This hotel is amazing with so much character and loaded with antiques on every floor. The staff was great, breakfast was fulfilling, room was great, bed was so comfortable. It was decorated so well for Christmas, so it really put you in the mood for the season. Be sure you sit by one of the two fireplaces downstairs with a cup of tea to take in the feeling of the hotel. The cookies in the afternoon were delicious. You'll love riding on the elevator. I would stay here again in an instant if I'm back in the city again. It is near the end of the California trolley line, so you can get to Chinatown or other parts of the city.

The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have more time to stay here longer.

The breakfast was well rounded and better than most hotels. You could have a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, or cereal, yogurt and some fruit. Pastries, bagels and English muffins were also available.

Breakfast time was too short. A half hour longer would be good. The spaces and rooms were clean but in need of fresh paint.

I loved the age of the building and the Victorian decor. The employees were kind, friendly, and helpful. My room was very comfortable and clean, and everything was in working order. The included breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay here again.

I have nothing negative to report.

We enjoyed the large lounge with coffee and tea always avaiiable and the afternoon cookies and sherry. There were plenty of good chairs and sofas and gas fires on. The staff were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. We loved the Victorian decor and furniture throughout.

It took a long time and mentions to three different staff for a light bulb to be replaced ! Most of the prints / pictures on the walls were from an earlier period than the 1890 hotel, but were still attractive.

Breakfast was provided and it was nice! I do wish that there could be a change in menu everyday. Free cookies, coffee and tea was provided 24/7 too. Staff was always friendly and helpful! The heater in the room was strong and I loved it!

I thought that there would be a fridge but there isn't, but definitely not a dealbreaker!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is always someone in the front to unlock the front door since it remains lock most of the time for security reasons. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast staff was very attentive. The room and hotel overall has a great vintage Victorian decor. The location was very convenient near Japantown and very safe and quiet. Next time we come back to San Franciso, we plan on staying at the Queen Anne Hotel again!

I didn't like hearing about the reported haunting in Room 410, but mjy wife did! LOL!

The hotel lived up to its image as a grand old establishment, and the furnishings and decor were lavish and extravagant! The hotel was clean and met all our needs very well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the car provided in the mornings was very handy until we knew our way around a bit better. The hotel has a lovely piano, and some quirky USPs like serving mid-afternoon sherry and cookies, as well as some other nice touches which made our stay even more relaxed and welcoming.

The building is old and, although kept spotlessly clean, shows signs of wear and tear. Our room was rather gloomy and the brocade silk-style bed covers felt a bit tacky and I didn't like sleeping under them, and would have preferred simple cotton sheets and covers. However, this is not a complaint - more to inform a potential visitor of what to expect. This hotel is charming, and well-priced, and well-positioned in the city, and the staff are wonderful!

Really sweet 18th-19th century charm with pretty authentic furniture and artwork. Like a different world. Many sofas to sit on, fireplace. It was cozy and the guests were nice, staff very helpful. The bed was large and comfy, we didn't specifically ask for a baby bed but got that. It was quiet so for relaxation it was right. It was great the hotel was kid-friendly and there were not many things kids could damage. Parking lot was available.

Breakfast was not great - very basic, seemed like a low quality, wished more actual ceramic and less one-use cups around coffee machine, and hot water option in breakfast hall. Some of the artwork seemed quite unprofessional and quickly done pieces of the painting style of 18th-19th centuries.

The hotel is all about the vibe. It’s not Hyatt/Pullmann fancy, but it’s a lot more. Historic building reminded me of old hotels in London. The location is very good, but the personnel - that’s a real jewel. Incredibly friendly and welcoming, supportive and nice. The breakfast is simple but everything is tasty. I’d say I missed veggies but everything there was good. Also there’s 24/7 tea and coffee stand with fresh cookies, a spacious lobby with fireplaces and victorian furniture. In overall, this hotel was a big part of our SF experience.
