus they offered a veggie frittata that we haven't seen elsewhere. The hotel has reserved a big corner of the ground floor with huge windows for the breakfast and bar area. The space is bright and airy for an evening drink or for breakfast. The hotel's location is fine. You won't feel like you're in tourist ground zero -- the hot spots aren't far, but they aren't right where the hotel is, either. Fisherman's Wharf, for example, is a little over a mile away, but we walked it (mostly downhill), and we're both north of 60. You can also pick up the cable car on California Street a little over a block away.

The only negative was the location, and even that is pretty good. It's a good neighborhood -- you'll feel safe. It's just not on top of the high-traffic tourist spots that you'll want to see if you're in SF for sightseeing.

Great second stay! I cancelled my reservation at a different hotel and returned after my first stay for a second three night stay. Loved the view! Bed was super comfortable. I asked Housekeeping to bring a microwave to the room and they did. Erick at the front desk was kind and welcoming beyond expectation.

I booked twice for two Grand View room stays through Booking.com. Both rooms were adjacent to the elevator shaft. The elevator sound was pretty persistent, except in the late night hours. I think the property gives these rooms to Booking.com at a discount. I reframed the noise as high wind and didn't let it bother me, but it might bother some people.

The restaurant staff were not pleasant. We had breakfast there two mornings two different set of staff were not pleasant. Everyone was very short with all of the patrons. One waiters was asking the airline crew if they were finished and it was obvious they didn’t speak English as their first language and she said are you done yes or no in the very unpleasant tone. I asked for eggs to made over easy. I said I know there will be a charge. May I Have eggs. The lady said to me twice it is not included. I said I understand I would like the eggs over easy and again she said it is not include and again I said I understand may I please have eggs over easy. I will pay for them. The restaurant staff, they need training service is not their forte

Be more pleasant and approachable. Rude is not nice.

When I was assigned our rm it was one bed. We went back to the desk and asked for 2 beds as requested. They quickly changed it to 2 beds. The rm was great, sound proof . The tub faucet was in need of repair. I called down. They fixed it immediately. The location was very convenient . We left our car in the parking garage. Public transportation is much easier.

I needed smaller bills for the public transportation. The front desk and the coffee shop didn’t have cash to do this and told me I could go to the bank next door. Witnessed another person also trying to get change . They were not well informed about how to give info about the bus system. Once the concierge was available they were hugely helpful.
