The staff is very friendly and helpful. My family member has stayed at this facility multiple times, and staff members are very attentive and prompt to help. When I arrived with my family member for a return stay, a staff member at the front desk made a friendly comment on my change in my hairstyles!! Also, there was a time when my family member needed assistance in operating something inside his room. Someone from the front desk came upstairs, passing me in the hallway, as he made his way to the room. I must say, that I was surprised and PLEASED that he resolved the problem so promptly and exited the room before I even reached the elevator to go downstairs, which was only a few feet away from the room!!

I wish there was a special cart for loading the luggage of the guest, that can actually FIT through the door of the guest's room. My family member and I use walkers for mobility, and it makes it difficult for us to unload the hotel/INN's cart at the "door", and then get our belongings over to where they will be stored.

The location was good for being close to San Francisco, San jose, and other cities within an hour's drive. It's close to the water that you can walk to. Also, there is a plaza that has some restaurants and an arcade. The rooms are nice just. However, the room definitely could use some needed refurbishment. They do have free continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable. The cleanliness was definitely great!

Just to beware that there are railroad tracks that go through the street. There's a railway station just a block away. So, the trains will blow their horns starting early in the morning all the way till late at night. So, if you're a light sleeper, it's not a great place to stay.

I appreciate this big room with wooden floor. The air conditioning was turned on and the windows were already cracked open when I arrived to my room. The area is quiet and safe and Wifi has been working steadily. I like being close to the Waterfront and seeing the boats, Amtrak Station and I like the sound of the train because it reminds me of old 60s movies. It's great to have Starbucks around the corner and so near to the bus stop. I am not a breakfast/cereal person and I have only made it once to the 2nd floor since I have been here. Coffee is alright.

I did not appreciate the breakfast, sorry! There are no eggs!

The front staff were very kind and attentive. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The train going by was pretty noisy but I got used to it pretty quickly and I slept through the night so I don’t think it ran late hours. Love that it had a microwave, and mini fridge and also had really nice full bottle shampoos that smelled amazing and organic soap. Great touch for an inexpensive stay.

Not sure if I went too early or if that was it but the breakfast was yogurt, toast, or cereal with a kind of sludgy coffee. Oakland in general is not the safest but I didn’t feel unsafe during this stay.

I liked the location of the hotel it was near all the waterfront restaurants the scenery was nice they have a bowling alley right across the street with an arcade inside of the bowling alley if you have children so that's what I like about the location.

What I didn't like and I believe I can speak for most of the guests here is the loud 🤯Amtrak train 😳 it seems like all day all night I couldn't get to sleep until maybe 1:00 in the morning 😴 They need to get soundproof windows because it is just too loud housekeeping needs to mop the walk in space when you first walk into the room and after cleaning the room they need to spray some air freshener to make the room smell fresh and clean I used to be a housekeeper for 10 years and this is a hard job but you MUST SANITIZE ALL ROOMS because all types customers sleep's in these rooms and not including the pets.

The room was spacious with a comfy bed and a large & well-functioning bathroom. The price was reasonable, including a simple breakfast and free parking. I also was able to have a late check-out of noon! The location was really close to the yacht harbor, great seafood restaurants, and the ferry to S.F.

The remote to the TV didn't work and I had to call a few times to finally get a replacement which also didn't work. When the next person came on shift, a little later, he was able to resolve the problem.

I really enjoy the staff they are very friendly and helpful and from my experience they always put the customer first we are always right in their eyes that's what I like about the hotel.

The loud Amtrak train they need to make some soundproof windows in the near future but other than that there's nothing that I didn't like. One more thing is that breakfast being served from 7:00 to 9:00 I think it should start at 6:00 for the people that have to be at work earlier

Location was walking distance. Room was a good size. Very helpful staff.

Been there many times and you get exactly what you paid for. I happen to enjoy hearing and seeing the trains running right on the street. Over the years i’ve stayed at various upscale hotels in Oakland when on biz trips but when it’s on my nickel it’s the Jack London Inn.

Breakfast needs to open at 0600.
