Extremely clean place. It was nice to have the gated entrance. Very cute, updated retro motel. The room was very roomy. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have the couch and a nice size tv. Location was very close to the paramount theater. Fridge was nice to have in the room. Definitely comfortable!

The parking spots are tight. We parked in the handicap spot and when we went to our car the next morning, there was car parked in the handicap loading zone pretty much on top of our car. Dumb how the hotel allowed the car to park illegally.

Security is great especially when you are coming into an area unknown to you. Parking is secured which I very much liked. However, parking is a bit of a hassle due to the size of spaces. It’s cramped and there are few outside the carport type spots for bigger cars. Parking is first come first serve. The unit was cute and clean, updates are nice and fitting for the unit. This spot is budget friendly for the area and perfect for short stays. There are highly rated eateries within walking distance. The owner (?) was very nice and accommodating. Helped us figure out the A/C in our unit and helped us park the car.

Parking was very tight. Not great for bigger cars.

The room was wonderful for the price ! It had everything that I like, except for a microwave, but I can work with that. Supremely de-stressing to have protected parking ! The hotel housekeeper was so nice too ! The air conditioner worked well, and the tiles in the bathroom are so pretty ! Well done on the Remodel. The Man at the Check-in/out desk was cordial, and professional. A literally PERFECT location for what we needed that night.

The tiny slip of paper that the Gentleman at the front desk gave me was not easy to decipher. I had to go back down to the desk ( stairs, as I was upstairs) to have him assist me. He was reserved, - yet cordial. Once that was sorted, I was good with the instructions. He did make me wait a bit,(To check in, and I had to go to the bathroom) and I was the only person standing there; - there was no line. But, he was nice enough. I was given a 1/2 hour later check-out , but online when I was confirmed, I was given a hour, until noon. So, I was rushed. Not a deal-breaker though, just something to make note of.

Great location, walking distance to Piedmont and good restaurants. Free, secure parking was a plus. Great value for a weekend trip!

Would recommend periodic deep clean of rugs. Room was very clean but rugs were dingy. This isn’t really the property’s fault, but for guests just be respectful of your fellow guests if you’re coming and going at late/early hours. The layout echoes every sound and it’s an older structure so noise travels (like slamming doors and revving car engines). Secure gate to enter was awesome but might want to message confirmed guests the day before with the gate code to facilitate check-in.

This is a great place to stay if you’re visiting the East Bay. We live in Marin and came over for a friend’s bday party and decided to make an overnight stay of it. The hotel is super cute, all the rooms have a different colored door and very aesthetically pleasing decor (think penny tile and subway tile) and there is gated parking (first come first serve) that make everything feel so much safer. Don’t let the area scare you it’s a bustling part of town and there’s great restaurants in the area including Brenda’s Soul Food (get the fried chicken and biscuit and the Po’ Boy)

I liked the following: - location - access to public transportation - staff (very friendly and helpful) - safety measures - affordability - access to restaurants and shopping nearby

What I did not like: - little bit noisy due to a location on a busy street (Broadway) - the property is located in a "safe" neighborhood, but not too far from a "less safe" neighborhood. I was advised not to leave after 9 PM......

Bright updated decor and style. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Great location with restaurants nearby and less than 10 min walk to Piedmont Ave. Inexpensive. Free parking protected by locked gate.

Lights in courtyard left on all night, lots of light leaked in. Some street noise. Not much surface area in the room. Owners were pleasant enough but brusque.

15 Minutes walk to Bart Station which brings you directly to san francisco which we used daily. Bed and Cushions were very comfy. Bathroom was very clean and looked new-ish to us. Good and quiet AC which ran through the night without waking us up. Parking space is in the fenced courtyard and a must for that area since we saw shattered car glass multiple times in that area. We had no problem getting a parking spot there but it is first come first served.

The refrigerator was quite loud but we just switched it off since we didn't need it. The sliding door to the bathroom did not closed properly and a the light went on by a motion sensor so i woke up my partner every time i used the bathroom at night.

Quiet, clean, comfortable motel. Safe. Near good restaurants, shopping, Kaiser Oakland hospital. Recently renovated rooms. Friendly staff. On-site parking. Good wifi. We stayed there for a week during remodeling of our nearby home. Very satisfied.

Would have liked a microwave.

The management is excellent - very friendly and concerned that guests are safe and well cared for. This is my third stay in two months, and I will return! Rooms are very comfortable and updated. Small refrigerator, coffee maker, great mattresses and pillows, air conditioning, wifi, large tv with many channels and movies, nice bathrooms with good lighting and hair dryers. Safe parking behind gated entry. Close to excellent restaurants, groceries and gas station.

All rooms are second floor with no elevator - but this is not a problem for me! The place is wonderful to stay at if you can navigate one flight of steps.
