I have stayed at this property many times and it is always a pleasure. The property is convenient to Trader Joe's and Ross if you need essentials, and close enough to UC Berkeley that it is an ideal upscale spot just outside of town.

The only thing that can be improved is the food labeling at breakfast, which is pretty much non-existent. Allergen labels would be ideal. Being vegan, I have to ask the staff what things are made with, and hope they know. Labeling would save staff time in finding answers, give patrons peace of mind, and make it easier for people with specific dietary needs or allergies to navigate the breakfast bar.

Property was very clean and modern in furnishings. Our room was well equipped, including the kitchen, and everything worked well. We thought the breakfast was quite good with lots of choices and the facilities were well maintained and plentiful. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The only small thing that we didn't like was that we had requested a room opposite from the train station. When we were prompted to check in online, we were later told that the technologic system for online checkin isn't set up to recognize special requests. The staff was unable to relocate us to our requested location, as they were fully booked. As it turned out, we didn't really hear the nearby train at night.

The rooms are spacious and clean. I didn't need the full kitchen for a one night stay, but price was a little less than other hotels in the area. Loved that it was super easy to stream content from my phone to the TV. Many hotels have not figured out that this is the preferred way to watch for more and more people. The bed was super comfy with lots of pillows for lo I nging / reading in bed. The breakfast was very good. Bacon, eggs, yogurt and fruit.

The desk clerks were not at all friendly and actually had an air of disdain toward the customers. I felt bad because they were having to work on Christmas night, but even simple questions were just too much for them. At one point, I thought we were going to get in a fight with one of them because we didn't understand how the room hold charge worked and she didn't want to go through the explanation in a civil manner.

The location of the hotel is across from a fun & vibrant food court & walking distance (1000 feet maybe) to Trader Joe's, and a nice park near downtown Emeryville, another block in the opposite direction. Also, the breakfast is great. There are lots of choices & (descent), coffee & tea!

Well, Amtrack runs 6am -10:30pm and could be heard while the Conductor Toooot- tooted) quite loudly upon arrival, ( or departure)?? Another item that was a bit hard for a 5'2" person, was the height of the removable shower wand. I think it was like 8ft up the wall...

Convenient location, walkable distance to shores, restaurants, the Public Market, which is like a multicultural food outlet ( food court). Breakfast in the hotel is included, and the food is done well, clean and efficient. Swimming pool is an excellent place to decompress with kids.

Lower floor rooms have more train and traffic noise, otherwise they are ok. If possible, get higher floor rooms. Ventilation for cooking is not so good, several times during our stay other guests try to cook, smoking up the whole corridor and smelling like frying oil for the whole day. Luckily we can open windows to ensure fresh air

I like that it gave you an apartment feeling beds were comfortable living room and kitchen with the stove top and refrigerator

We didn't get to enjoy the over crowded swimming pool with our kids!!! because the swimming pool was overcrowded with children as well as the hot tub had kids in it children young as 3 years old VERY DISAPPOINTED the whole reason for the Hotel stay was to enjoy some quality time with the kids. We need you staying in the room something we could have done at home without a swimming pool... I wish staff would have come to address the issue especially if babies are in the hot tub.buy it your Hotels so I can't charge what I think. Shower water didn't come out the spout like I thought it should I didn't enjoy the tat as well..

The location is perfect for visiting my daughter at UC Berkeley. Much nicer than staying in town, and easy to get to her apartment. The hotel is quiet, even with the Amtrak right across the street. I have stayed at this property multiple times for my trips to Berkeley, and recommend spending the difference to upgrade to the suite. They are roomy, comfortable, and provide dishes and silverware which is nice if you are going to bring food back to your room, or stop at the local Trader Joe's (nearby) to stock your room. My only recommendation is that the food needs to be clearly labeled for the breakfast.

There is no allergen info on the tags at the continental breakfast stating what the food ingredients are or if there are potential allergens, and as someone with a severe dairy allergy, it makes me apprehensive to eat anything that is not labeled. It would be nice to see more vegan options as well.

Very large comfortable suite in very convenient location (close walking distance to upscale shopping and dining). Surprisingly quiet, considering it looked out on an active train line, but the sound was hardly noticeable and did not interfere with my sleep at all (even though I am quite sensitive to sounds at night). The pool was very nice, extremely clean and kept at the perfect temperature to do a few laps. Although I gave a lower score for the "view from your room" since my room was facing a parking lot and train line, I believe the rooms on the other side of the hotel would have excellent views of SF Bay and the Golden Gate. The check-in at the front desk was extremely fast and efficient.

The front desk person could let the guest know that they will be charged for the overnight parking pass, just so they are clear.

I liked how roomy the suite was, modern amenities, 2 tvs- one in bedroom, one in family room, full kitchen with stove, microwave and dishwasher. It was stocked with plates, glasses, silverware. The frig was big and very cold. They had a nice coffee maker and good coffee. Our room had a view of the bay in two rooms. There is a nice marketplace, eatery where surrounding a full bar are about 12 different cuisines to choose from and a common area of tables to eat. We had the Korean bbq and lemon drops…yum, yum.

The area behind the hotel is a little sketch- wouldn’t walk back there at night.

Location is near a food market and sports bar area that has a lot of variety of foods to choose from. It is walking distance to the Emeryville Amtrak Station.

We faced the back side that overlooked the parking lot across from the Amtrak Station. To walk to this property arriving on train, you have to cross the bridge over the tracks in a very dirty and disgusting elevator. There are homeless people hanging out around this area. You don't see this from the front side of the hotel.
