The room was clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable, and the bedding and pillows are good. The shower has hot water. Cleaning service is available upon request. Each guest is provided with an access card. The elevator is small but functional. The reception staff was kind and helpful whenever needed. The hotel is well located, with a pizzeria and supermarkets nearby. It offers easy walking access to bus stops and a metro station.

At the time of payment, they only accept a single card, and it must be under the name of the person who made the reservation. This is not stated on Booking and caused inconvenience, as we were expecting to split the payment among all guests.

Room was very clean and staff was very nice. Came back to a cleaned room and made bed each night after the Dead & Co shows. Would definitely stay again. Was very happy with the quality of the stay with a fair price.

Only downside I can think of I guess would be the location. The hotel itself is in a safe/fun location with easy access to a corner store and pizza joint across the way. Mc d and 7/11 less than 8 minute walk. If you arrive at night and get off BART at Civic Center/UN Plaza maybe get an Uber to the hotel to skip walking through the Tenderloin. Other than that I never had a reason to pass through and got Ubers late at night. Had 0 issues :)

Staff was really nice, accommodating and helpful. I requested a lower level floor etc. and there were no issues. Pictures fit the rooms. Seems like the renovations they've done were geared to rooms. They're more updated & modern, but hallways and hotel itself are definitely on the "dinkier" side. Hence, the "cheaper" price I guess :p . 2-10 min walk to a bunch of various bus stops. 10 min walk to Chinatown. Nice size fridge (bigger than mini) and microwave. Very roomy closet, comfortable mattress. Fan (no AC) and windows. Can store luggage in their office after check out. Definitely fit my needs as a solo traveler.

Definitely an older hotel. Older decor in hallways etc., sometimes a bit of a smell, smaller/narrower. Elevator wasn't always working (heavy 1st door and caged 2nd door) and I even got stuck inside once when caged door wouldn't re-open (staff came and opened door no problem, so I guess it happens often?) so I was glad to be on the 2nd floor. Avoided it for the rest of the trip besides when leaving with my luggage. If you raise the fan level, the light dimmed a bit. Shower pressure was very light and wifi was wanky sometimes. Only mirror is in the bathroom above the sink. Room was on smaller end, but I was 1 person. No ice or water machine. No drawers/shelves besides closet. Walls are THIN. Often heard others' conversations, laughter etc. as if right near you, which was pretty annoying.

It was amazing to have a microwave and fridge in the room! Was great living in the top floor! Window could be opened which made the room comfortable, recommend to keep it open during the night for better air.

Microwave and fridge smelled bad, we didn’t complain about it is our fault it wasn’t fixed. Also the TV was kind of behind the shelf, not too bad but a bit annoying. The view was straight into someone’s apartment, but far enough!

Cleanliness as well as a good price.

The elevator was hard to manage at times. It was one of those old fashioned ones you see in black and white movies. The stairway before you get to the front door would be hard for some. The gentleman was helpful as well as the staff. The room was small but, had what we needed. Stayed for a week at a reasonable price. A great coffee shop across the street, bodega and bar walking distance from the place. Parking was in the garage a block away that cost us an extra $50.00 per night.

Good for the price, the staff its very kind and helpful, very comfortable room, clean and cozy, its small but enough space for one or 2 peoples, the facility looks old but everything works good. Its a grocery store & laundry next to the building and this is so helpful.

I stayed there 3 nights and I hadn't clean room service, I requested 2 times for a clean and dry towels and I put my trash outside because they never went to my room to clean or change sheets.

Truly, not liked, but loved the property. The only thing preventing a Mithila Hotel stay till this day, and I believe the feeling is mutual, THE STAFF. Through my any years of travel I conclude that Patel ( Patel Hotel in India culture ) need to have someone like ME or teach them about ME and other of my culture. The negative INITIAL INTERACTION is no coincidence when this accursed time after, and time and time again. Thank for asking. -LVIII

The location is great in the sense it is close to the city center where I had to go. The staff is helpful. It is also fairly quite, and has a convenient store right down the stairs. The WIFI works well and the room was fairly clean.

The neighborhood is what it is, as many other comments have noted, i.e. a run-down neighborhood with homeless people and fairly dirty streets.

The property was clean and organized, there is an elevator which is nice for when you bring luggage, the staff was nice and answered all of my questions in time, the room was clean and spacious, for the price it was amazing.

The shower can be a little problematic with the water pressure but otherwise it is great

I loved the bay window and wooden shutters which felt like someone's home versus a hotel room. The room was very comfortable. I don't know why but I also loved the floral carpeting in the hallway.

I would have liked an outlet closer to the bed and a bedside table but the larger desk was great for eating takeaway and there was an outlet I could use to charge my phone so it all worked out.
