Breakfast was awesome especially the staff making it. All the staff was actually exceptional at the hotel. The spacious room was lovely, the bed was comfortable as well. The seating in the room was also very comfortable and the hotel location was ideal as it was in walking distance to many places.

Though the rooms are clean and nice there were a few places that needed fixing. One main thing we noticed is no vent/fan in the bathroom. The Tv was also a little small for the room size. And the shower curtain didnt really work well. Other than those things our stay was lovely.

We did not have room serviced and no one coming in to clean the room and they charged me for parking in which they did not tell me when I checked in and I would not stay there again or recommend anyone to stay there

Great room, clean, spacious and really comfortable beds. Great location. We enjoyed our stay there. Loved the product in the bathroom and smell. We would definitely stay there again.

There is no parking included at the property. $53/night it is a lot of money. And the staff doesn't encourage to park on the metered parking on the street either.

Very friendly and welcoming receptionist, Kenya; room and bed were so spacious and spotlessly clean; amenities were excellent.

The area was sketchier than I'd expected; luckily I'm from similar so it didn't faze me too much : ) but might not suit a less street-savvy person!

I have stayed in MANY hotels in MANY cities in California and a large handful throughout the state; including Courtyards. The staff in Oakland were exceptional on every level. We were greeted with smiles every time we encountered an employee, engaged with "good morning", "good evening", and "welcome back" at every turn. The security guard was seen cleaning up debris from tables, and although the gentlemen at breakfast was working alone with a limited menu, he didn't say what he "couldn't do", but offered solutions with upbeat enthusiasm and a wonderful smile. The housekeeping staff was attentive, polite and kind. The valet were friendly, efficient and pleasant to interact with. I have been in the service industry for over 30 years and just wish to recognize an exceptional effort to create culture where employees truly and visibly enjoy coming to work every day. So...in short (brevity is not my strength haha)...THANK YOU ALL for a WONDERFUL and EXCEPTIONAL stay! Keep up the incredible work.

The front desk was extremely helpful and considerate because it was my first time in Oakland, CA. The room was clean and the employees were on top of assisting me in my needs.

Spacious room for the Bay Area and the beds were comfortable. The location can't be beat. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in the area.

Conveniently located within walking distance to lots of restaurants. Room was comfy & clean. Common areas were clean and well kept. Given the area, I felt better having my car parked in a secured lot, and the valets were friendly and attentive.

Exterior signage too small & made property hard to find while navigating downtown traffic. Exterior seemed a little run down & lack of signage on doors made the building almost look vacant from street level. Would’ve liked to have had a microwave in the room. Furniture in room seemed ready to be replaced. Sofa was frayed at the seems. The room was hot, and I was not able to adjust the thermostat. Had to leave the window open to regulate the temp.

Clean, stylish rooms. Good bed and bathroom.

Although helpful, and friendly, the front desk staff was usually not at front desk when we arrived or when we went down for service. They'd appear after a minute or two, but we found that a little odd.

wonderful location in the heart of china town district - walking to everything. parking is hard. valet is available tho!
