I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the entire property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The courtyards felt private and peaceful—perfect for relaxing—and the gym was impressively well-equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which made for great sleep. I also appreciated thoughtful touches like the clothing steamer (so much better than the traditional iron and board!) and the reusable water bottles with refilling stations on every floor—both convenient and environmentally conscious. All around, a fantastic experience!

The only downside was the micro-sized refrigerator in the suite. I had brought food with me but wasn’t able to store it due to the limited space. A slightly larger fridge would have made the experience even better.

had the pleasure of being assisted by Vanessa during my stay at Kissel Hotel and she made my experience exceptional. I had to move in and out a few times, and she was incredibly flexible, going above and beyond to arrange everything for mr and accommodate my needs, and I really appreciated her efforts. Vanessa was not only professional but also personable and funny, making me feel welcome and valued. It’s clear she truly knows how to treat customers. Thanks to her, my stay was so much smoother and enjoyable. I’ll definitely stay here again should I come to Oakland , and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves for her outstanding service.

Everything was perfect.

I loved the hotel and staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the water bottles provided in the room as complimentary was a nice touch, however, one the bottles was not replenished. Housekeeping didn't change the bottles and I was left with an open used bottle in the room. This was a little disturbing because this means the housekeeper wasn't doing their due diligence by changing out the bottles. Which makes me think, what else did she overlook? If the cups in the room "looked" clean, did they just leave them? If the towels looked unused, did they not refresh them? Overall, the room was nice and the motion detected light under the bed was the best idea ever.

I didn't appreciate the used water bottle, left for us as a complimentary drink to be used and sitting on the desk as a fresh new one. Just because the bottle didn't look used housekeeping should have checked and replenished them.

In a somewhat safe part of Oakland and nicely decorated. Comfortable rooms, easy access to downtown for business and food.

Had a few interactions with staff that were less than serviceable. I called downstairs to get something brought up to my room and the person who answered told me she was too busy and I’d have to come down to get it. I also arrived on a Monday and left on a Wednesday and the same old room service sat outside a room for three straight days and the hallway started to smell. Not sure what their cleaning policy is but the seventh floor was neglected.

The hotel was centrally located - easy access off freeway. The hotel was smart and inviting - decor was well executed. Lobby was functional - and adjacent restaurant integrated into the functionality of the lobby separate but together. Room was spacious - so enjoyed the outdoor terrace. Was perfect place to relax and enjoy the warm summer evening. Bathroom was very well appointed -attention to detail - picture perfect..

It was very cute and a great location as far as close to places to eat they had a lovely restaurant on site

It was a bit expensive just even the snacks. It was just a little overpriced, especially seeing where it is. I just was turned off by the prices and I believe when you stay there, the valet should be a little bit cheaper. It really was the prices of just a snacks. Other than that it was fine. I would definitely recommend it. It was very cute.

Epic Magnificent Beautiful I was driving south from central Oregon to San Diego and spent the night here. It was such a sweet surprise and by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The value of the product was unexpected and so lovely. I’d travel to Oakland just to stay here again. The motion lights under the bed , the reading lights, the dim lighting and third story terrace option, the bathroom design…MAGNIFICENT THANK YOU

Clean, modern, wonderful layout and design and very thoughtful room design. The motion lights under the bed were so awesome along with the reading lights So cool

Location was good, lobby, bar area was great.

In the room: entrance way was painted black which made it hard to see. Bathroom which is off the entrance way did not have a light switch outside of bathroom. Had to go inside the dark room to turn it on. The hall switch was hard to turn on the dark painted hallway as well. Towels were on other wall from shower. A rack near tub would be nice.

Great location. Not far from the Bart station. Good choices for restaurants close by. The restaurant on premise, Otto's, was very good with sizable portions and reasonable prices. Otto's staff was very friendly and helpful, giving great recommendations. A special shout-out to Emily C. She was an absolute delight!

The bed could have offered more support for heavier people.

Everything! Absolutely professional staff, gorgeous hotel, felt safe & well taken care of! Valet car parking in a secure garage added to the appeal!
